"Oh, come on! Seriously?!" Caroline shouts as we were setting up mouse traps in a classroom. "Do you know how long it took for us to set all this up?!"

"Forgot about senior prank night, huh?" Tyler says and Matt nods.

"Clearly." Matt responds.

"How could you forget?" Caroline asks. "We've only been waiting for this since like freshman year."

"Yeah, matt. If I'm doing this, you're doing this." Elena says.

"I'm kind of surprised any of you are doing this, especially Ash." Matt says, which causes everyone to look at you.

"I'm fine, guys." I reply.

"It's okay not to be fine, todays is your moms birthday. And you've been in Chicago for a couple of days—"

"Tyler, other than the amount of anxiety I get has increased, and my grief which I can control, I'm doing fine. And Caroline's making us do this." I respond.

"We're about to be seniors— well, most of us are. These are the memories that stay with us forever, and if we don't—" Caroline gets interrupted by Elena.

"And if we don't create these memories now, then what's the point of it all?" Elena says.

"Go ahead and make fun, I don't care." Caroline says and Elena smiles.

"You're all lame. And I've got ten more classrooms to prank." Tyler says, walking out of the classroom.

"Hey! Where are you going?" Bonnie asks Elena.

"To superglue Alarics desk shut, Ash come." Elena says.

"Do I have to?" I ask. "I don't even want to be here, I'm not even a senior. I'm a sophomore." I mention.

"Yeah, a sophomore with the intelligence of a senior. Let's go." Elena says and I sigh, standing up and leaving the classroom.

"Are you sure you're okay?" Elena asks.

"I'm fine, I'm just a little sadder than usual. If my mom was still alive, I definitely wouldn't be here. I can grieve her without getting depressed now Elena, it's progress." I say and she smiles.

We keep walking and Elena sighs. I realized who we walked in to, it was Klaus.

"There's my girls." Klaus says.

"Klaus!" Elena shouts scared. Elena tries running away, which doesn't work.

"You're supposed to be dead. What are we going to do about that?" Klaus asks. He grabs Elena, then he grabs me, very tightly, too tight.

"You both our a rather large kink in my plans, sweethearts. The whole point of breaking the curse and becoming a hybrid was to make more hybrids. I haven't been able to do that. Now my bet is, it has something to do with the fact that you're still breathing." Klaus explains.

"I thought you already knew that?" I ask and Klaus smirks.

"I didn't know the whole story, love. And I go a question for you, how did you get back to Mystic Falls?" Klaus asks and I shrug my shoulders. "Now, I'm going to make Elena suffer and torture you."

We walk into the gymnasium where there are seniors setting up plastic cups on the floor.

"Attention, seniors. You have officially been busted. Prank night is over. Head on home." Klaus says then he sees Dana and Chad. "You two. I remember you."

"I'm sorry. Who are you?" Dana asks.

"Oh, don't worry, I wasn't in my right head last time we met. Lift your foot up, please, Dana." Klaus compels Dana. "If she drops her foot, Chad, I want you to beat her to death. Understood?"

"Don't, Klaus. You don't have to hurt anybody." Elena shouts at Klaus, but he completely ignores her and stares at me.

"I expected you to shout, why so quiet all of a sudden, hmm?" Klaus asks

"I'm not in the mood for all of your questions right now." I try to get him to let go of my arm, but he just grabs it tighter. "Let go of me!"

"Nah. You should be glad I'm not hurting you right now." Klaus replies and I just glare at him.

"I can take it." I say, which was really stupid.

"Oh, can you?" Klaus asks. "I know Gloria told you some things, so let's see if you can take it." Klaus says punching me in the stomach, which felt like he was using all his supernatural strength.

"Ash!" Elena shouts.

"You didn't have to hit me that hard!" I tell Klaus and he chuckles.

"That's the thing, love. I didn't. That's just how Huntresses feel pain. What you felt would be me using all my strength times 10." Klaus chucked and Elena helps me up.

"Ash your bleeding." Elena points out, from seeing blood on my shirt. I lift up my shirt, which makes Klaus raise his eyebrows, and there's blood everywhere over my stomach.

