《Come back to us (The Lost Boys Poly fanfic)》Chapter 18 Saved or death

Marko's pov:
Jay passes out from all the blood loss. If we don't do anything soon she'll be dead. I don't know if the witch has been on their side this whole time or if she just joined. Her tan skin lighting under the moon. I can see she is young, maybe in her late 20s.
"Their probably lying to you you know. Their nothing but evil and will lie to help them. Their probably just going to use you then kill you themselves." I speak up still feeling my legs froze to the ground. The witch cackled. Showing her white crooked teeth. "Talking down on your own species. No wonder they'll want to kill you. You'll just stab your own species in the back."
"No we wouldn't if they weren't trying to kill our mate." Paul says huffing. Peeking his eyes over to an unconscious Jay laying on the dirt. David rushes out of the woods, picking off leaves and sticks off of him before he looks up and sees Jay. "You Fuckers! I'm going to tear you limb from limb." He growls flashing his golden eyes. He never felt more angry then now. Touching his mate pissed him off.
Someone flies at the witch making her scream. The man sinks his teeth in her draining every ounce of blood in her. The tall man stands up smoothing out his Mustache. "I assume your my relatives mates. Nice to meet you I'm Adrian." He nods his head. Our eyes go wide. "Your the vampire king!" Axel shouts pointing at him. A crease goes across his forehead. "Yeah and your the vampires after my Ancestor." He rubs his hands together looking down seeing Jay laying there limp.
"Oh by the way you can move now. The witch is dead." His deep voice booms looking at me and Paul. I look down at me feet and wiggle them. "Oh thank you." I step forward. David lunges at Axel and I lunge at Lila. I tower over her small frame with my hands wrapped around her throat. "I'm going to kill you!" She chokes up some blood before swinging us around so she was on top of me. Her hands wrapped around my neck squeezing tightly.
"No. I'm going to kill you." She laughs sitting on my waist pinning me down. A foot flies up and knocks her in the head making her fall down holding her head groaning. "Finish her kid." Adrian smirks setting his foot down after kicking her. I nod and grab a wooden stick stabbing it through her heart. Blood pouring out as her face pales and her eyes gloss over. I catch my breath looking over to David. He killed Axel. Standing above him with blood smeared all over him. "She's still alive but her heart beat is weak." Adrian leans down toward Jay.

"I don't care if she's not ready to be a vampire were not going through this again." David grumbles biting into his wrist letting the blood pour into Jay's mouth. After some goes into her mouth he pulls away and licks his wound. "Where's Dwayne?" He asks looking around. "I don't know I haven't seen him since he started to attack." I say scanning the woods.
The woods are clear. Only fog in them. "He went to get Max for help. The redhead girl tried to stab him in the heart missing and stabbing his stomach. I was with Max discussing meeting you guys when he came and that's how I ended up here." Adrian explains looking down at Jay. His black hair slicked back and those same green pericing eyes as Jay. You can tell their related. "Were is Max and Dwayne now?" David asks taking Jay's head and resting it on his lap.
"Max was patching up Dwayne's wound then they were going to come here to help fight." "Speaking of." Paul says looking behind us. Max walks with his arm around Dwayne's waist helping him walk. A bandage sits across his stomach with blood on it. "Every thing okay now?" Max asks pushing his round glasses up. I wish everything was okay. It will be If Jay wakes up. "Yea we killed them. They almost killed Jay but David gave her some blood to turn her. "We just wanted to take her to her favorite diner, then this happened." Paul says looking down. Picking at his white stained pants.
Max and Dwayne sit down next to us. All of us sitting on the ground by Jay hoping she wakes up. "Shouldn't she be awake by now?" David breaks the silence. Worry peeking through his eyes. Max nods sadly. It's been a rough night. We all just wanted to go home, but we all felt frozen in our places hoping Jay wakes up. Watching and staring down at her. She looked just like that night when they first came. Blood stuck to her wounds. Deep punctured holes on both sides of her neck.
"Come on. Wake up!" David runs his fingers through his hair panting. We never seen him like this before. He was scared, scared for the first time. Panicked blue eyes scanning around us. Heavy breaths coming out. "Come on please wake up!!" He shouts slamming his fist on the cold ground. Paul takes a big gulp trying to hold back tears. I couldn't hold them back. They were already flowing out of my eyes. Dwayne had little tears brimming his eyes as he stared down at Jay.

