Made for my best friend since 5th grade because she's an amazing friend :)

I've never felt this way

The words you say sound as though it is gibberish

Worry about me?

Focus on me?

Make myself my number one priority?

I've never been told that before

Friend after friend,

Problem after problem,

I've always helped

Yes, I've always dealt with it

But you're telling me,

I shouldn't have

But there's no way I couldn't have

Although you say, if I knew, I wouldn't

have

How come I'm just finding this out?

How come no one told me this before?

Why didn't anyone tell me these secrets?

Was I not allowed to know?

I've lost friend after friend

I asked the reason

But the only response I got was,

"Figure it out"

Where do I start?

Did you ask me to find why because you did not have a reason yourself ?

Was it because you were commiting a treason?

Did you just dislike me?

Did I do something wrong?

I couldn't have

I look back at every message

As I recall every conversation,

Nothing.

I find nothing

So how could it be me?

But now I see,

I see that I did go wrong

I gave you too much of me

I gave you too much of my self

Because you took advantage and made it seem like you dealt with me

I miss you everyday

Thinking what I could do

What I could do to make you be friends with me again,

But as I let all this out to her she tells me,

"You've been doing it wrong"

Wrong?

I don't like being wrong,

But in some situations like these,

I don't like being right.

I wonder what she means but she just tells me,

"What do YOU love about yourself"

I tell her what others said about me

Truthfully,

She doesn't care

She wonders what I think,

I tell her,

I hate things about myself, not love

When I'm in the wrong,

You set me straight,

Is this what they call,

A true friend?
