《Hey Pretty Stranger Sal Fisher x reader x Larry Johnson》Chapter 3 - Damien.

Later on my parents finally came into the apartment, I was confused on where they had been for so long but then I see them walking in with big cardboard boxes full of our stuff.
Guess the movers showed up already.
I walk over to them and help with putting the boxes where they needed to be based of what the label said.
I continued to put the bozes in there correct spot, and once I was done my mom walked up to me.
"You stay here and start setting your room up. Your father and I will go get the rest of the boxes."
She directed with a kind smile.
"Of course."
I reply.
I walk to my room and start opening the boxs I placed in here earlier. I open the first one that held more of my clothes and shoes.
I figured I should start off easy.
Once I finished putting my clothes away I open the next box which holds my jewelery box and some room decorations.
I contiue to put all my stuff where I wanted them to go and my father lifts in, with some of the mover guys; my dresser. Then my vanity and side tables. and lastly my bed frame and matress.
"Thank you!"
I smile at the movers, they give me a gentle smile in return and I go back to what I was doing.
Sure, I wasn't happy about moving but I love decorating an empty space. So it put me in a good mood doing something I love.
I move around where I want my bed and all my other furniture to stay, I set down my jewelery box on my vanity along with my makeup and other little things.
I put my dresses and shoes in my closet then my shirts, pants, and under garments in my dresser.
I walk out of my room to ask my mom where some bed sheets would be. It is getting late so I figured I should probably set up my bed before I get too tired.
"Hey mom, where are the bed sheets?"
"Oh! They are in the living closet in our room. You can go ahead and grab them."
My mom smiles at me whilst she places a vase full of flowers in the middle of our living rooms coffee table.

I turn around and descend back down the hallway once more, walking all the way to the second last room then struting into it.
(My room is the very last room).
I look around for the living closet and finally find it. I walk over to it and swing the door open.
I grab my plain pink bedsheets and walk back to my bedroom.
"Thanks mom!"
I shout out to her.
"No problem, sweet heart!"
She shouts back.
I begin to make my bed, the movers already did the hard part of putting the mattress on my bed so all I had to do is tuck the sheets on my bed and place my pillows and comforter ontop.
I also do have a couple stuffed animals to place on the bed aswell.
Once I was finally done, I sit on my bed and glance around my room. Looking at everything, to make sure it was all in place. I glance to my left and I have a big window that is installed there. It has a pair of white curtains to match the cream colored walls. Speaking of the walls, I have a couple posters of bands and shows/movies I love posted up on them.
Like: Nirvana, The beatles, Queen, all that good music. Sanity Falls has been a known one that Damien likes, but I'm not really into that hard rock, screamo music.
Rock? Yes.
Hard rock? No way.
I lay down in my bed with my room light still on, I'm not going to bed but I just need a little break before we have dinner. I need to relax, and take it all in.
I was enjoying the silence, key word 'was', but not before a loud strumming of a guitar intterupted it.
'Stupid neighbors.'
I groan loudly and walk out of my room, the further I got to the living room the less you could hear the guitar.
I think about going over there and telling them to be quiet, but I decide not to be a nagging nancy my first day here.
But if it goes on when I'm trying to sleep, then we're going to have some problems.
I glance around the living room and see that everything is set up the way it was in my old home, for the most part. Why did we even move. What was the point?

"Hey mom? why did we move?"
I finally decide to ask the auestion that's been nawing away at my brain for the past 10 hours.
My mom pokes her head around the kitchens doorway and looks at me.
"Come in here so we don't have to yell back and forth."
I walk into the kitchen to see my mom cooking dinner but I don't see dad.
"Where's dad?"
"Oh, he is talking with the movers outside."
Mom replies
"Oh...kay..? Anyway, so...why did we move here?"
I repeat.
"Well we mainly moved here because of your dads new job offer that he accepted, but we also thought maybe it would do us some good to have a change of scenery."
"Oh...but all my friends were back in toronto. I liked it there, I was happy."
"Sweet heart, I know this is hard for you but, you'll be happy here too."
"But all my friends-"
"You'll make new ones Y/N."
"I liked my old ones."
My stubbern self was not giving her the upper hand.
"Y/N. Don't argue, okay? I know you miss your friends, but you can always call them."
My mom turns to me grabbing my shoulders gently, she points to our telephone hanging on the wall behind me.
I sigh and my moms eyes sparkle as she thinks of an idea.
"Why don't you go call Damien, you can tell him all about your new home."
Mom explains.
"Okay..."
I walk away and grab the phone, punching in my friend Damien's home number.
It rings once...then twice...then a voice.
"Hello?"
It's a womans voice and I automatically know it's Damien's mom.
"Hello mrs. E! It's Y/N."
The 'E' is short for their last name 'Easton'.
"Oh Y/N! How have you been sweet pea?"
"Pretty good, I miss my home town but It's kinda nice here."
"That's great, I'm guessing you want to speak with Damien?"
"Yes, please."
"Okay, one second."
Damien has been my best friend since diapers. We are unseperable, and I've become very good friends with his parents too. So, this whole moving thing has been pretty hard on him and me.
He's super sweet, and has black curly hair, and dresses either formally or street style. His go to color is black, and he's into hard rock music. He looks and is pretty intimmidating if you don't know him or he doesn't know you. but once you do get to know him, he's actually a big softy.
"Y/N?"
Damien calls through the phone in an excited voice, I can already tell he's smiling.
"Hi Damien!"
I reply
"Y/N! It's so nice to hear your voice. Hows the new home?"
"Quite nice actually, but I miss you tons."
"I miss you too Y/N. Have you met anyone there yet?"
"Well I met this one janitor lady and she was super sweet, her name is Lisa if I remember correctly. But there is this guy that I kinda sorta met too."
"Do you like him?"
"What!? No! He's a complete and utter jerk! You know what he did!?"
"What did he do?"
Damien laughed.
"He bumped into me and told me to watch where I was going. Can you believe that! So obviously I called him out on it and called him a blueberry head-"
"Blueberry head?"
Damien laughed at my stupid retort from earlier.
"Yes, he has blue hair."
"Ahh, I see."
"Anyway, so then- let's just say he didn't really take to well to me calling him a blueberry head."
"Did he do something? Are you hurt?"
"No, I'm fine. Who would have thought an elevator would save my life."
Damien let out a sigh of relief.
Damien's always been protective of me, ever since we were old enough to talk.
"Good. How's you and your dad?"
Damien has also always known about my relationship with my dad, considering I tell him everything.
"Not to good still, he lashed out at me for no reason during the drive here.
"Tsk, I'm sorry Y/N...well, atleast you have your mom, and me."
Damien chuckles.
"Yeah..."
* "Damien it's time for dinner!" *
I hear his mom call out to him.
"Okay!"
he calls back.
"I got to go Y/N, but promise to call me at some point."
"I promise, bye Damien."
"Bye Y/N!"
Then the line dies. I hang the phone back up as my mom sets down dinner.
Almost perfectly timed my dad walks through the front door.
"Dinner honey!"
My mom calls to my dad.
We all walk to the dinner table and sit down, whilst I begin to eat my sadness away.
