"Amla where are you? It's been three months Amla, the new year was last week it's already 2017 oh my God baby girl where are you please tell me?" My mother said through the phone and my mouth dropped.
She said it was already 2017
"Mom, listen. I don't know how the heck this happened, but Mom I'm in Egypt mom and not just Egypt. I'm in the past mom the freaking past and to be honest I have no idea how this phone is still working? This world is completly mad Mom, They tried to kill me and now I'm a concubine to this King mother. I just want to go home." I said to my mother.
"Amla, what in the world are you talking about? What are you doing in Egypt!!! What do you mean the past? Are you okay sweetheart? Have something happen?" She said and I noticed King Tut was staring at the phone in my hand not believing that this was actually happening.
He most likely heard my mother's voice.
Did my mom not hear anything I just said.
"Mom please listen to me, I'm in the past as in sitting with King Tut," I said to her.
"Amla if this is a joke..." She said and I cut her off.
"Mom remember when you promise me you would believe me, unlike those parents who don't believe their kids in the movies when the kids are telling the truth," I said to my mom
"Amla how did you end up in the past? was it a witch??? Do you know how you can get yourself back here?" She asked me and I let out a breath because my mother finally was believing me.
"Your mother knows about witches?" King Tut asked me getting closer to me and bringing his ear closer to the phone.
I tried to shoo him away but he wouldn't budge.
"Amla I heard a man voice, who are you with?" My mother asked me and before I could give her an answer King Tut took my phone and held it the same way I held my phone.
"It is I King Tut, your daughter was brought here by my mother by marriage. She is an evil woman who is trying to have me killed and she's planning on using your daughter to accomplish that task." King Tut said to my mother on the phone.
I couldn't believe my eyes, I look at King Tut like he had lost his mind.
Grabbing my phone to speak to my mother.
"Of course, I will try to figure out what I can to bring her back to her Era, after all, she doesn't belong in mine." He said.

I couldn't comprehend what was going on in front of me, King Tut was having a conversation with my mother.
"I will protect her, you have my word." He said and I grabbed my phone from him.
"Sorry to interrupt this lovely bonding you have going on, but I. Your daughter is stuck here, like hello mother HELP," I said on the phone to my mom.
"Sweetie, I'm going to figure out how too. I need to meet up with your grandmother. How much percent of battery do you have? You shouldn't waste it all." My mother said and I quickly look at my phone.
"I'm at 93 percent and your right, I should save my battery. But I do have that solar battery charger. So I can use the sun to charge my phone." I was proud of myself for having my little gadgets.
"Good, I'll talk to you soon okay? I need to figure this out and how to get you of this." She said and I told her goodbye while saying I love her.
I hung up the phone and found King Tut staring ar me.
"What?" I asked
"Your mother didn't seem surprised about the whole magic thing." he said and I shrugged.
My family came from Africa, New Orleans, and Haiti so magic was normal to us.
My family has magic in their history.
"Well let's just say it's not unusual for our family," I said.
"Hmm well then, shall we sleep?" He asked and I raised a brow.
"Uh No," I said very quickly
"Well, I'll be sleeping, pardon me." He said pushing me which cause me to lay down on the other side of the bed.
"This is my side." He said and I rolled my eyes.
I look up and I did feel tired, I wish when I woke up this would all be a dream but I doubt it would.
"Are you awake?" Tut asked me, I glance at him.
"I'm not that fast of a sleeper," I said rolling my eyes.
"Ah, I would have thought you would be sleeping and sounding like a lion any minute now but I suppose not. As I was going to say, I would never let anything happen to you. You have my word." He said staring at the ceiling of his room.
I sat up to look at him closely, to see if he was being used as a puppet this very moment.
When I didn't see any hand up his ass or strings attach to his body.
I made eye contact with him.
"Okay, and I'll do the same for you. I'll protect you." I said and he laughed.

