《Two Hikers》Chapter 3 Part 2

We enter the apartment as quietly as possible and shut the door. As soon as the door was closed we all burst out laughing at what we had just accomplished. There is words of amazement going around the group, some of us even saying the same thing.

"Evelyn, there is a very real chance that you, awoke, something in Diane." Thanks Alex, but good to know I can keep my options open.

"As scary as that was, I loved it and it was so funny just to see her brake like that." I state what I'm thinking, with agreement nods as a response.

Alex pulls a USB out of her pocket so that's what she was grabbing. "I hope this was worth it." It better be I just flirted with Diane for it.

Steph plugs the USB into Alex's laptop but an annoying beep greets us and it says it requires a password. Wonderful. "Password protected, guess I'm not surprised."

Ryan pulls the USB out of the laptop and says, "I'll bring this to Riley, she's a wiz at computer stuff." He then goes to walk out but stops, I join him and wait for Steph.

"And in the mean time, we have a LARP to do." She indicated between her and Alex. "Grab your hat and meet me at the park. And don't forget your guitar!"

"Is the guitar really necessary?" The whole purpose of a bard is music, isn't it?

"What?! The bards whole job is to musically regale people" I was right.

Me, Ryan and Steph all make our way to the door and Steph asks Ryan "So, did you finish the thing?"

"Yeah barely, took me all night. I haven't carved like that in ages." At this point I am completely lost and curiosity gets the better of me so I have to ask as we make our way down the stairs.

"What were you carving?" The answer wasn't exactly what I had in mind but cool none the less. "A sword."

We split off from each other, well Steph does as me and Ryan are going to the same place. He puts his wolf mask on the top of his head, not quite down but not off, and I can't help but laugh. "What?" He asks with an accusatory tone in his voice.

"Nothing, nothing. It's just that I'd never picture you wearing a wolf mask." I say through the dying down giggles. But I stop pretty quickly due to the next words spoken.

"Okay, ha ha, Princess." And I get that it's for the LARP and I play a princess but it still affected me for some stupid reason. Pull yourself together Evelyn.

I don't say anything and just walk over to where I'm meant to be, which is by Jed on the stage and I go off to the side with no words spoken.

Lets get this show on the road.
