You finished dusting the mantle over the fireplace as you awaited your boyfriends arrival. He was due home any minute and you couldn't wait to see him. You had been dating Peter Lawford and things were going well. You two lived together and never seemed to be sick of each other.
You turned around when you heard the door unlock and in walked your handsome boyfriend. He sighed as he took off his shoes and walked to hang up his coat. When he closed the hall closet door he picked you up and swung you around.
"Oh my darling," he sighed as he planted a kiss on your lips.
"How was it today?" You ran your hand through his hair. He smiled but seemed awfully tired.
"It was busy, they had me singin' and dancin', my feet are killing me." He chuckled. He put you down and sat down on the couch. You sat next to him.
"You poor baby," you kissed his cheek. He wrapped an arm around your shoulder and brought you in close. You could feel him begin to take deep breaths, relaxing himself after a busy day of work.
"I couldn't be happier to be home with you, let's just lay here for a bit." and that you did.
