《✨【DETOUR SEVEN】✨ // JJBA Villains》5) Chase You.

As they minded their own business, a hooded man snatched the plastic bag out of Pucci's hands, swiftly running away with it.
Pucci jerked back in shock. It took a second for him to process this, but after realizing what had happened, he and the rest of the group chased after the figure into the darkness. Everyone was frustrated, angry, annoyed... Everyone except for Dio and Kars, of course. They were forced to come along.
"" Diavolo groans, " He just stole our shit...!"
"This was quite inconvenient. I guess lady luck isn't with us today..." Kira sighed. Oh boy, If he could just get his hands on that guy, he would most definitely kill him.
"Are we just going to let that foozler go?" Diego exclaims, "I am not going to lose my dinner to some idiot who dared to mess with me-! !"
As they chased the mysterious figure, it felt as if the world closed in on them. You know, that feeling when you are so concentrated on one subject- Or person-!
They just lost their dinner to some random hobo, and they are determined not to lose their pride by giving up. So, in conclusion...
『 Let's beat the shit out of them 』
Pucci was in the lead, with Kira right behind him. Then, Diavolo. Behind Diavolo was Valentine. Then, Diego, Dio, and Kars.
Running was getting tiring because their stamina had weakened ever since they got transported into this wretched universe. But... their stand powers- or their powers in general- are still the same. Just a tad bit weaker than before.
These bizarrely attired men pursued the person who just straight up snatched their only source of nourishment for that night.
Suddenly, they lost sight of the chap.
They made a sudden stop and looked around for clues. Then, Kira proposes a plan to split up so that finding the person would be slightly easier. They agree with his idea.

Dio only agreed to help out because he just wanted some blood to drink. He thought that maybe the blood in this world is different from his world. He needed something to get stronger, and he was desperate.
Then, they went their separate ways to try to locate the mysterious person who stole their stuff.
-
Kars decided that running or walking was too much. So, in a crowded area, he just casually grows wings and feathers. Then, he just launches himself with such force, the ground below him- . Yes, he did that without giving a single, flying fuck about anything.
Pfft... I know right, Who gives a shit about ?
He then scans the earth below with his sharp eyesight, a useful perk of being the "Perfect Lifeform".
-
Dio, on the other hand, stops in the middle of the road. To...You know, be a dick.
And then, he proceeds to 'Stand leap' over all the cars that were in the way.
The honking of cars, sharp shattering of glass, and the creaking of metal echoed all over the city, causing chaos.
-
Not even a few minutes later, everyone is back together again, having founded the hooded person.
Kira turns his head to Dio and Kars, who were just up in the air.
"What did you guys do?!" He shouts, suspecting them for causing all of this sudden chaos.
"Hmph, those cowardly mortals just can't handle the mighty power of I, Dio!"
Kira glares at Kars, who doesn't even try to reply.
Suddenly, the figure makes a right turn into an alleyway.
"Gah- God dammit-! I'll just use King Crimson to catch that bitch!" Diavolo wheezes, clearly worn out by all that running.
"『』"
The world began to warp around him. He could see everyone's next moves. He was in a dimension where only could naturally move in. Having activated his stand power, he moves towards the hooded individual. Then, he stops right in front of them.

