《Living My Fantasy》59. Abnormally Normal
Advertisement
I woke up and found my room was a mess. Seeing my room's condition the memory of yesterday night came back and reminded me that I have lost the most precious happiness of my life. I lost my Sanam. I wasn't able to believe it.
"Please tell me it's a dream. Please." I whispered to myself as a drop of tear leaked from my eye but I know that it wasn't a dream. It was end of my life like dream. It was end of my fantasy. It was a reminder to face the bitter reality because fairy tales are only tales.
Sanam's POV
As any usual day, Keshav came to my apartment and we left together for our morning walk.
"Shorty abhi tak nahi ayi? " Keshav asked as we crossed Warisha's building. I debated that should I tell him about us or not. They are going to find it anyway, the sooner the better.
"Mujhe nahi lagta ab woh hamare saath jogging k liye aya karegi."
Keshav looked at me "Why?"
Taking a deep breath and keeping my voice normal I answered "We broke up."
Keshav stopped at his spot and began to laugh "The best SANAMism till date Sanam! What a joke. You two and break up? Come on! "
I shook my head as I sighed. Inhe kaise believe hoga and how can I make them believe it when I haven't excepted it myself?
"I'm not joking Keshav. I broke up with her after the party." I said sternly.
Keshav stood straight noticing the seriousness in my voice "But why? Everything was good between you two then suddenly kya hua? " he questioned.
"Good morning! "
Keshav and I turned towards the speaker "Morning Shorty! " Keshu hi-fived her.
She came.
I wanted to look at her and make sure that she was fine or not but something inside me was stopping me. I didn't have enough courage to look at her.
"You know I almost believed his joke." Keshav said as he jogged with Warisha by his side. I also resumed to catch up with them.
"What joke? " she asked casually.
She isn't even looking at me Man!
"That you two broke up." Keshav chuckled.
"We did." She confirmed.
"Don't start it again! " Keshu rolled his eyes.
Warisha stopped followed by Keshu.
"K.D, Sanam and I... " she looked at me for the first time. And I observed her. Her eyes were swollen and red, missing its usual spark. Her face was dull and her smile, it had sadness "We are over. Sanam mazak nahi kar raha. We.. We broke up."
She said it so fluidly as it didn't matter to her. I looked sideways keeping my hands on my waist. This conversation was suffocating me.
"But why?" Keshav asked in disbelief.
"Keshu yaar... Hogaya na. We broke up. Its over. Ab yeh why and kyu ka jawaab mat pucho! " I said in frustration "And its not my first break up! "
"Yeah! Keshu chill! " Warisha patted Keshav and began to jog, leaving us behind.
"She looks.... normal.. " Keshav said feebly.

I kept looking at her walking away "yeah.. She looks normal." But I know that she is anything right now but normal.
Samar's POV (First time! Wohoo)
"They did what?! " Suman and I exclaimed when Keshav told us about Sanam and Warisha.
"You heard me Samar." Keshav sighed.
"What's wrong with him?" I snapped angrily.
"Calm down Samar. Koi to reason hoga between their deci-"
"It's not their, its HIS decision Suman! " I said in between her words. "I am going to talk with him." I stood from my spot but Keshu and Suman stopped me saying "Samar, we know that you love both of them but even Sanam isn't happy right now. Give him some time. Woh khud sab bata dega." Suman said sincerely.
After listening her words I realized that she is right. Sanam will definitely tell us what had actually gone wrong.
"Okay." I sighed.
"Chalo.. We have recording with Shorty today." Keshav reminded me patting my back and I nodded with a smile.
"SANAM.. AAJA STUDIO JANA HAI." I called.
"AAYA! " He replied.
Keshav and I got out from our apartment and Suman hugged me bye "Look after Sanam and Warisha."
"I will." I promised her giving a peck on her cheek.
We got in our car. Venky will join us directly in studio. I sat on driver seat and Keshav sat beside. Sanam came and settled himself on backseat. I just drove our car outside our society and saw Warisha waiting for cab. I stopped our car in front of her.
"Hey... " she smiled.
"Chalo.. Get in Warisha." I said "Studio hi jana hai. Chalo saath chale."
She looked at Sanam and then back at us "Samar, cab arahi hai. You guys continue."
"Warisha... " I said sternly.
