《KristSingto : SOTUS days❤️》Chapter 8 - Bingsu : Part 1

A month flew by.
Between university and workshop, it was a never-ending cycle. Not that I was complaining, honestly. This was my dream afterall. Adding to that, the fact that I'm on very good terms with P'Sing now, it's definitely worth the pains. Just that...if these Professors could reduce the number of assignments per week, at least by half...
P'Sing usually finishes his lectures at 2p.m. everyday. But since mine goes on till around 4, he'd waits in the canteen each day till I'm done, and walk to the workshop together. This was a non-verbal agreement of ours, one that we both happily followed along.
The workshop, to tell in short, was a 'refreshing experience'. So far, it was solely focused on getting me and P'Sing more comfortable around each other. So basically, we spend our days from dusk till dawn, staring into each other's eyes continuously or hugging each other.
And, well...
THAT'S A WHOLE NEW LEVEL OF EMBARRASSMENT FOR GOODNESS'SAKE!!!
These days, I very well cannot meet his eyes by the end of the day, since all of what the workshop made us do would start fogging my brain.
Right now, with all these thoughts clouding my mind with utter embarrassment, I groaned and clutched my head with both hands.
"Oi Krist! Watch where you're going!"
A few giggles and high-pitched laughs followed the shouting.
I looked up from my internal dilemma, to see that I've already walked around half a mile from the lecture hall, and was currently standing in the middle of the football court.
"Sorry!", I waved my hand and shouted back while running back towards the walkway, smoothly avoiding a ball passing by me.
It was nearly the time that I was supposed to meet P'Sing, so I rushed towards the canteen while bracing my heart and mind.
As I walked closer to the canteen, I could see quite a large crowd of freshmen gathered in the middle of the canteen, around P'Sing. It seemed that they've just been dismissed after a meeting, since everyone of them, collectively heaved a huge sigh and started moving out of the place as fast as they could.
While slowly approaching the crowd, I could clearly see the hazer friends of P'Sing around him, whom I was already pretty familiar with. Rushing towards the group, with a hand raised, I shouted.
"P'Frank!"
P'Frank's exhilarated gaze met mine.
"Oh! Singto's wifey is here!"
I felt my face freeze.
The whole canteen literally dropped dead, and was suddenly engulfed in complete silence.

With my hand still raised and feet rooted to the spot, I took the chance to take a glance at P'Sing.
P'Sing's penetrating gaze was already fixed on me. As soon as our eyes locked on each other's, his eyebrows shot up and his eyelids fluttered a moment like a hummingbird, and then, while tearing his gaze away from mine, he jabbed Frank who was next to him with a soft, "Cut it..."
I slowly took my hand down and looked around the canteen.
All were avoiding my eye contact and were glued to their spots, stuck in the middle of stuffing books inside their bags.
None of the freshmen were laughing, OBVIOUSLY, since I'm their hazer. However, I could clearly see tears glistening in their eyes, and their cheeks puffed-up and red, looking like too-ripe tomatoes ready too burst. Some had their eyebrows dancing.
The freshman nearest to me, accidentally looked up and unwittingly met my gaze. I clenched my teeth and growled at him with a fisted hand.
"Watchu looking at?!"
I was angry beyond words at the moment that the poor soul had to just, bear with me taking it out on him...
In the next second, P'Sing's voice rang loud and clear throughout the canteen.
"If y'all are so unwilling to leave, I've got more duties here without any volunteers!!!"
And the next moment was like a stampede. Within seconds, the canteen was emptied.
I slowly made my way towards the seniors, intentionally wearing my very sour mood on my face.
The "Husband-and-Wife" joke had already spread like wildfire among the second and third years during the last month, that my reputation had remained intact, until now, only among the freshmen.
Seems like, I'm doomed to be the laughingstock of the whole faculty this lifetime.
"Hubby and Wifey out on a date-night again?", that was P'Drake, rubbing extra salt onto my bleeding wound...
"Shut up~", P'Sing cried out, exasperated. "This is taking the joke too far"
"Joke? What was the joke here again?"
"You two being PhiNong?"
"Haha"
"On. Point!"
"Hahahaha!!!"
"That moment I said enough, was my limit...", P'Sing said in a low warning tone.
"C'mon dude. Don't tell me you think how you two behave together is how normal bros behave?"
There were exaggerated inhales all around.
"Like, honestly?! That's how you think?!"
"What's wrong with you?!", P'Sing shouted while facing Mark, eyes throwing daggers at the said person.
I was annoyed beyond words, looking at the way how the whole crowd ganged up on teasing us. There wasn't a hint of doubt that this would end in a bloodbath unless one party stepped back.

I swiftly walked upto P'Sing and wound my hand on his arm.
"Hmph! Ignore them Phi! Let's go!"
I pushed a chair that stood in the way and dragged P'Sing out from the canteen.
"Oooohhh~"
"Happy wife, happy life Singto!"
"Sassy wife, happy Singto!"
"Ohmygad hahaha~"
"Couple goalssssss!"
"Hahaha!"
Hoots, whistles and barbs flew over our heads while we dashed out of the university gates, ignoring all the questioning glances and giggles that were directed at us on the way.
Once we reached the gate, both of us were out of breath.
"Sorry about that. My friends-"
As soon as we were out, I realized that our conversation won't stray much further from the earlier mortifying situation, that I quickly cut P'Sing before he could start with his apology.
"Earlier you meant the Bingsu place opposite KU, right?"
"Oh? ...ah, yes"
"Let's go then"
And I marched towards the Ice-cream parlour, leaving behind a bemused P'Sing to slowly catch up to me.
Once I reached the doorstep of the shop "Bingsu", which was located very close to our university, I looked back to see P'Sing who was still several steps behind me. He had his head hanging down and hands stuffed inside his trouser pockets, seemingly contemplating hard on something.
"P'Sing?", I tried calling.
After a few seconds, he looked up with a nearly agonized look.
I was quite puzzled, to say the least, by this bizarre change in behaviour.
"Kit...", with that, he started fidgeting nervously.
This kittenish appearance on the usually domineering Head Hazer was absolutely adorable and at the same time hilarious, that my hands were too late in covering my mouth before a light chuckle escaped my lips.
I stared at P'Sing with wide, guilty eyes.
Hearing my chuckle, the previous uneasy demeanor on P'Sing was instantly replaced by a somewhat hostile aura. In a second, the one who stood before me was not a simpering boy, but every inch the Head Hazer of our faculty.
P'Sing's eyes gradually narrowed while looking at me and ultimately turned to slits.
"Let's go in"
His voice was not the usually honeyed voi- *cough* not the usual voice he uses with me, but rather the one he used on our freshmen.
With that single sentence, he walked past me and entered the shop.
What did I do?! Don't tell me it was 'cz I laughed?! What did he think I laughed at?!
There wasn't much room for thought, before I quickly ran behind P'Sing into the Ice-cream parlor.
Inside the shop, standing in front of the tubs and tubs of ice creams and toppings on display, P'Sing suddenly turned towards me.
There was a slight chilling sensation coursing right through my bones while looking straight into those cold eyes. There was a single thought running a marathon in my head.
He's upto no good.
Even before I had the time to complete my thought, with one eyebrow raised, P'Sing opened his mouth.
"Treat me"
There was a hint of threatening laced in those words.
"....."
Huh?
Treat him...?
Uh...he's gotta be kidding me. ......right?