"Oh my god." I say, scared of bleeding out.

"What a shame. This is what you wanted, to see if you can handle being the huntress. Be careful what you wish for." Klaus says.

"Why did you do this?" Elena asks, scared for you seeing how much you were bleeding.

"She asked for it. Being a huntress isn't easy. Can drive you to suicide, let's hope it doesn't." Klaus says.

"And where's Stefan?" Elena asks. "What did you do to him?"

"Stefan's on a time out." Klaus says and the door opens, and it's Bonnie and Matt.

"Bonnie, get out of here!" Elena shouts and Klaus runs to Bonnie, making her jump. As they were talking I was whispering to Elena.

"I don't know what to do." I whisper

"Stop the bleeding. Here, wrap my sweatshirt round the wound." Elena takes off her sweatshirt and throws it to you."

"Why did I say that? I'm so stupid."

"You we're trying to stand up to him for everything he's done to you. It's ok, Ash. I don't blame you, you just didn't know it would cause him to act out." Elena explains and we focus on Klaus and Bonnie.

"I assume you're the reason Elena and Ash are still walking around alive?" Klaus asks.

"Well, someone else helped Ashley. But that's right. If you want to blame someone, blame me." Bonnie explains.

"Oh, there's no need for blame, love. Just your witchy interference seems to have cause some undesirable side effects. And since you caused the problem, I'm going to have you find the fix." Klaus says as Rebekah walks in grabbing Tyler.

"I'd like you all to meet my sister Rebekah. Word of warning— she can be quiet mean." Klaus warns us, but I already knew that.

"Don't be an ass" Rebekah says.

"Don't touch him!" I shout and Klaus grabs Tyler.

"I'm going to make this very simple— every time I attempt to turn a werewolf into a vampire hybrid, they die during the transition. It's quite horrible, actually." Klaus feeds Tyler his blood.

"I need you to find a way to save my hybrids, Bonnie. And for Tyler's sake... you better hurry." Klaus breaks Tyler's neck, temporarily killing him.

Elena gasps, then i gasps, which really hurt my stomach. I grab my stomach, which is still bleeding, but now slowly.

"What happened?" Rebekah asks me and I glare at Klaus.

"She said she can handle being the huntress, and I'm here to prove her wrong. You aren't looking too good right now Ashley." Klaus tells Rebekah.

It has been awhile. I was sitting on the floor, leaning against the wall. Elena's sweatshirt was full of blood, and my body was getting weaker. Stefan walks in, which doesn't really phase me. But I dial Damon's phone number, and he answers.

"Hey little Sommers, you're not hurt in Chicago, right?" Damon asks.

"Well, I'm in Mystic Falls and I am most definitely hurt." I say, you could tell by my voice I was in pain.

"Ashley, tell me exactly what's happening." Damon says seriously.

"Klaus found me and Elena, I was being tuff and saying I can take being a huntress, Klaus punch me in the stomach, which causes external bleeding which won't stop. I'm lightheaded and weak, I think I'm dying and I'm terrified."

"Ashley, listen to me. I'm on my way, I swear to you that you won't die, I promise you. Keep your eyes open, and don't you dare die on me. Listen to Klaus and Elena fight, but whatever you do, don't close your eyes." Damon says hanging up on me.

I look up from Elena screaming. Klaus hit her, which cause her to fall on the floor. Stefan went to attack Klaus.

"She means nothing to you?" Klaus asks, grabbing Stefan by the neck. "Your lies just keep piling up."

"Let her go!" Stefan shouts. "I'll do whatever you want, you have my word!"

"Your word doesn't mean much. I loved by your word all summer, during which time I never had to resort to this— stop fighting." Klaus starts to compel Stefan.

"Don't do this. Don't do this." Stefan says, knowing he's about to not have control of his actions.

"I didn't want to. All I wanted was your allegiance. Now I'm going to have to take it. You will do exactly as I say when I say it. You will not run, you will not hide, you will simply just obey." Klaus compels Stefan.

"Now kill them. Ripper." Klaus says pointing to Dana and Chad, and Stefan runs towards them and kill's them both.