I raise a brow
"Tell me what's funny? I'm dying to laugh with you." I asked him, clearly not understanding what's funny.
"You said that would protect me." He said laughing more. "I don't need protection from you." He said.
"You might want to take that back," I said and he looked at me as if he was seeing someone two heads.
"I King Tut don 't take the things I say back, my words don't get taken back. Never." He said and I rolled my eyes.
"Well, Tut you seem to forget that I am not from this Era but from an Era that is Million years from now. I know everything that's going to happen King Tut, I know how Cleopatra is going to die, I know about Rameses, who you don't realize is related to you and King Tut, I know that you're going to die the youngest ruler." I said and as soon as I said it I wish I didn't.
Because the humor was ripped out of his face and he looks at me with the scariest expression ever.
"What do you mean I am going to die at a young age?" He asked me and I started cursing in my mind.
"I can't talk about this with you, it could change the future," I said and he came so close to my face that I thought I was going to attack.
"Tell me!!! woman. What did you mean?" He asked again and I looked at him, actually afraid to tell him.
"You were the short term ruling King of Egypt, You were Killed and till my Era, no one knew how. It was said to be an inside job." I said and I saw the life leave King Tut face.
"Tut, Tut. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have told you." I said but he just looked at me with a blank expression.
"These matters happen for a reason ." He said and I let out a breath but felt sad that he was going to not fight.
"So you're going to let what happens, happens?" I asked and King Tut shook his head.
"I would not, What I meant is that. You're here, you know about this Era. You know about the things that are going to happen. I'm going to need your help, I'm going to need you to help me fight and stay alive until an old age where life takes me but not by a hand of another. There's something that the person who's going to kill me doesn't have. a Mala and I are glad I came in contact with one. So if what you say is true, which I'm sure it is. Be my Goddess and watch over and I shall ever be in your debt." He said and I knew he was serious.
He gave me such a serious expression that I felt myself heavy breathing.
"King Tut, that might affect the future," I said, he was asking me to keep him alive, I also knew he was asking me to help him keep Egypt on its feet. I was a history geek, I knew everything about history. I knew about Anatolia, Egypt, Peru, South, West Africa and Much More.
I knew what was going to happen, I knew when and where. I knew about attacks that haven't even been thought of. I was a girl from the future.
If anyone else knew about me being in this Era they would probably keep me captive and use me to destroy this Era and take over the future.
"I know Mala, I know of what I ask you. but I am not asking you as a King but a fellow person who is beginning to care about you and your well-being. a Person who is willing to protect you. Will you do the same for me." He said.
"Okay, but no one must know about this. No one shall ever know who I am and what I can do. If they do Tut. They will take me and I don't want to imagine what they will do to me just to get answers about the weather." I said.
King Tut nodded his head.
"You're protected by me, My lovely Goddess, My Ishtar." He said and I raised a brow.
"Why you being so sweet and calling me Ishtar," I said.
"You just told me that I was going to be killed at a young age and you're the only one who can figure out who's going to do it and how to stop it. I have to change the way I am towards you." He said with a smirk and the Jack Ass King was back.
I pushed him away and he gave me a chuckle
"So my lovely Nubian Goddess, tell me about who you're," He asked and I was going to say something slick to him.
but the look in his eyes, made me stop. the look in his eyes showed me that King Tut was actually worried about the news of him dying at a young age.
So for that very moment, I gave him a playful shrug and smiled.
"Well, let's see..."

Fated Nirvana || Completed ✅
The Fated Series. Book #1. "A single minute without her in my arms and it felt like a lifetime." - Mateo Ramos My name is Mateo Adam Ramos. I was born into a family who's bleed for their reputation, and built us into being one of the most dangerous families to exist. You hear my name... you run. I for one am determined to continue upholding that reputation because that's in my blood. But things are never that simple, are they? Feeling and emotions got involved, and everything I thought I knew, vanished the second I met her. A soft souled, beautiful brown eyed girl who gleams with goodness found her way into my life. I shouldn't have played the good samaritan, that was my fault. I don't want to know goodness, and yet I'm drawn in like it's the light to cure my sins. This goodness has a name, and a face of salvation and I for one know I shouldn't get involved. Guess what I do? I get involved. Because even if I don't want too that's not really how fate works, is it? You don't pick and choose fates plan, you get slammed with it and good luck to your poor soul. This is my story, the kind that was written years before I was even born, and now I'm living it. Watch me make a mess of it too, because after all, I wasn't born to follow. P.S. This book is technically #1, but I have a book before this one that's about their parents. You learn more, and get a clue about their parents and why they are the way they are. Some of the conversations in this book would make more sense by knowing the past. It's not as well written, but if you can get thought it, I promise you'll love this one even more. Of course if you rather start here, then you do you! It will make sense either way! I tired to fill in all the gaps without it getting overbearing. You can always hop back to the book before this after.
