I was standing over a balcony as I let my hand go over my helmet, I looked into the visor and noticed the wear on it, the paint was fading and there was claw marks on it. I rested the helmet on the ledge as I overlook the snow fields below me.

I let out a sigh of contentment as I heard someone come behind me, I put on my helmet as I turned around and saluted, but I broke the solute when I noticed who it was,

"Velvet, I didn't expect to see you until during or after the ceremony, I was expecting the General" I said in surprise, but she went up to me and slowly took off my helmet and took my face in her hand, I nuzzled into it and I heard her laugh softly.

"Well the General was looking for you, we are waiting on you before we the ceremony starts, Professor Sarah"I move her hand away and laugh at her emphasis on the 'professor'.

"Believe me, it's strange that I'm being called Professor, not even Ozpin was that lenient with me, granted, the General couldn't refuse the offer that i gave him." I turn around and look at the Atlas Academy below me, i could see recruits for the army running around, and several people rushing to get the final preparations ready for the ceremony.

"It's hard for me to think that I'd be in Atlas one day, the Faunus always struggled here, and i was too scared that i would be discriminated if i ever came here by myself" I saw that Velvet's ears started to droop, and i went up to her and i hugged her as i whispered into her ear,

"That's why you aren't alone, you have me, and besides, you outrank 90% of the people here technically speaking, only your fellow students, the teachers, and ironwood have more Seniority then you" A small smile developed on her face and i couldn't help but feel my heart jump inside of me.

After awhile we both give each other a light kiss, and before we could continue on i heard someone make an obvious cough, we both turned around to see the General with an awkward look, "Professor Sarah, Miss Scarlatina, while i am aware of your two relationship status, i do recommend keeping it hidden from your fellow students." I lightly laugh as i break away from Velvet and gave a crisp salute to Ironwood,

"Yes Sir." He had a smile on his face and said, "at ease" we all relaxed and he came up to me personally.

"Sarah, i can't help but thank you for your contributions to us, i was surprised that you were so willing to work with us, but under the circumstances, i guess it would makes sense for you to work with us." I nodded, and i looked towards Velvet who smiled at me,

"Well General, under normal circumstances i would never give you the time of day, but with the fall of Beacon, and with no outside help from the outer worlds, that left me with one option, to defend the planet that I've come to call home and all to protect those that i care about" I move my hands towards Velvet's, and the General gave a polite nod towards me.

"Well i won't disturb you two too much, but please, we need to start the ceremony, your new students are starting to grow, restless." I rolled my eyes as i put on my helmet and started walking with the General.

"Well if they think they have a lot of energy I'm going to show these students what it means to be a Pilot!" While they couldn't see my face, i was excited, for the future to come.

After awhile of walking through the hallways we head to the back stage to the podium, i could hear the crowd of students gathered, so far we had 115 students who we deemed worthy of this new project. Students from all across the land, Vale, Atlas, Vacuo, and Mistral, whether they be a Faunus, humans, rich, and poor. Everyone here was at a central starting point, and i would make them the best.

I turn to my right, and i see Velvet being nervous thinking of being in front of an entire crown, but i lightly tap her on her shoulder, and just starting talking about the new suit she had on, "I hope the suit fits you well, the engineers can be a bit, stiff when it comes to this kind of stuff." She just nodded to me, but i did notice that she was a little bit less nervous.

I turn to my left and i could see the General was fixing his tie for the 6th time, i couldn't help but giggle a bit at this, "The Legendary General Ironwood, getting stopped by his own tie," Ironwood narrowed his eyes at me, but he let them softened and he finally got his tie together.

"It's hard to not be nervous, and it's my hope that this day will pave the future for Remnant, and hopefully one day this day will outshine the darkness that happened with the fall of Beacon." I couldn't help but admire the optimism the General held with this day. But for what we already had planned, i could see why.

"Well General, Velvet, the future won't wait for us, so let's not keep the students waiting any longer, i say we addressed them all." I said to the two, and we all walk onto the podium, as soon as we did this all the students stiffened, as some saluted, and some looked scared to death. But i couldn't blame them for the mix of emotions, this was a big part of all of there lives and i would be confuse on how to respond as well.

Eventually the General got to the microphone and he started his small speech that he prepared, "We have invited you all here because you have proven yourself to be not only the best, but the most driven, not just in your schools, but in our entire world. The world had taken on a great loss with the fall of Beacon, but we will learn to adapt and survive one again. We will rebuild, and with the help of modern science we have created this program to train and gear the future generation with the tools to defend and retake our world. It is up to you, the students if you are willing to give your hearts to your world." The General took a step back everyone started to clap, I took this as my Que to walk up to the microphone.

I walked up to the microphone and I took a second as I looked at all of my students, I didn't say anything for awhile, and they started to get confused and some looked scared of me, i smiled to myself as I started what I had to say "I see before me the future of Remnant, but I'm sure since that you are here you know that already. What you don't know already is that i will be your instructor, alongside your Junior instructor Velvet Scarlatina," I gestured towards Velvet and she started to fidget a bit and took a small step forward and did a polite bow.

