"So this place is all yours?" Bonnie asks me and Elena. "They just gave it to you?" Bonnie asks Elena.
"For now. As sole owner, I'm the only one who can invite a certain type of person in here, if you know what i mean." Elena says. Damon and Stefan both realized after Isobel died from compulsion, that we needed to be in a place where no vampire could enter.
"Your own personal safe house. Wouldn't want to clean it." Bonnie says which makes me laugh.
I was way calmer than yesterday. Isobel telling me all of that, honestly it was too much for me. Elena invites the brothers in and Elena grabs her bag.
"Wait, where are you going?" Stefan asks us.
"School." Elena responds.
"No, no, no. We didn't create a safe house for you 2 to leave it." Damon says.
"Do I have to go. I would rather play it safe by staying in here." I say.
"You already skipped enough days of school. And we will be safe next to Bonnie. We aren't being prisoners here." Elena explains.
"Your way, Elena." Damon says annoyed.
"Don't worry. I'm ready. If he shows his face, I can take him. I know how." Bonnie says and we head to school, sadly.
—
It was lunch period, which I have with Bonnie and Elena. I go to sit down and Jeremy leaves.
"What happened with him?" I ask Bonnie and Elena.
"I told him he had to dress up tonight and he got all uptight." Bonnie says which makes me and Elena laugh.
"Yeah, do I have to go to that tonight? I don't want to dress up." I mention.
"Ash, you can't just wear flare leggings and pink shirts everyday. It will be fun, it's a decade dance." Elena says and I agree with her, still not wanting to wear a dress.
"Hey, Ashley, there you are. Ok." Dana, a girl in Elena's grade comes up to us. "This is going to sound freaky, but this totally hot guy just asked me to ask you if you're going to the dance tonight."
"Tell him she's only a freshmen and tell him no" Bonnie says, which I agree with.
"You could at least meet him. He'll be at the dance tonight. Look for him. His name is Klaus." Dana says which makes me turn my heads towards her.
"I'm sorry, huh?" I wanted to be dreaming this, or I was delusional or something, but that definitely wasn't the case.
"His names Klaus.i know the names stupid, but I swear he's hot." Dana explains.
"Where is he?" Bonnie asks. "Is he here?"
"I don't know. But he wants to know if you'll save him the last dance." Dana asks.
"You can tell him I said hell no." I say and Dana walks away. "She was compelled. Oh god, he's here. He could be in the school right now spying on us."
"You want to go back to Stefan's?" Elena asks me and I instantly nod, not feeling safe at all.
—
"So we go to the dance, we find him." Damon suggests to all of us.
"Really?" Stefan responds. "How are we going to do that? We don't even know what he looks like."
"Something tells me he's not going to be 16 and pimply." Damon jokes but nobody laughs, especially not me.

"He could be anywhere at any time. He compelled somebody at school. I guess it's not as safe as you guys thought, huh?" Stefan says looking at me.
"I didn't want to go in the first place. He's after me. He's spying on me or something." I freak out.
"We'll figure something out, we always do." Elena assures me, but I'm still scared.
"Sorry I'm late." Alaric says, walking in.
"Hey, I need you to put me down as a chaperone at the dance tonight. Klaus made his first move." Damon says looking at me, causing Alaric to look towards me, weirdly.
"Ok, so we find him and then what, hmm? Remember we're dealing with a vengeful guy with anger issues." I say which causes Damon to chuckle a little.
"Me." Bonnie responds. "I'm the plan. He has no idea how much power I can channel. If you can find him, I can kill him."
"That's not going to be that easy. I mean, he is the biggest, baddest vampire around."
"Alaric has a point. I mean, what if he—" Damon stops and runs towards Bonnie, but she was able to push him across the room.
"Well, I was impressed." Stefan says.
"It doesn't matter if he's an original. I can take down anyone who comes at me. I can kill him, Ash. I know I can."
"We aren't going to let anything happen to you kiddo. And if anything you can protect yourself. I mean, you did dagger Elijah." Damon says and Alaric furrows his eyebrows and laughs.
"What's funny?" I ask, crossing my arms.
"You think you can protect yourself from an original? You're like 15." Alaric says, which was weird. He would never say anything like that, at least to my face.
"Yeah, I am 15. I'm stronger than you think I am, physically. So if you can—" I get interrupted by Alaric.
"Then show me." Alaric laughs again.
"Ok, I will show your stubborn ass—" I get interrupted by Stefan. I usually wouldn't act out like this, but under these circumstances, I would say it's predictable.
"Ashley. Look, either way you need us Ashley. You 2 need to stop bickering. It's just unnecessary."
—
I put on a random 60's dress Damon had in his closet, with my hair up in a mid-pony tail and my classic white converse.
We get to the dance at the high-school and we head inside. "We have a special shout out tonight." We hear Dana say. "This is for Ashley. From Klaus." Dana says and music starts playing.
"That was a lame, cheap shot. He's just trying to bait us." Damon says after the song is over
"I know everyone here." Elena says, scanning the room.
"Maybe he's not here. He just wants us to believe that he is." Stefan says.
"Or, he is here and is planning to kill me. I have to leave. It's not safe." I try to leave but Damon stops me.
"He's not planning to kill you little Sommers, you're in the ritual. If he is here, he wants you to get scared, he wants to see you vulnerable to see if you can handle being a huntress, right? So breathe, and Get back to being strong." Damon tells me then walks over to Ric and Bonnie and Jeremy go to dance.
"Come on, dance." Stefan tells me, while dancing with Elena. "It's your turn, it's your first decade dance. Come on." Stefan says and I start dancing with him.

