《Forbidden Love || Anakin x Reader》Chapter 62: Agony

Mustafar, a fiery planet located on the outer rim. It was once said the tiny planet used to be full of plants, of life, until Lady Corvax attempted to bring her dead husband back from death. Thus resulting in a gravimetric duel between gas giants and Lefrani. What a shame to love so deep and have nothing in the end.
Ani and Ahsoka had traveled to the lava-filled planet to recover the children that Bane had taken. However, there was a presence that was hard to place my finger on. It was dark and mysterious, a sith.
The ground beneath Anakin's and Ahsoka's feet had cracked, exposing the red hot lava. They were lucky even to survive, to recapture the younglings, but this had led the Jedi into a whirlwind. With the discovery of the dark, mysterious figure, they had no idea who it may be.
Anakin had been away once again, this time longer than usual. It had been a couple of weeks, yet all I did was stay on Courscant doing my casual duties. To train Zander into become a far better Jedi than he already is and taking care of Padme. I come to suspect she was the one who ordered me to stay on this planet, too afraid to see me hurt.
I sat in my usual spot, on the ledge of the floor overlooking the city. My feet dangled in the sky, and the wind brushed the side of my cheek. I was home. The loneliness would usually creep in during the night when I'd touch the other side of the bed and not feel his body.
"Master Ani, what a delight to see you. I shall tell Y/n." 3PO blurted out. His mechanical voice was surprised and joyful. My eyes darted towards the entrance door seeing his tall body walk in. In one hand, he was carrying a tray with a metal cover on top.

"Anakin!" I shouted. I moved my body in his direction, leaving what I was doing aside.
"That will be all 3PO," I commented. My body slowed down as I approached him. A wide smile cracked in between my lips. I was ready to embrace him; however, C3PO's figure stood behind him.
"Are you sure, my lady?" 3PO asked. He peered over Ani's shoulder, begging to stay.
"Yes, 3PO. Now go." I replied.
"Oh, very well." The droid whispered. He turned around, slowly hanging his head down as he walked towards the exit. There was a calming presence; to be around him again was intoxicating.
His body closed into mine, wrapping me into a hug. He smelled like mint and oranges. His usual sent. My hands puzzled onto his back so diligently and automatically.
"I brought dinner." He chuckled. He held out the tray; I lifted an eyebrow, "How did you manage this?" I softly questioned. My voice was calm with a tint of confusion. He never brought food, nor did the ship carry any.
"I had to hitch a ride on a cargo freighter." He shrugged. His cheeks turned a slight pink; he was slightly embarrassed. "What happened to your military transport?" I asked sarcastically. I knew the obvious answer; he crashed it. "Eh, it blew up."
I rolled my eyes playfully. He walked a few steps into the living room, placing the tray on the middle table. "Anyways, the freighter captain was bringing a shipment to a restaurant here, and he gave me something to bring home." he was excited, and it was cute to see him this way. There were hardly any times in which we shared moments like this. He grabbed my hand, bringing my entire body in a swing in front of his.

His lips landed on mine, "Ani, the Naboo Ambassador, gave me something. I think I still have it here somewhere." I mumbled in between kisses. The boy never gave me a chance to pull away; he laughed as I tried my best to form a sentence.
"Oh, must be something good." He laughed. He pulled away, propping his body on the couch lazily. He rested his head leaning backward on the sofa, though his eyes observed my body. Dragging them upward, it brought tingles all over my body.
"It is. It'll be perfect. Five-blossom bread, my specialty." I joyfully bragged. I loved cooking; my mother always taught me different recipes. I'd use my free time to make meals for family and friends, and on occasions, I'd even sell them.
"You have a specialty?" Ani lifted his eyebrow. My mouth turned into an "o" taken back by his comment. A gasp followed right after. "I know how to make lots of things. When I was little, I cooked every day. I've been saving it for a special occasion." He laughed as he shook his head playfully. I bit my lower lip, embarrassed.
"An evening alone with you? I can't think of an occasion more special." He reached out his arms, insisting I move towards him. "Come here," he added. My body did so without a thought. My legs rested on his lap and my head on his shoulder. "How about round two?" He joked. I slapped his chest, laughing at his stupid comment. Five minutes back, and he has other things in mind.
"I wish it could always be just like this." I grabbed his hand tightly, closing my eyes into them. I savored these few moments that can quickly flash away. "Me, too." he kissed the top of my head, massaging my back with his free hand while the other held my thigh. For once, it was only us and nothing else.
That was until his intercom band started to chip. My heart dropped at that instance. "Ugh!" He groaned. "I have to report to the Jedi council."
'"Right now?" I asked. The sun had already set; what could the council want with him now. He had just arrived, and now he is being whisked away again. "Actually, about seven clicks ago." He scratched the back of his neck, dodging eye contact. My eyes darted to the ground. Naturally, I didn't want him to leave.
"If I keep delaying Obi-Wan, well, you know what will happen. He'll send a clone squad out to find me. I've been ducking his signals all day." he added. My eyes were still staring at the ground, not wanting to divert them. I sighed, relaxing my shoulders in my breath. This was what we agreed on. "I understand," I mumbled.
"I can sense that you're angry." He grabbed onto the sides of my cheeks, lifting my head towards him. "Don't think you can read my mind," I exclaimed. I stood up from the couch we had been relaxing on—his body following my movements. "Y/n, you shouldn't take this personally. Duty comes first, especially in wartime," he said as he kissed my cheek before heading out of the door.
I stood in the same place I was left in once again. My heart felt heavy though I felt no tears run down my cheeks. It was a feeling I was already used to. What did I expect, an evening together? Yes, unfortunately, I did.
