I hate my dad. Well I don't hate him but he made me swim 300 sea miles to get a message to sea-king Apollo. My dad thinks it will get my mind of the blue tailed Percy Jackson, son of sea-king Poseidon. Apollo's sea palace is bright golden-yellow and whenever the sun shines on it, it starts to shimmer and almost blinds you. When you're near the castle you'll hear beautiful singing and other music.
I swim a little faster. My black tail is strong nut the currents are stronger than normal here. There's a big cave that kind of marks the border of my dad's, Hades, realm. Suddenly I see something yellow in the corner of my eye. I quickly swim up, closer to the surface. Rumour has it that there are dangerous jellyfish down here that can kill you with one sting. That's why they are called Gorgons. It's also the reason this is usually off limit terrain.
If I had a choice I wouldn't have swum this way, but the main route is blocked by a pack of sharks. That message came this morning. My dad now needs Apollo's help to drive them away.
Finally there is the palace. I can already hear the beautiful voices although I would never admit out loud that it is in fact gorgeous. It takes you on a journey of all your happy memories and makes you feel at home.
There it is again. I see it as I enter the palace.
'We announce the arrival of prince Nico, son of King Hades.'
The yellow shimmer wasn't a jellyfish, they don't come close to civilisation. I try to ignore it. I just check my to make sure I still have my dad's message.
When I enter the throne room, the first thing I see is the yellow shimmer, only it isn't a shimmer. It's a boy, with golden hair and a gorgeous tail in the same colour. He is tanned, even for a merman and has blue eyes like the sky. He is sitting on a small throne next to his dad.

'Nico, what brings you here?' Apollo's voice kind of shakes me out of trance.
'I come with a message from my dad.' I take the paper out of my bag hanging over my shoulder . Apollo snatches it out of my hands and reads it quickly. He sighs and says:' Nico, I think it's best if you stay here. I've got to speak with my advisors and it's getting late, so I won't send you back tonight. Will can you show Nico around a bit. And he'll have to sleep in your room, the guest rooms are being renovated.'
Will smiles a dazzling smile at me and beckons me to follow him. After a moment of hesitation I follow him.
Will starts talking as we swim down the corridor:' I saw you swimming over the caves at the border today. I started swimming back as soon as I saw you. How come you are later than me.'' Because my arrival had to be announced before I could enter and you obviously used a secret entrance as I saw.''
Will is quiet for a moment and then makes a sudden stop. ' This is my room. You can leave your stuff... wait never mind, you have nothing with you.' He awkwardly scratches the back of his neck and I can't help that it's super funny and I started to chuckle. It soon turns into a fit of laughter and Will's is infected with the laughter too.
His face becomes serious so quickly that I whirl around to look if we're being attacked.
'I want to show you something. It's not very far.'
I swim after him as he contentiously swimsupwards until I ask. A little anxious:' Will, we aren't supposed to come soclose to the surface. We can't be seen.' 'Listen, my dad met my mom on land andyour dad met your mom, Persephone, there as well.' 'Stepmom.' 'Whatever it isbelieved that there is a cave where you can see your significant others face.'