"Ek hi jagah jaa rahe hai. Aajao." Sanam said. She finally agreed and Sanam opened the door for her. She smiled getting in. Both of them were on back seat but the distance between them were so new and strange for us. From a long time we were habituated with seeing them sitting close to each other and having their childish games and fights but today, it was so unusual. Both sticking near their window side.
Our ride didn't had the fun vibes as usual rather it was gloomy. Keshav and I exchanged looks and sighed driving to our destination.
I decided to turn on the radio and when I did, something happened
Ae Sanam umr bhar saath saath hum rahe... Do badan.. Ek jaan.. Saath saath hum jiye..
Kheta tadap ke yeh dil mera.. Oh kheta tadap ke yeh dil mera,
Hona nahi hai juda.. Hona nahi..
I was glancing at them through rare view mirror and saw my brother getting uncomfortable.
I smirked. Of course he must be thinking of the time when Warisha use to sing all this song for him to make him laugh during their silly fights.
"Samar, change the song na. Kitna purana hai." Sanam said and Keshav smiled changing the station.
Yeh saala usi jaan leta hai.
Maine O Sanam tujhe pyaar kiya..

Keshav and I looked at each other and shared a look of WHAT-IS-WRONG-WITH-THE-SONGS-TODAY.
Tune O Sanam mujhe dhoka diya.
Warisha looked at Sanam and then she asked us to stop the radio "Oh God please. Subah subah aise songs nahi! " she tried to sound normal but I know the real.
"Radio bhi mujhe mock kar raha hai." Sanam shook his head taking the songs personally. Yeh ladka pagal hogaya hai.
"Haa.. I bribed them you know? " Warisha rolled her eyes.
Yeh madam bhi kam nahi hai but let it be Ise bahane baat to kar rahe hai.
"Pure sheher ko batana chahti ho that I'm bewafa? "
"Main ne ek baar bhi aisa nahi kaha... Tum khud khe rahe ho." She looked at him intently. Her eyes saying much more than her words. And then I figured it has to do something with Natasha.
Inke break up ke peeche ka reason wahi hogi. I have to do something!
When we reached studio we found that Venky was already there and unknown to fact of Sanam and Warisha's break up. For him, everything was usual. After greeting each other Venky started "Heya! Everything is ready. Warisha.. " he looked at her "you already know this song, today is the Final and make it quick. We have to record the sad track today as well with other singer." He chuckled and so did everyone.
When we were rehearsing for this track, for time pass Warisha tried to sing the sad track and we all ended up laughing as it didn't matter that how much Warisha tried but she was not able to put the emotion of sadness and heartbreak in that song because she have that fun and happy vibe within herself all the time.
Warisha got inside the recording room and four of us took our usual spot. She started singing and after few line Venky stopped her.
"Warisha... not happening. Everything is.. " Venky shrugged.
She smiled apologetically "one more."
And this one more continued for more than half a dozen time. She was not able to bring the party vibe. Venky was getting annoyed as Warisha usually use to record her song in first try and maximum it use to take three but this time.
"I'm sorry. I don't know what's wrong.. "
"You sure that you don't know what is wrong? " I raised my eyebrow at her questioningly and she looked down.
"Warisha... Focus! This is party song. We need party vibe. People have to groove! " Sanam said.
"I know... "
"I think she needs a break." Keshav nodded at her.
"And I need a coffee." Venky said walking out from the studio "Me too.. " Keshu followed.
Warisha kept her eyes glued on paper and trying to find the keys and pitch whereas Sanam eyes never left her. I know my brother and I know that he loves her, then why is he doing this to himself and Warisha?
"Nahi horaha hai! " Warisha cried hitting the papers on table and hiding her face in her palms. Sanam approached to held her but stopped himself from doing so.
I shook my head at his action. Why are you doing this Sanam?
"Warisha, you just can't say that 'nahi horaha hai' see I know that you are sad because of what happened between us but you cannot just-"
"Sanam shut up! " I snapped at my brother for behaving like that. Warisha looked at him with tears pooling in her eyes.
"Excuse me." She mumbled in broken voice walking out from there.
"What was that Sanam? Kya tha woh? Tu kaise aise bol sakta hai! "
"Samar woh main.. " he struggled with his words.
"Woh main kya? You broke up with her hours ago! And then singing in front of you isn't easy for her now and its not about singing. It's not easy for her to be normal in front of you. Upar se tera yeh behavior."