Rebekah walks in as my eyes were about to close, which her entrance makes me aware and stand up. Rebekah looked pissed.

"Where is it?!" Rebekah asks. "Where's my necklace!" Rebekah shouts.

"What are you talking about?" Klaus asks.

"She has my necklace." Rebekah glares at Elena. "Look." Rebekah shows Klaus a picture of Stefan and Elena.

"Well, well. More lies." Klaus says.

"Where... is it?" Rebekah asks.

"I don't have it anymore." Elena says, which I know she's telling the truth.

"You're lying!" Rebekah shouts. Rebekah goes to but Elena's neck, but I use all of my energy to run and block Elena.

"Get away from her!" I shout and Klaus looks at you. He sees how weak you are right now, and that you'll do anything to protect your family.

Rebekah looks at you and bites your neck, and klaus pushes Rebekah off of you.

"Knock it off!" Klaus shouts.

"Make them tell me where it is, Nik!" Rebekah shouts back. Klaus bends down to Elena, and I now use Elena's sweatshirt to put pressure on my neck. I look at my stomach which the bleeding has lessened, but it was still bad.

"Where's the necklace, sweetheart? Be honest." Klaus asks Elena.

"I'm telling the truth. Katherine stole it." Elena says.

"Katerina. Of course. Well, that's unfortunate. If we had the necklace it would make things a whole lot easier for your witch, but since we're doing this the hard way, let's put a clock on it, shall we? 20 minutes. If Bonnie hasn't found a solution by then, I want you to feed. Only this time, I want you to feed on Elena. You know you want to." Klaus tells us.

"No, Klaus! Don't do this to him!" Elena shouts.

"No one leaves. If she tries to run, fracture her spine. Ashley, you're coming with me." Klaus says grabbing my arm and starts walking out of the gymnasium.

Klaus brought me outside while he and Rebekah went back inside. I have no idea what's going on inside of the school, but I heard noise from behind the trees.

"Ash?" I see Damon running up to me. "This is bad, Klaus punched you?" He asks and I nod. "Does this hurt?" Damon asks, putting pressure on my stomach where the wound is and i wince and flinch.

Damon feeds me vampire blood, which did absolutely nothing. "Why isn't it healing?" Damon asks.

"Part of the whole Huntress curse. My body doesn't like to heal. It hurts." I say. Damon goes to pick me up but Klaus pushes him.

"You aren't taking Ashley." Klaus says.

"Do you not see her?" Damon asks. "She's as pale as a ghost, she's lost a lot of blood, who wound isn't healing. She can't even keep her eyes open. You're killing her."

"She asked for it." Klaus says, which makes Damon go crazy.

"How can you not care, you're killing her!" Damon attacks Klaus, but fails.

"I care! She's not just a girl who Carries a cross bow around wanting to be a huntress. She is born into it. There are aspects you don't know. I didn't punch her that hard. A huntress body makes it 10 times worse than it is. Being the huntress is a curse. It's made for her to want to die. So yes, I punched her because she needs to be prepared for when she's in a mess. I thought maybe one of the huntresses shouldn't die by suicide." Klaus explains.

"I'm taking her. And I'm bringing her to the doctors since her wound isn't healing." Damon picks you up after also threatening that Mikael, the hunter who's a vampire is coming.

After Damon brings you to the hospital, he finds Elena, and brings her home. You wake up hooked up to a machine and you see Caroline.

"Ash, you're awake. A nurse told me a plastic surgeon stitched up your wound, but there was no way for it not to leave a huge scar on your stomach." Caroline explains and tears came down your face, you couldn't control it.

"Sorry, it's—"

"Ash, it's ok, it's okay to cry after all that happened to you tonight. Damon took Elena home, she's safe. I'm going to take you home after the doctors release you. The vampire blood kicked in, it just took time. Without it you would be dead." Caroline explains.

"Is Tyler—" I begin to ask but Caroline interrupts.

"He's alive. Apparently to make hybrids, Klaus needs Elena's blood, that's why she was in the hospital." Caroline explains and I nod.
