"I can't believe someone took my stuff." Elena tells me as we were coming home from the founders day. Elena had to wear a classical dress and her stuff for afterwards.

"Are you sure you looked everywhere?" I ask.

"Yeah, I looked everywhere. Somebody definitely stole it. Someone took my stuff." Elena replies before opening the door.

We walk in and Elena calls Jeremy's name. No response. All of a sudden we hear clattering, and someone groaning in pain. We walk and see Uncle John, which is Elena's biological dad on the floor covered in blood.

"Ash call 911." Elena tells me and she grabs a towel to cover John's wound. I grab the phone, dialing 911 as fast as I can.

"Hi, I need an ambulance to 2104 maple street." I say, panicking.

"Behind you." John tells me and I look behind me, but nobody was there. Elena also looked and saw nothing, but heard footsteps. Elena grabbed a knife to protect herself while I tried to stop John from bleeding out.

The ambulance finally arrived putting John on a gurney. I called Stefan to come which he came as fast as he could. The police wouldn't let him in at first.

"He can come in." Elena says and the police let Stefan in and we walk up the stairs to Jeremy's room.

"What happened?" Stefan asks Elena.

"He said that Anna gave him her blood, and the. He took these pills. And now, I mean, he looks fine, but then again so do you. So I just— I don't know."

"Come here, look at me." Stefan goes to check if Jeremy's not a vampire.

"No, I'm fine, ok? I feel exactly the same." Jeremy says annoyed.

"Should I call a paramedic up here?" Elena asks. "What should I do?"

"No. He's fine." Stefan tells me and Elena, which we both sigh in relief.

"So you mean I'm not a vampire?" Jeremy asks. "Damn it."

"Don't say that. Jeremy, why would you want that?" I ask.

"Did you hear about Anna, what happened to her tonight? She's dead. And you're younger than me, you can't tell me what I want." Jeremy scoffs and I sigh.

"Jeremy, Jeremy, come here, sit down. I am very sorry about Anna. But it's very important that you listen to me right now. With every passing moment, Anna's blood is leaving your system. If you tried to kill yourself right now, you could really die." Stefan raises his voice to Jeremy which got Elena a little annoyed.

"Ms. Gilbert?" A police knocks on the door, which Elena has to fill out stuff for what happened and also Caroline is in the hospital from Tyler crashing.

"We have to go, Elena." I say.

"I know, but—" Elena says but Stefan interrupts her.

"No, no. I'll stay here with Jeremy. Both of you go to the hospital." Stefan says and we leave Jeremy's room.

"Bonnie, how's Caroline?" I ask and she looks down.

"She's weak. They don't know if she's going to make it. Where's Elena?" Bonnie asks as Elena quickly walks up to us, hearing what Bonnie just said.

"Oh my god." Elena says in shock. We all need Caroline in our life. Bonnie hugs both of us, since we're both still in shock. "Is there something you can do?" Elena asks. "Like a spell or something?"

"She doesn't know how." Damon walks over to us pissed that Bonnie lied about spelling a gadget that can kill vampires. "Do you?" Damon asks, already knowing the answer.

"No. I don't." Bonnie truthfully responds.

"No, you don't. Because it took Emily years to learn a spell like that."

"Oh, well, I can take down a vampire. That spell was easy to learn." Bonnie replies to Damon.

"I can give Caroline some blood." Damon tells me and Elena which Elena shakes her head instantly.

"No. No way." Elena replies.

"No, no, no. Just enough to heal her. She'll be safe in the hospital, and it'll be out of her system in a day. She'll be better, Elena." Damon explains.

"It's risky, but I agree with Damon." I say.

"Do it. This is Caroline. Ok? We can't let her die. Do it." Bonnie tells Damon.

"If I do this, you and me, call a truce." Damon says and Bonnie instantly disagrees.

"No. But you'll do it anyway. For Elena." Bonnie says which makes Elena furrow her eyebrows, but I knew exactly what she meant. Bonnie nods and walks away.

"Uh— all right, I know this is probably the last thing you want to do right now, but we should talk about what happened tonight." Damon mumbles to Elena, which made me pay attention to their conversation.

"Yeah, one of the tomb vampires got into the house and almost killed John." Elena says.

"What? What— when?" Damon's clueless of what happened. "What are you talking about, after I left?"

"You were there?" Elena asks confused. Damon was never at the house.

"Come on, Elena, you know I was. Earlier. On the porch. We were talking, all cathartic, feelings exposed. Come on, we kissed, Elena."

"Ok... you're either delusional or you're on something because you were never there. Me and Elena went home after someone stole her stuff and walked into John almost dead." I explain and he furrows his eyebrows.

"Ashley! I came as soon as I got your message. How is John?" Jenna, my mom asks me.

"Where have you been?" I ask.

"At the fire department. I had to fill out a report. I told Elena earlier."

"No, you didn't." Elena says.