King Crimson readies his fists, preparing to punch the absolute shit out of them.
Of course, with a stand that basically causes 'In real-life' lag for 10 seconds, he was able to catch up with the thief and punch the lights out of the odd man.
At this point, King Crimson's time skip ability had already taken place. So, Diavolo looked as if he had just come out of nowhere and punched this guy to his knees.
The man gasped in shock, "H-How d-did you...!"
"Keep your mouth shut."
Diavolo aggressively steps on the guy's head, slamming him down the ground, also keeping him from getting away.
Not long after, the rest of the group arrives.
"Look do we have 'ere..." Diego smirks, bending down towards the hooded man who laid there, face-flat onto the solid pavement.
"Hrm... It has been quite a while since I've sucked anyone dry~" Dio adds.
Wow, okay, he just ruined the whole mood.
The man yelped, squirming under Diavolo's foot.
"Also... I believe that we are here to retrieve something that has been... stolen from us."
Enrico takes the plastic bag from the struggling man.
"J-Just leave me alone-! T-Take it!" The man shrieked.
"Ohoh, I don't think so~"
Dio forcefully grabs the man by the neck, digging his sharp nails into his skin. He lifts the poor guy, sucking some of his blood and choking him in the process.
"W-What are you doing-?!" The man manages to sputter out, clawing at Dio's hands, trying to break his grasp on him. At this moment, blood began seeping out of his mouth, causing him to writhe into a coughing fit.
...
...
...
Multiple police sirens can be heard, wailing in the distance. The police cars drew closer, their overhead lights repeatedly blinking, red-blue.
Eventually, they arrive on the scene.
A blinding, bright light fell on their faces. The 7 men stood still like caught in .
Dio, irritated by the light, let go of the almost dead body, dropping it onto the ground in a puddle of blood.
""
Dio cringed at the white light, using his hands to cover his eyes.
A man then spoke through a megaphone, " "
"This is rather an unpleasant position to be in... I suggest we follow their orders. There are way too many-" Kira's grumbling was soon interjected by Dio, who cackled like a maniac.
"Haha-! All of your attempts of stopping I, , are ! "
"『』!"
time had stopped.
Dio charges towards the man, frozen in time, grinning menacingly.
All of a sudden, he felt a sharp, sudden pain at the back of his head.
Then, he begins to hear murmurs that seemingly came from nowhere.
...
"Don't do it. Don't do it. Don't do it."
...
He inched closer towards the man, trying to ignore those voices in his head.
In all his efforts of attempting to ignore the whispers, the pain just got worse. Whatever he did, he just couldn't bear the pain of this terrible 'Headache' he was currently experiencing.
"Impossible! ...Why... is this happening...!?" Dio grunts, gripping his head in agony. The pain was so agonizing, it brought Dio to his knees.
"...You shouldn't have done that..." the voice said, "...The promise..."
""
Dio fell to the ground, thrashing around in absolute pain. It was at this moment when he realized that his 10-second time-stop was over.
Although he was in a notably poor state, looking like a crack addict 'n all, the officers were both stunned and confused by his power to move from one place to another without obviously needing to walk or fly. Did he teleport, or was that just an illusion?
"Lord Dio!"

Killing Tree
When your day goes to hell and you find yourself kidnapped, strung up from a magical tree, and left to bleed out, what do you do next? Asking for a friend. Fortunately, Riordan Kincaid is a tough, gives-no-fucks honey badger shifter. Unfortunately, now that he's survived the first attempt, a death mage and their cult are determined to finish the job by whatever means necessary, pursuing Riordan across the wilds of rural Michigan. Ghosts and spirits are outside of his specialty, and heaven help him if he has to cast actual spells, but Riordan isn't going to make this easy on his enemies. Even if that means breaking his long exile, turning to the local shifter community for help, and dealing with a bureaucratic department of mages. And don't even get him started on getting licked by a damn spirit bear. Now he just needs to figure out what will kill him first: his enemies, his past, or his own attempts at using magic? Or will Riordan beat the odds and prove that honey badgers really are that hard to kill? If so, what will he do with a life once hung upon a tree that's more than a tree? Old Riding Author Lunatic Asylum
Just off the A19, in the dark, incomprehensible lands known as Yorkshire, there lies a town. A town where shadow-silent alleys glint with the secret hunger of knives. Where blood soaks the chipboard window shutters of forsaken terraces stretching off into the night. Where the smog-choked air rattles with the depraved laughter echoing out from clubs that can only generously be described as post-apocalyptic. Well, that’s Middlesbrough. But down the A19 a bit (an impossibly long way down, actually) there lies another town: Raughnen, in the ancient, forgotten Old Riding. It is an equal match in muggery and thuggery alike. It also has magic spells and pointy wizard hats. And now, across the miles and across all sensibilities, a pretty nasty power (a magic one) calls out for its pretty nasty counterpart (a decidedly unmagic one): a proper sound Boro lad. Nothing good can come of it. This is a collection of one novella and four connected short stories: I. A Yorkshire Summoning II. Old Riding Day Trip (the novella) III. Heaven is a Parmo IV. Death on the 66 V. Death on the 257 In total, this comprises 34 chapters totalling around 35,000 words, so try not to worry. It will be over relatively quickly. There are three more short stories with more tenuous links to the core collection: Rush, Paper Round and Scenario 79: Sausage Fingers, all of which can be found in my collection Short Records of Misadventure. Reading these may allow you to make more sense of certain parts of the story, if any sense is to be made at all. NOTE: There are instances of prejudice and discrimination within these stories, including elements of sexism and ageism, which are purely the thoughts and actions of the characters involved and which certainly do not reflect my own views on these matters. ANOTHER NOTE; A WARNING, PERHAPS: This can get a bit weird. In less than 150 pages, we have four viewpoints, first and third person narratives, and a completely disjointed plot with lots of gaps, dead ends and no real resolution. Also ZERO lunatic asylums. It's all a bit odd. If that sort of thing isn't your cup of tea, which it most likely isn't, it might be best to move on now.
