《Show Me The Stars (Anakin x Reader)》Chapter 5

I was sitting on the balcony reading. I didn't want anyone to disturb me so I was crunched up in the corner of the balcony's wall. My legs were brought to my chest, making it hard to breathe. The night was warm. It was nothing like Naboo. There was no soft breeze, there wasn't soft crashing waves, or the light sound of crickets chirping. This air was filled with pollution, and the sounds were only of passing speeders. I didn't even know what I was reading. I wasn't paying attention. I was to busy thinking. I wonder when they will be back. I miss his blue eyes. Stop. He will never like me. There is no way to get past Padme's shadow. She will always be better than me...at everything. She will always be prettier, smarter, more clever. As she will always get the guy. No one notices me, so why would Anakin be different. I then heard footsteps come on the balcony. I looked up. It was Anakin. I then felt the wet tears that were streaming down my face.
"Are you okay? Are you hurt?" He asked with concern.
"No...no I'm fine." I said wiping my cheeks and putting the book in front of my face. He squated down in front of me and pushed the book out from in front of my face.
"(Y/n), no you're not fine. What's wrong?" He said sitting down next to me. I looked away, since he was inches from my face.
"You wouldn't understand." I stated sighing. He laughed.
"Try me. I am known to be very understanding." He said
"I guess... I guess I'm just homesick." I lied.
"Homesick? Really? (Y/n), what's really going on. You can trust me." He said looking into my eyes. His eyes were like a sea of hope and compassion, and I felt myself getting lost in them.

"I guess I'm just...I don't know." I couldn't describe the feeling.
"What? You're not happy?" He said jokingly.
"No. I'm not happy." I said with a stern look on my face. His eyes suddenly darkened and his smile diminished.
"Why aren't you happy?" He asked.
"I guess I'm just jealous..." I said.
"Jealous of what?" He said with a husky voice.
"...Padme" I said hesitantly. He grabbed my hand. It sent a hot feeling to my cheeks.
"You have no reason to be jealous of Padme." He said looking into my eyes. I felt myself get caught up in the moment. I instantly stood up and walked of the balcony's edge.
"Why not? Padme is beautiful, smart, and perfect. And people notice her." I said, looking at all the people passing by.
"So are you. You are beautiful and smart..." He started.
"But no one noticed me. No one gives me as much of a sideways glance. I might as well fall off the face of the earth and no one would care." I cut him off.
"I do." He said quietly.
"What?" I said turning to him.
"I do," he said standing up.
"I don't..." I started
"I notice you! Ever since I laid my eyes on you, you have no idea how hard it has been not to tell you how beautiful you are. Or how hard it is not to touch you. I hurts my very soul that you are not happy. I want you to be happy." He said, a lump in his throat. He walked to me and placed his hand on my cheek.
"I care about you, (y/n)," He said. I touched his hand which was placed on my face. He leaned in and I accepted. His lips touched mine so lightly that I shivered. His lips were soft, and they tasted like honey. His hands went around my waist and around my neck, and I felt the tingles go down my spine. He let go and backed up. I wished for so much more, I wished to feel like that longer. But I couldn't. I knew I never could. His eyes looked surprised, and he cleared his throat.

"Goodnight." He said leaving the balcony. I stood on the balcony, watching the spot he was standing. I could still taste his lips on mine.

Addorn: "The Freed of The Void"
Have you ever wondered why the Dwarves in games, movies, and comics, were so great at developing weapons or in some cases creating technology that was so far ahead of their time? Or even why they seemed ruthless and resilient, always somehow surviving even if it meant living underground to survive? And also why were they always in most cases described as greedy for gold or other luxuries? This is the story of the legendary race and the truth behind these stories that followed after this tale. The story begins with the Humans finding out the earth will be decimated, by a cataclysmic event that had happened millions of years ago, in 2 years time. Luster
Growing up with her recently deceased mother’s addiction and her own struggles with gender identity, June Fujiwara was not a nice person. Gaining powers from nearly being murdered didn’t change that, and neither did becoming a mercenary to fund her transition. It took horrific manipulation, the resulting trauma, and the family that helped her through it all. Luster is a derivative work based on Worm by Wildbow (John C. McCrae) that begins prior to Worm and although it doesn't show straight away, the story is very AU.

The Mentor
This one is for my daughter. She talked me into it (again) and it is her favorite genre of books. So, Bet, this one is for you. The true-bloods, the masters, they came first. That was hammered into Heath's head since he could walk with both words and fists by Karen. As a guardian and half-blood bastard of his vampire father, he would never know peace. His duty as a dhampir, his duty was clear, his fate sealed. Heath was to serve Gerald, an aging Vampire Lord, one who was of pure blood, born to the race, until Heath outlived his prime and then he would pass on the knowledge that was passed to him onto a new bastard to carry protecting the bloodline. But was it necessarily his fate? Could a sterile half breed such as himself, someone who did not exist in the human world, live anywhere in the world on the light? After a particularly nasty encounter with his Mentor, Heath is on the run. Set on not becoming the new guardian and knowing that decision has now marked him for death. The hunt is on and somewhere behind him is Joshua, the heir of his Master, and the thing that plagues his nightmare, his Mentor Karen.