"Yes, I did." Jenna confirms, but that never happened.

"No, Jenna, you didn't." Elena says, and they keep going back and forth.

"Mom, I've been with Elena the whole day, you never called her or told her you had to go to the fire department." I say which makes Damon interrupt us.

"Ohh. Mmm, you gotta be kidding me." Damon thinks out loud, which has us 3 staring at him. "Little Sommers, stay here." Damon says walking off immediately.

Elena went home last night while my mom stayed with John and I went back and forth between John and Caroline, more worried about Caroline.

"Want coffee?" I ask Matt, who stayed the whole night with me.

"Yeah, thanks. Where did the sheriff go?" Matt asks me. He fell asleep for like an hour.

"She got a duty call. She'll be back in like an hour. Bonnie's on her way so when Caroline wakes up she'll be h—"

"I'm here. Where's Caroline?" Bonnie asks.

"She should be waking up soon." I smile heading to Caroline's room, which she was already up.

"Jersey Shore is on." Caroline smiles which makes me and Bonnie happy. Bonnie goes to hug Caroline, grateful she's alive.

"Ooh, careful! I'm still a little sore. But, they say I'm healing really quick." Caroline says which we already knew since Damon gave her his blood.

"So Katherine was at the house?" Bonnie asks me. Me and Bonnie headed to the Lockwood mansion to pay respect to Tyler's dad, who died because of the Gilbert device.

"That's what Elena told me. Never thought she would come back. Kind of weird not gonna lie."

"So you aren't scared?" Bonnie asks.

"Eh, not really. Well, I won't be scared if she doesn't want to kill me." I reply which makes Bonnie laugh.

"I'll be right back." Bonnie says eying Damon, she's probably going to talk some sense into her. I find Stefan standing by himself.

"You look like a loner." I say and he laughs. "So ex-lover is back."

"You should be worried. She was in the house when you were and she would've killed you." Stefan says.

"But she didn't." I reply.

"Exactly. She needs you for something. I just wish I knew w—" Stefan gets interrupted by doors opening and We see Bonnie and Katherine. She's a copy and paste of Elena, it's so weird.

"She said copy and paste."

"Katherine. Leave her alone." Stefan tells Katherine and she lets go of Bonnie, which causes me to let out a big sigh.

She walks over to me and Stefan, and she stops and looks at me. I furrowed my eyebrows, confused. After seconds pass by she smirks and walks away, and Stefan follows.

"What the fuck. Are you ok, Bonnie?" I ask and she nods.

"I'm all good. Now are you scared?" Bonnie ask and I instantly nod.

"Definitely. First off, she looks exactly like Elena, copy and paste. And 2, she looked at me like she's planning on killing me in the future so if Stefan doesn't find out why that happened, I'm screwed." I say.

"You aren't screwed, you're just scared, let's sit down for a second." Bonnie says.

"I need to find Elena. I know she's here, I'll be right back." I say running off. I found Elena talking to Damon.

"Elena!" I slightly shout. Damon and Elena could tell I was scared.

"What happened Ash?" Elena asks.

"Katherine."

"Did she hurt you? Are you hurt?" Damon keeps asking, being overprotective.

"No, she was going to hurt Bonnie but didn't, but she did walk up to me and smirk, and now I'm scared she wants to kill me." I rant and rant on everything that happened.

"She isn't going to kill you kiddo. Katherine is Katherine."

"Damon you're scaring me. What does that mean?" I ask Damon.

"It means Katherine doesn't do things for no reason. If she wanted you dead you would be long gone by now. But, you are still here, so she obviously needs you alive."

"Are you gonna be ok?" Elena asks Stefan who got stabbed from Katherine.

"Yeah. It'll heal." Stefan says, knowing that's not what Elena meant. "I was trying to figure her out. I was playing along, I let her get to me."

"We tried to track her, but she's gone. Ooh, cover up, Fabio. We got a crazy ex on the loose and a child right next to us." Damon says looking at me.

"I'm 15 and I'm the most mature 15 year old anyone has seen. Stop acting like I'm 12." I say and Damon playfully rolls his eyes. Then he mentions when he thought he was kissing Elena, which I felt the anger from Stefan.

"I'm gonna go check on Jenna and Jeremy. Ash you coming?" Elena asks and I instantly nod.

"Yup. Not dealing with brother drama over here." I say which makes Elena laugh.

It has been hours, i was eating leftovers but then I hear screaming. I run upstairs to Jeremy's room, nobody was in there. Then I went to Elena's room and saw tears coming down her face, and Jeremy laying there.

"It's ok. He has the Gilbert ring on. He's going to be ok." Elena repeats herself.

"What happened?"

"Damon snapped his neck." Elena says.

"He killed him?! He has the ring on, right?" I ask, sitting down next to her looking for the ring.

"Ash, he'll wake up, I promise you." Elena says, leaning on my shoulder. "How did life get so complicated." Elena asks me.

"I don't know."