"Her heart is not beating I'm afraid." Adrian speaks up. All of our eyes flick up to him. "D-don't tell us we lost he-her." I stutter rubbing her leg. "I gave her blood when her heart was still beating. Is my blood not strong enough?" David cried plopping back on the floor digging his face into the ground. He's hysterical, the bad ass David we normal have is scared for his life. We never seen him cry before.
Even our cold dead hearts pound against our chests. Did we just lose the best thing that ever happen to us? The one human that we fell for and she didn't care if we were monsters. She looked at us like we were still normal. Even taught us how to love again.
Her eyes slowly flutter open. She sits up looking at all of us. "David.." I called out to him. His face still buried in the ground. "Leave me alone." He mumbles. "Your going to want to see this." Dwayne says holding his stomach. David whips around angry. His eyebrows knitted together. "Wha-" he sees Jay looking at him. Tear stains down his cheek with new ones still coming out. He leaps forward and hugs Jay. "I thought I lost you." He mumbles in her neck. We all hug her crying, we didn't lose her.
"How am I alive?" She asks. We all lock eyes with each other before Max speaks up. "David turned you into a vampire." "So I'm like you guys now?"
"Kinda, only half. You need to make your first kill before turning into a full one." David says rubbing the tears out of his eyes.
Jay's pov: My eyes widen. I knew this day would come. The day I became one of them, specially since I'm there soul mate. A immortal creature of the night. I wasn't ready to kill people. I wasn't ready to feed on blood, but I had to be soon. "Don't worry you don't have to do it right now, but soon. Soon as you go for the kill your instincts will take over and you won't feel scared or upset about it." David says sensing my anxiety.
"Think of it like a tiger after a prey when it's feeling hungry. It's instincts take over and it just goes for the kill not even thinking about it." Dwayne rests his hand on my leg. I nod thinking about it. Their right, but I still couldn't process the thought of intentionally harming another human, even killing one at most. "Let's get you back to the cave. We need to sleep the suns about to come up." Dwayne grabs my hand pulling me up back on my feet.
"What about your guy's bikes?" I look over to the scratched up bikes on the side of the road. Worry washes over Marko's and Paul's face. They loved their bikes. Dwayne walks around me brushing off grass and dirt off of me. "I don't know, I guess we'll see if they still work." Paul shrugs strutting over to his bike with Marko following. They both try to start it. Paul's still works but Marko's had gas leaking out of it and it won't start. "Dammit!" He smacks the seat. "I'm sorry, this is all my fault." I rest my hand on his shoulder. His head swivels around to look at me, with his long blonde hair dangling from the motion.
"I told you it's not your fault. So please stop saying that." He pleads with sad eyes. "Ya babe, stop being so hard on yourself." Paul taps his fingers on the handles. "Marko you can ride with me if you want." Paul leans forward resting his head on his fist. "Nah it's alright, I'll walk her home." He sighs. "Her?" My eyebrows raised. "Yea she's a girl, I named her Dottie." Marko smirks a cheeky grin while slapping the leather seat.
A laugh escapes my mouth. "What do you call me?" He purses his lips while he thinks. A smile forming back on his lips as he thinks of a name. "Sugar tits." I playfully slap him laughing. "Hey that's what I call her." Paul pouts. "Well fine I'll stick with angel." Marko smiles rolling his bike forward. "Are you three done monkeying around? The sun is about to come up?" David huffs Crossing his arms with Dwyane standing near him trying to hold back a smirk.
"Yea yea." Marko swats at the air. "Come on sugar tits." Paul smiles patting the space behind him. I climb in behind him. "I'll see you guys back at the cave. I'm not going to leave Dottie behind." Marko looks at us before walking his bike down the road.

To The Far Shore
Post apocalyptic Oregon Trail. The apocalypse has come and gone. And come back again, and left again... nobody really knows how often. Nothing lasts forever, but nothing is ever completely gone. Which is a shame for young Mazelton, as his family has been around a terribly long time, and made an astonishing amount of enemies. Millenia's worth. So he has to run- from mobs, cannibals, soldiers, sailors, cholera, cattle, thieving sales-monks, starvation, mechanical horrors, vengeful spirits, negotiating your own marriage, and poison of every sort. Fortunately, his not terribly nice family has trained him well in the arts of core polishing. Or as you and I might know it- turning radioactive pellets into useful tools. And weapons. Updates Monday-Wednesday-Friday. Usual defensive tags applied. The goal isn't exactly family friendly, but you have probably seen worse on network TV. After the watershed. Not full blown HBO, let's say. This is the first novel I am sharing publicly, so feedback is very much appreciated and encouraged. Act 1 of the novel is completed, but do please let me know what works, what doesn't, and what you would like to see more of. Thank you, and Enjoy!
