–I'm going to kill you. –I said at Seb, who was about to leave the make up trailer. I just hope Y/n doesn't think I like her after that video I sent her.

–You're welcome, lover boy! –he said closing the door but soon after it was opened again.

–Morning, Evans.

–Hey, Chris.

–Hey, girls. –I mumbled to Scarlett and Elizabeth, who sat next to me. I couldn't speak properly since the make up artist was doing her magic and applying some fake injuries on my face.

–I love this girl, Y/n. She's so funny! –said Lizzie.

–She is. –I agreed, smiling unconsciously.

–So, first things first. Is she dating someone? –asked Scarlett.

–I don't know...

–She isn't but there's this boy who clearly likes her, he always comments on her posts. His name is Charlie Puth, he goes to Berklee but takes a couple classes at Boston Uni and that's how he met Y/n. –Lizzie said looking at her phone and Scarlett and I, turned to see her clearly shocked. I could see that even the make up artists were surprised but tried to hide it.– What? –she asked lifting her shoulders after realizing we all were staring at her.– As soon as Scar asked for my help I started doing some research.

–Told you she'd be a great addition to our plan. –Scarlett said.

–What plan? –I asked once again and the both of them rolled their eyes and said "ugh, men" in unison, just like Scarlett had texted me last night.

–To get the girl!

–Now we know you have at least one opponent so we have to move fast. Have you talked to her since yesterday? –Scarlett took my phone and unlocked it pretty easily. I didn't know she had the password to it.

–Hey! How do you know my password? –I said snatching the phone from her hands.

–It's Dodger's adoption day. And that dog is like the most precious thing you have so it was easy to put two and two together. –she was now the one lifting her shoulders.– Why so defensive? Do you have your nudes there or what? –she joked but I chocked and started coughing since I was sipping coffee when she said that.

–Ew! –they both said.

–I don... don't.

–No, no, it's too late now. –said Scarlett looking somewhere else and Lizzie just shook her head.

–Who did you send them to? –asked Scarlett with a smirk on her face.

–Okay, are you in a sort of relationship with someone? Because then it won't be fair to try to start something with Y/n.

–No, no. I'm not talking to or seeing anyone at the moment. And I didn't send it to anyone, I just took it.

Their stares let me know they didn't believe me. By the way I said it I wouldn't have believed me either but I was being honest. It took me a while to convince them of this and after they dropped it, I let them read the conversation I just had with Y/n. They kept nodding, ocassionally smiling and saying things like "okay...", "good, good".

–Damn, Seb. –they laughed.

–Okay, probably she already suspects you might like her but we're not a hundred percent sure of that.

–Yeah, I agree with Liz, however, probably she likes you too. But it's obvious that both of you are only starting the flirty getting-to-know-each-other friendship. Before we proceed, with what you know about her, could you see a future with her? Are you interested in pursuing a relationship with her?

–I don't know...

–I think you do. –said Lizzie.– You're just afraid.

–I'm not afraid.

–Oh, you are. If I were in your position I would be... –Scarlett said this time.

–Yeah, we are in the public eye, everyone will keep on commenting about it and probably there'll be judgy people. Plus you don't know what her parents will think about it. And...

–Okay, okay, we're trying to encourage him, Lizzie, not the opposite.

–True... Sorry, Chris.

Someone came to get Elizabeth since she was called to shoot a scene. She gave me a quick hug and left the make up trailer. Scarlett and I stared and each other and sighed. The make up artists finished doing my face and left us alone since Scar was already in her costume.

–I think Lizzie's right but mostly I think you're afraid of getting into another relationship that might fail and losing time. You're getting older, want a family and still haven't found someone who is right for you.

–I hate that you know me so well...

–Take the risk. I have a good feeling about her. –she said side hugging me and kissing the top of my head. She got up and walked to the door of my trailer.– And just be yourself, you're doing great. Ask her out before the other guy does.

She closed the door and I started thinking about everything they said. I really liked her, I haven't felt about a girl like this in a long time, I was getting older and I just didn't seem to get close to finding the love of my life and starting a family with her. But my imagination and hope came back as soon as I met her, she was just great and gorgeous and intelligent and funny.

I got up, took my phone and went to my trailer to change into the Captain America costume. Once I finished, I grabbed a bottle of water, my script and went straight to where the Russo's were, I was about to shoot a scene. Everyone was there alongside their stunt doubles. I reached out to where Chris Pratt was, he was a good friend of mine and I felt like he could help me out as well. Also I remembered that he was a Christian so maybe he could enlighten me in a different way the girls would.

–Hey, man.

–What's up, Evans? –he replied excited and we hugged quickly.

–Wow, I sometimes forget how much people act in these movies.

–Yeah, and now that we're shooting the end scenes, everyone's here and it's crazy, man.

–Yeah... –I nodded and waited a few seconds before talking again.– I wanted to talk to you about something.

–Sure, sure.

–It's about a girl...

–Oh, I see –he put his arm around my shoulders and guided me to where it was less crowded.

–He said he wanted to show me something.

–You need to be more specific because my mind goes to dirty places if you don't specify.

–Ew, Grace... He didn't say anything more but I'm really hoping it's nothing like what you're thinking about.

–I was kidding, knowing him, he probably is going to do something cheesy.

–Oh no...

–What?