"I'll find Bonnie." Elena says smiling.
"You're a pain in my ass you know that?" I tell Stefan and he laughs. "Caroline's here." I mention.
"I'm m on it." Stefan says and walks away.
"Kiddo. How you doing?" Damon asks and I put my hands on my hips.
"What do you think?" I ask and he nods. "That's what I thought. Hey, quick question. Can you use your huntress abilities to see is Klaus is in the school?" Damon asks.
I focus on the people that are in the school and I get a feeling. "He's in here closely, that's all I got. I just can't figure out where." I say. "I hate this so much. I'm pulling the I'm 15 cars and the fact an 1,000 yr old vampire is spying on me right now is making me very freaked out. How are you doing?" I asks.
"Cool as a cucumber. You can play that card anytime you want. You're a badass huntress who has to deal with all these aspects and information. At 15. Look, I gotta talk to Bonnie, you need to be by someone." Damon says
"I'll be fine here." I reply.
"No. You need to be with someone." Damon gets overprotective. "If you forgot Klaus is after you tonight, not Elena. Go talk to Alaric." Damon says walking away and i walk toward Alaric.
"Sorry about before. Me acting out was just built up stress I needed to get out. I hate admitting i was wrong but I shouldn't of took it out on you." I tell Alaric.
"Stress from what?" He asks.
"From this whole Klaus thing.with all the information I know if I go down a certain road it will lead to a traumatizing death either way. Everyone expects me to be able to be tuff and strong, but I'm only 15. I can't do this." I explain.
"I think you still don't know what you're capable of." Alaric says walking away.
When I walked away I realized Alaric should have known why I was stressed out lately. I knew that wasn't Alaric I was talking to.
It was Klaus.
—
I start running but Caroline stops me. She was with Matt on the dance floor.
"Hey, is everything ok?" Caroline asks.
"Yeah, do you know where Elena, or Bonnie went?" I ask.
"I'm pretty sure they are outside. Want me to come with you?" Caroline asks and I shake my head.
"Thank you Care. I got to go, see you later!" I say running outside in which I don't see anyone. I walk through a door that leads to another hallway of the school and start running.
I run through a hallway. Don't see them. I ran through another hallway and I saw Bonnie and Elena talking to Alaric/Klaus.
"Stop! That's not Alaric!" I shout running towards them.
"What are you talking about?" Elena asks.
"Well it's Alaric, but it's not him. It's Klaus." I say.
"Surprise!" Klaus/Alaric instantly says. "Relax, Elena. I'm not here to hurt you. You're not on my hit list tonight. But you guys are, and you are on my list twice." Alaric/Klaus looks at me.
Alaric/Klaus charges at me and Bonnie but Bonnie was able to throw him against the wall.
"Now, did I mention that I know a witch?" Klaus/Alaric asks. "You're gonna have to hit me a lot harder than that." Klaus/Alaric gets thrown into another wall.
"Go. Run, Run!" Bonnie shouts and we all run and we bump into Damon.
"What happened?" Damon asks.
"Ash found out Klaus is in Alaric's body." Elena explains.
"What?" Damon is shocked, I mean I was when I found out too.
"He's possessing it or something." Bonnie says.
"Go find Stefan. Now." Damon tells Elena in which she hurries. "You too kiddo."
"Damon." Bonnie says.
"What, you want Ashley in the middle of this? She's terrified." Damon says, which he is right.
"Klaus isn't just after me tonight." Bonnie says which makes Damon look at me.
"He doesn't want to kill me tonight, but he does want to kill Bonnie." I explain.
"Can you kill Him?" Damon asks Bonnie.
"He's got some kind of protection spell on him." Bonnie says scared.
"You have the power of a hundred witches. Break it." Damon says.
"I'm trying!" Bonnie shouts. "If i kill Alaric, he'll just possess someone else. He knows I have my power, Damon. He's trying to kill me." Bonnie says.
"Klaus has a protection spell on him, so put one on you. If he tries to kill you, we just have to fake the part and you live." I say and they all nod.
"Bonnie, you do the spell. Ash, go to Alarics and grab a big cross bow. You know how to use one."
"Barely, I can't do this—"
"Yes, you can Ash. I'm not letting you play the I'm 15 card right now because all Klaus sees is that you're the huntress. He wants to see you crash, he won't kill you, but he will hurt you until you are at the point of dying. You're going to do whatever it takes to protect yourself because that's what you're capable of doing." Damon says and I nod, running to Alarics classroom, but then I pass the cafeteria, where I see Alaric/Klaus.
He was holding a knife, while I had nothing. "So this is how this is going to go. While we wait for Bonnie, I won't kill you, I will fight you for reason we both know."
"To torture me?" I tell him the answer. He walks up to me with the knife. "This isn't fair."
"Yeah, you're right." Klaus/Alaric says trying to stab me, but I grab his arm and take the knife out of his hands. I try and fight him, but it was so easy for him to just push me to the ground. He is strong, he pushed me to the ground and my head banged on the floor as hard as it can.
"Ash, leave!" Bonnie shouts and she throws Klaus/Alaric to the floor. I run out and see 3 blurry people.
"Ashley!" I hear a muffled voice say
"Kiddo, hey are you ok? You're bleeding." Damon says, which was also muffled but my legs just gave up and i fall, but Damon catches me.
"Looks like Klaus made her hit her head or something." Damon says.
"You're the one who let her in there?!" Elena shouts.
"She fought back. She did what she could and klaus knows she's not some weak teenager who lets people push her around. She could've got stabbed, but she didn't. The worse didn't happen to her." Damon says carrying you back to the boarding house.
