"What kinda question is that?" I laughed. "I just met the guy, how am I supposed to feel about him?"

Paul shrugged and smirked. "I dunno. What was your first impression?"

I could have gone on a dating show and gotten less questions. It was like ninth grade relationships again.

"Paul, if there's a specific answer you're looking for-"

"No, I just wanna know what you think of my friend, that's all."

I nodded and sighed. "He seems like a real cool guy. Very attractive.. dreamy.."

"You interested in him?"

"Paul, I don't even know him.. and don't tell him I said this, but he's kinda.. intense.. like, intimidating. Sorta scary, sometimes," I mumbled.

Why Paul thought that was so funny, I'll never know, but he laughed and gave my hair a little ruffle. Which, I did not appreciate considering it was one of the few days where it looked perfect.

Marko snickered and looked at me. "He seems to have the hots for ya,"

"Paul is my brother..."

"Not Paul!"

I thought for a moment, then it hit me. "Ohhh, you mean David,"

"Yeah, Einstein." he rolled his eyes. "That's why we came looking for ya. He wanted to know where you were. Wanted to see you again, I guess," he shrugged.

I nodded and raised a brow. "That's, uh, that's sweet, but I kinda told Sammy I'd hang out with him.." I wasn't sure if I should have said that. The kind of tough guy he is, he might have heard and then killed me for being disrespectful. But I took my chances and hoped that wasn't the case.

Paul sighed. "Come on, Jazzy. You can hang out with him later. Just come over for a while."

"I dunno-"

"Please? For me?"

He gave me these big puppy eyes. I hated when people did that. Because I was a total sucker for them.

"Ugh, fine!" I gave in and walked with them. "So, where is he?"

"Standing by his motorcycle." Paul answered.

We walked a few minutes more, then we saw him. There he stood, a cigarette dangling from his lips, and smoke floating about him. A pretty hot scene.

"Hey, we're back!" Marko exclaimed.

I was a bit dazed, but quickly came back to reality and walked up with them.

"There's my favorite girl. Hey, baby." David smirked.

One half of me was feeling like the chick from Scarface when he said that. The other half was filled with butterflies.

"Hiya, night rider."

I wasn't as shaky or scared during this meeting, that was good. I really just wondered what we'd be doing when we got to that hangout of theirs. This time, I wouldn't stay there just to be abandoned.

David sat back on his bike and held his hand out to help me. "We're going for a ride."

A ride? Sounded more exciting than sulking in a blanket again. I took his hand and got on the back, wrapping my arms around him.

He threw his cigarette to the ground and we were off. A moonlit adventure was that night's activity, and I was pretty excited.