I turn back towards the student, "You will come to learn that it will be harsh the training, some days you will feel like giving in to the pressure, and to give up, but I'm only going to say it once, you have been picked for this project, Code name Project Pilot. And that is what i intend to do to everyone here, to turn you into Pilots to defend our world, any questions before we begin?" I scanned around the room, and everyone just kept quiet, but one nervous Faunus kid raised their hand, i pointed at them and they responded.

"You say your going to turn us into these, Pilots, but what makes them so special compared to a hunter?" I grinned under my helmet as i pulled out my scroll and started to pull out a video.

"Lilith, mind putting these up on the screen behind me?" I whispered into my helmet and my scroll went black as Lilith transferred the data, and the video i had saved was paused on the screen behind me.

"Sarah, the video is ready to play when you are." I nodded to myself as i hit the play button,

"There is one key difference between a Pilot, and a Hunter, and it's the bond between man and machine." The room started to dim as the video started to play, it was the introduction videos for all of the different variants of Titans that Hammond Industries gave to people to sell their titans, back before when i was still fighting on the Frontier. I sigh remembering the old days, but these videos served their purpose, the kids were all excited at the concept of Titans.

When the video ended i went up to the microphone again, "I assume you all have questions, but it is my hope that all of you will live up to the standards we have set, so you can become a pilot to one of these great machine. Your training will start immediately, you will all put your bags away, and change into your temporary pilot suits, and meet back in hanger 2, there we will do your first set of training exorcises to determine your placements." I didn't wait for anybody else to speak or ask questions as the three of us headed off the podium and headed towards the hanger.

"Professor Sarah, i didn't realize your plan was to show what we had in store for our students, you never know if one of them are spies." I looked towards the General and i shrugged my shoulders in response.

"I'm not concerned about showing off a video of these titans, the time it would take them to understand how to build just one of the models would take weeks, I'm not scared of our enemies sending in spies. I'm more concerned if the students can survive the training." The General let out a heavy breathe as he rubbed the bridge between his nose and looked at me,

"To think just learning how to use your jump kit took you months to learn, you use it so naturally, i do worry about our students, it will take time for them to learn everything in your curriculum." I just waved him off as i turned into the hanger,

"That may be so, but it's called Project Pilot for a reason, not mass producing toy soldiers General, this will take time, but we will give them the tools to give us more time as we take back Remnant from the Grimm." I emphasized this by pointing out to the walls of Titans we had already build, Scorch, Ronin, Northstar, Ion, every model of titans, except Monarch was here. While they weren't up to the same quality as what is on the frontier, they are superior to Paladins in every way.

"If you say so, Professor, I'll trust you on this, these are your students after all and i will continue to place my trust into you," we continue to walked through until we reached another hanger, i opened the door to it and i noticed several pods, and there in the center of the hanger is Lilith standing over the pods.

"After all, i met my end of the deal, and it's time for you to meet yours." I smiled at the General as i went to hop into Lilith,

"That is very true sir, you gave me back Lilith, so I'll give you back warriors of the future, but remember if you ever betray me, or Velvet, i will make sure regret it." I closed the hatch as i waved Velvet forward,

"Come on Velvet, let's get some training in for you, if your going to be my Junior instructor you need to know more then new students." I said through Lilith's speaker,

"And how are we going to do that Sarah?" I smile grew on my face as i opened the door to one of the several pods,

"We are going to play a little match on a simulation, called War Games" I watched as she hopped in, and i saw on my screen that Velvet was soon connected into the simulation.

"Alright Lilith, put me into the simulation alongside Velvet." I saw as the world around me started to turn into pixels as i loaded into the simulation.

"It's good to have you back Sarah." I couldn't help but smile,

"It's good to be back Lilith." As i said this a bright light took over my vision and when i opened them i saw Velvet next to me looking around the area.

"Come on Velvet, We have a job to do."

A/N - sigh, i don't know what to say, this story was meant to be a quick story to publish, but this took me over half a year to fully release, i don't regret spending so much time on this, it's been a journey to write for all of you, this has been one of the most supportive group of readers I've ever had and i can't thank you all enough. It's always weird for me to be ending a story, but now it's time for me to start making plans for the future, so far because the way school is for me, I've got AP tests and finals coming soon, so I'm going to focus on school for the next few weeks, and then I'll start resuming my next story. That's right, i said resuming, with the first chapter of it already up, which is a Violet Evergarden story, While i love the early volumes of RWBY very much, Violet Evergarden is one of my favorite anime ever, and i just wanted to write a quick story on it, my hopes is to finish it in a few weeks so that i can transition into the next RWBY story i want to write, which is a code vein and rwby cross over, so far i already have most of those chapters pre-written all the way to volume 2, which is something I've never done before. And after that i want to write my own original stories, but we will worry about that when we get there. Sigh, i can't thank you all enough, this has been so much fun, and i still can't believe it over, but it's time for me to start working on my next stories to come, i hope will stay with me as i continue to write and grow as a writer and person, i love you all, and i hope that I'll see you in the next story, weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee*slides out of chair*
