I meet up with Mia, Vina and Kayla. We're all at our favorite ice cream shop. After this, we're gonna go to this party.

"ANSH! Tell us more about your boyfriend." Kayla likes to bother me about the fact that my old influencer crush is now my boyfriend. It is quite amazing. Mia is just winking at me. I want to slap her. Vina, as usual, is tuning out the Vinnie Hacker talk because she doesn't like him.

"He's... very nice. And let me just say, Vinnie can kiss!" Kayla and Mia squeal. Vina stares at us. She thinks we're crazy.

"Wait, isn't next week his birthday?" Mia's right. He's gonna be 24.

"Yep." Kayla and Mia share a look. They smile and I know what's coming.

"You should get a sexy outfit. Like a tight dress," says Mia.

"YES. And wear a smokey eye. It'll look really good. Ansh if you don't do this, I will slap you." She gives me a fake angry look, and we laugh.

Vina looks at us with her mouth open. We laugh with her and continue to eat our ice cream. She shakes her head.

"You know, I don't know why I hang out with you people." We laugh again. Afterwards we decide to shop. Mia helps me with the outfit. She wants me to get lingerie, but I say no. She sighs and points to a beautiful green dress.

I look at it. Wow. This dress is gorgeous. I decide to buy it. It was pretty cheap, about $20. You'd think that for a dress like this in New York would be more, but it's not too much. Or maybe it's just the store.

We walk out. Kayla takes me to Sephora and we buy some makeup. A dark palette and plum lipstick.

After we get everything, we head to the party. I curl my hair a little bit and throw on a simple light brown sweater and a jean skirt. I put some lip gloss on.