"Samar, she us behaving like that yaar. Main kya karu? " he asked.
"Tu kuch mat kar but at least woh bhi mat kar jo tu kar raha. Don't be rude to her man! "
"I'm not being rude, Samar. " he defended.
"Of course you are! You have always treated her like a child. You always use to calm her with your words but today.. today you made her cry. Kya hogaya aisa Sanam?" I asked him finally.
He looked at me with sadness in his eyes "She doesn't trust me bhai and without trust, there is no meaning of our love."
I closed my eyes taking a deep breath. So this is the problem.
"Tum dono ne Teen saal ek dusre ka wait kiya. You loved each other all those year because there was belief and trust between you two. How can you say that she doesn't trust you? "
"Samar, she did believe on those rumours that's why usne mujhe contact nahi kiya." He kept his point.
"Uska point bhi to samaj. You were the lead singer of No. 1 band of India and she was only a fan. Of course use lagega that it was just a dream! " I defended her.
"And trust issue use nahi khete. Trust issue use khete when Natasha told you about Armaan and Warisha and you showed up there and ended up doing something which I never expected from you."
"She told you that?" Sanam asked me looking down. I shook my head "No... Suman's friend Tina did. She saw you in her van and then..... mark." I said in disapproving tone.
"I'm sorry Sam-"
"Tu mujhe sorry bol raha hai? Main tujhe kabse keh raha hoon. She is a kid Sanam but see what you did."
"She is a kid na? Tab to maine aur bhi thik kiya..breaking up with her. I should date someone who is as mature as I am rather than I kid like her? " he said with a hint of anger in his voice.
"Sanam.. " I hissed.
"I'm done with my relationship with her and this topic! " he concluded walking out from there. As he opened the door, Warisha bumped onto him and both of them fell down.
All my anger disappeared when I saw history repeating itself.

The Ruined Monks of Rothfield Monastery
Erin is the youngest member of the dark monks; a supernatural brotherhood whose ultimate mission is to improve the dire circumstances of poor, war-torn villages using powers unique to each member. Or so he was led to believe. Erin, like his brothers, does not age, and that is, unfortunately, the only trait he shares with them. He cannot charm or compel like Woodrow, he cannot cast illusions like Knox, he was not swift like Swithin, not powerful like Blake. He was barely an assistant to his dear brother Wilbur, with his herbology and alchemy. He was told to lie low and make himself scarce. That is what he did. The dark monks temporarily reside in abandoned monasteries scattered around the country, feeding the poor and healing the sick, nurturing the monastic lands until it was fertile enough to raise crops and rear animals. As the years passed, they would leave these reformed, repopulated, self-sustaining monasteries and venture froth to help the next settlement. Yet, after years of toiling and quiet servitude, Erin notices that people and the country itself are declining. The villagers look gaunt, the once-lush soil now barren and cracked. He begins to feel disheartened, thinking that their mission is proving futile. Still, their leader Blake is steadfast and charges onward, and lately has his eyes set on a certain monastery in a thick, thorned forest that seems to diminish, even nullify their powers. A thick forest that Erin somehow has a connection to. A thorned glade where an ethereal voice calls his name with one simple request along with a promise:Heal the land, child. Heal the land and I promise to give you sanctuary so long as you stay. I promise to nurture you as you nurture me. As Erin cultivates the land, the land, in turn, gifts all its caretakers with new, enhanced skillsets on top of their unique powers -- skills of protection, healing, and magic. Magic. Erin had long wished to see the world fill with it again. The people, regardless of common or noble blood, still believe that magic will enter this world again. Magic to bless the king like it did the Saints. Magic to dispel the miasma befouling the world. Magic to bring back the fae folk and their many forms. It is up to Erin to forge the many paths leading to a bright future; to build a prosperous paradise that welcomes all races and bloodlines, by mastering the rewards gained through agriculture, horticulture, and animal husbandry, smithing, crafting, and fishing. Erin may also find a lifelong friendship and romance with his neighbor, Claude, if he decides to pursue him, and may even join him in the military campaign outside the monastery. The darkness still lurks outside, after all, and the mastery of his skills, along with a few good friends, may finally be enough to turn the tide in their favor. Most of all, Erin wants to keep the vow he set for himself: to protect everyone and everything he loves until his dying breath.
