Paintbrush was sitting under a tree, yes a tree. Admiring the fresh snow and frozen lake, they smiled. 'This would make a great painting' they thought. They could picture it, oh yes it seems so fitting, so-
"Heya, Painty!"
They jumped a bit. Then frowned, they looked up to see the one and only lightbulb looking down at them. "Wassup? Why are you sitting alone?" Lightbulb showed a smile. They just rolled their eyes. "I'm fine lightbulb" she sat beside them. "Hey! Christmas is coming!" She said. They didn't even look at her, "yes I know lightbulb."
They tried to get her to go away, they just wanted to be alone. They wanted to let their thoughts consume them. Lightbulb couldn't stop talking. They were getting sick of it. "Can you just can it?!"they blurted, glaring at her. Lightbulb gave them a small smile, "um, bad day today?" She asked. "My day was going fine, until YOU came around." They grumbled.
Lightbulb sighed. "Well, I just wanted to make you feel better." She said weakly. Paintbrush frowned, "I don't care lightbulb, I don't need you to 'cheer me up' all you do is annoy me to death." Lightbulb's expression dropped. Paintbrush could practically tell she was frowning without even looking. It was hard. It was beginning to get harder to pretend not to care about her, it was hard to hate someone you love.
They sighed, "Just go and annoy someone else lightbulb." Lightbulb stiffened a bit, and stood up to walk away until she heard someone call to her. "Lightbulb!! Come here!" She looked up and smiled again, it was test tube! She hurriedly rushed to her green friend. "Hey tube! It's been a while!" Test tube smiled, "Y-yeah- it has, huh?" Lightbulb grabbed her hand excitedly without no warning and pulled towards the frozen over lake.

Test tube gasped a bit. "H-Hey waittt!!" Lightbulb giggled, "I can teach you how to skate and slide on the ice!" She suggested. Test tube smiled and rolled her eyes. "I already know how." She replied. Lightbulb shrugged and swirled around the ice. "Y'wanna slide together then?" Test tube beamed, "O-Oh sure! I'm pretty good at it." Lightbulb snickered. "Well then let's see who's better than who!" Test tube laughed. "Let's."
Paintbrush watched in confusion. They felt a little angry that lightbulb was having so much fun with...her. They felt a pang of guilt. They knew they'd probably never be able to have fun like that with lightbulb. They weren't exactly as friendly as they were. But lightbulb seemed more happy around other people, she looked nervous and slightly scared around them.
*sigh*
They didn't deserve such a caring and sweet being in their life. All lightbulb wanted to do was to please them, but they weren't returning the favor. They hurt lightbulb and they knew it, Just maybe. Maybe one day, they'd be able to tell lightbulb how much they care. How they truly feel about her.
Maybe one day. Hopefully.

Upheaval - The Gentle Apocalypse
The world is changing, but people carry on. Early in the summer, the world started changing. It is not known who first found out, but magic was real, or had become real. Of course, with the world as interconnected as it is, it took only two days for most people to know about it. Online groups sprang up, eager to test humanity’s collective new toy. Quickly, it was found out that it was all but harmless; there were (unconfirmed) reports of deaths as soon as the first day. Nevertheless, it is a novelty to most, trying it out like you’d try sports or a game. The world marches on as scientists set out to study this new phenomenon, to use it for furthering our collective knowledge and to understand it. But that won’t show any results any time soon; it is only five days since the “Reveal” meanwhile I’m out camping. I had planned this since March, to unwind from sixteen years of studying. Finally! Finally I am done with school! Getting a job is another matter… So I figured, with this magic stuff, why not try out meditating on it? I’ve enjoyed more than enough books and other media that at least some of the magic methods should be viable. Turns out, the world might not let me relax. R15+ Coarse language and adult themes. This story is finished.

Quantum Rip: Welcome to Ethos
A special day has come, a day that Earth has awaited for oh so long. The day where they are finally going to try and run the reactor. This had been long-awaited and everyone dropped off their kids with a hint of dread. Hoping that nothing would go wrong, we know it did. Since else there would not be a story. I won't go into too much detail, but only simply explain what happened. Due to some malfunctioning and incorrect assumptions, the reactor overproduced energy. Something which should have been impossible according to all the known knowledge of a really advanced Earth. I mean, they have even started colonizing planets. Have done countless simulations and even built test stations in space. Yet now, something had gone when they did the same on earth. Bizarre, right? This malfunctioning and imploding of the reactor caused a massive explosion due to the instability of space itself. This is also what allowed the story to exist, as our main characters were all transported. The method is not known, nor why they survived. We can say it is for the story, for now... They all now find themselves on Ethos, eating a mouthful of dirt as they struggled for breath. Some find their situation horrible, others find it relaxing and peaceful. Some see death, others see life. Despair and hope, madness and sanity on an edge. What has fate given you? Welcome to Ethos, a planet of magic.Welcome to Ethos, a planet orbiting an exotic star.Ethos wishes you luck in surviving. Maybe, just maybe... You can someday go back, or not. -----------------Release rate: 3 chapters(1200-1400 words) a week.
