We reach my house and let me just say, my legs are sore. I can barely walk so Vinnie guides me by my waist. I see my mother and sister by the door standing, smiling.

"Hi, mom, Mani, I know you haven't seen Vinnie yet but he's so excited to meet you." My sister Mani is 29 years old.

"Hey Vinnie, did you know that Ansh used to have a big crush on you?" Mani winks and I want to slap her. IS SHE SERIOUS???

Vinnie laughs and I blush. "To be fair, a lot of girls did." He winks and we all laugh. My family is already liking him.

My father is inside but he's kind of mad. It's because he doesn't want his little girl to grow up yet and get a boyfriend. He'll eventually like Vinnie. Vinnie is a very likable person.

We step inside and see my father.

"Dad!" I run up to him and hug him. He hugs me but glares at Vinnie. Vinnie looks away.

"Oh dad come on. Vinnie is great! I promise." He grunts and I sigh.

"Give him a chance. Please? I really like Vinnie. It would be nice to have your support." When my father grunts again I sigh and walk away. But he grabs my hand back.

"I'm sorry, my child, but you are still my baby. And if he really does make you that happy... I can give him a chance." I jump up and down and hug him.

"Thank you dad! I love you so much." He hugs me back.

"But if he hurts you at all, I will hunt him down. Got it?" I nod and laugh. My dad will never change.

We reach inside, but my parents have some rules. Vinnie is going to sleep in the guest room, which is fair because they don't want any hanky-panky. Two, he cannot sneak in at night. We can text but that's it. I understand where they're coming from. And I'm not mad.

I help him unpack and get settled in his room. His cheeks are pink from the cold. I smile. Vinnie is so adorable when he looks like this.

When we're done, I wish Vinnie good night. He kisses me on the cheek which makes me blush. I go to my room. Mani hugs me and I go to bed. There, I text Vinnie.

I go to sleep and think about Vinnie's texts. So simple yet they make my heart gush.

The plane ride back to New York made us arrive at 1 AM, and hour after the New Year. But we face timed my family so we could watch it together. It was sweet. Now we're here and I'm really happy.

Next week I'm going back to college. Am I excited? No and yes. I'm gonna miss this. Although I visit every weekend, it's not the same. I'll miss my mother's food, my dad's hugs, my sister's humor. And I'll miss Vinnie and his kisses.

So for now, I let myself enjoy this week. I only get to see them twice a week, sometimes even once during college.

This week will be the best week. I'll make sure of it.
