it was 6:02am.

it wasn't common for jinwoo to wake up at this time, nor was it common that he had decided to slide his curtains open and look out the window.

it also wasn't common that he saw myungjun outside, hugging a bouquet of anemones to his chest and shaking slightly.

jinwoo's hand dropped from the curtain. why was he here? clutching a bouquet of anemones? and shaking as if he was...

jinwoo rushed down the stairs when he realized.

crying.

"myungjun!"

he didn't look up, but his body stopped moving and the stillness of him sent a wave of anxiety through jinwoo's blood.

"good morning?" jinwoo asked, walking up to him slowly. myungjun flinched when his hand was placed on his shoulder.

"hey," he mumbled, trying to choke back his sobs.

"are those anemones?"

"no, jinjin, it's fairy bread," he laughed slightly, "i mean, yeah, they are."

jinwoo heart was threatening to leave his body. as the realization that it could be myungjun giving him the flowers ran up his cheeks, words spilled out of his mouth to confirm that.

"is it- is it you sending me the flowers and- and the letters and-"

"yes"

"oh"

myungjun still wasn't facing him.

"can i ask why you're crying?"

"i'm not"

"yes, you are"

"i'm just watering the flowers"

jinwoo laughed and crouched down to sit next to him, removing myungjun's hair from his eyes as he fidgeted with the ribbon ( ™ ) on the bouquet.

"i'm actually uh really, really happy that you have been the one sending me flowers"

"o-oh"

"and i read your letters"

myungjun swallowed slightly and shifted his eyes to the ground. "so you must know my feelings for you then"

"i do"

laughing slightly, myungjun wiped his tears with his jacket sleeve. "well?"

jinwoo wordlessly brought one of hands up to myungjun's cheek. his chest was pounding. his face was on the verge of being an all new shade of red, undiscovered by the world.

"what if my lips were to magically land on yours right about now?" jinwoo asked, his eyes capturing myungjun's in his own, attempting to ignore the red hotness he felt in the hand in contact with myungjun's cheek.

"well then," myungjun laughed. "i would suddenly believe in magic"

the anemones silently fell from myungjun's grasp, his hands already clasped around jinwoo's back and his love already caught in jinwoo's lips.