–I'm bad at all that cheesy stuff, when someone does something cute for me I cringe, I don't know why.

–Because you've never had someone you actually like say and do cheesy things, you've only had the obsessed weirdos be cheesy with you.

–Wow, you should be the one studying psychology.

–I'm amazing, I know. –she winked.

When the clock struck 12 o'clock I sighed and got up from the desk I was sitting on, knowing Charlie would probably already be outside. He was always on time. I picked up my stuff while saying goodbye to Grace and then headed outside the classroom.

Charlie was indeed outside my classroom, leaning on the wall in front of the door. When he saw me, he stood up straight and we both walked towards each other. We hugged quickly and I kissed his cheek, greeting him.

–Hey.

–Hi.

–Ready? –he asked, giving me his arm so that we could lock arms together.

–Uhh... sure? –I wrapped my arm with his and we started walking.– What do you want to show me?

–You'll see, it's kind of a secret.

–Can you give me a hint?

–Don't you like surprises? –he looked at me, chuckling.

–Not really, they make me anxious. –I said a bit ashamed.

–Well, I can only tell you that where I want to take you it's at Berklee. –he said, opening the passenger door of his car for me.

–Okay...

I smiled intrigued and mumbled a soft "thanks" while getting in the car. He closed my door, walked to the driver's door and got in the car. We started catching up and doing some small talk, it wasn't a long way to Berklee. Once we arrived, he opened the door for me and started giving me a little tour of the place. A few minutes later, we arrived at an empty classroom where there was only a piano and puffs on the floor.

–Okay, so I brought you here because there's this song that I've been working on. –he walked backwards while saying this and then sat on the piano stool.– I remembered you told me you used to play the piano and always wanted to write a song so... –he looked multiple times at me and the piano.

–Oh no, no, I'm so rusty, I stopped playing and taking lessons a long time ago...

–I can help you. And you're so creative, I know you can help me finish this song. –he got up and took my hands in his, making me blush a little.– Please... –he begged. I smiled and wrinkled my nose.

–Fine... –I said trying to sound defeated.

–Yes! –he said excitingly. We both sat down on the piano stool and I looked at him.

–Okay, so what do you got?

–Here. –he handed me some piano sheets that were clearly drafts since they had pen scratches all over.– It's about a couple who broke up and don't talk anymore but still get jealous about what the other is doing.

–Okay, I like it.

He started playing what he had written up until now, I was impressed by how he played the piano and how good this song actually was. I had never heard him

sing so when he started singing I was astonished as well, his voice was amazing...

"I just heard you found the one you've been looking

You've been looking for

I wish I would have known that wasn't me

'Cause even after all this time, I still wonder

Why I can't move on

Just the way you did so easily

Don't wanna know

Kind of dress you're wearing tonight

If he's holding onto you so tight

The way I did before

I overdosed

Should've known your love was a game

Now I can't get you out of my brain

Oh, it's such a shame"

–Wow... just wow... –I said.– How long have you been working on this?

–I started writing it on Friday, after you told me you were going to a club with Grace and Josh.

–Oh... I was thinking, what if we sang something like this for the chorus.

I suddenly became really nervous. I'm not gonna lie, being a singer was kind of a secret dream of mine but I had a bit of stage fright and sometimes became really shy when it came to singing in front of people. I started playing just a few chords while I sang. I looked at him from the corner of my eye and saw that he was writing something in the music sheets.

"We don't talk anymore

We don't talk anymore

We don't talk anymore

Like we used to do

We don't love anymore

What was all of it for?

Oh, we don't talk anymore

Like we used to do"

–I love it! –he said laying the music sheets on top of the piano.– See? I knew you'd be a great asset.

–It's just beginner's luck. –I said shaking my head and he grabbed my chin, making me look at him.

–It's not. You're so full of abilities you don't even know about. –his cheeks started to turn a little red.

–I remember my piano teacher telling me that exact same thing once... –I laughed.

–See? –he said turning back to the piano.– I'm not the only one who believes it. –he smiled, looking back at me.

We kept brainstorming and fooling around. We didn't feel time go by, we were having fun writing the song and hanging out. Charlie was laying on the floor, and I took advantage of the little break that we decided to take to try and remember the songs I used to play. I was so focused that I didn't notice when he got up and started either recording me or taking photos of me.

–Hey! –I said laughing and stopping, I raised one of my hands trying to reach the phone and cover my face.

–No! You were doing so great! –he sat next to me in the stool.– But look, you are really cute when you're focused. You look beautiful in these. –he showed me the pictures he took of me.– I mean, you always look beautiful... because you are... beautiful... Wow, I'm saying "beautiful" a lot, sorry... –he got nervous and started rambling, which was a cute.

I chuckled and grabbed his hand, making him stop talking. My eyes traveled from his eyes to his lips and he slowly started leaning in to kiss me. We were a few millimeters away from locking our lips when my phone started ringing, making us jump awkwardly away from each other.

The atmosphere suddenly felt tense and weird. I shook my head, getting up and heading for my phone. I was so confused by what just happened and trying to act quickly that I didn't see who was calling, I just answered.

–Hola?

–Y/n, hey... –I felt my heart stop when I recognized his voice

–Oh, hi Chris. –I said hugging myself with my free arm and walking towards a corner of the room where a window was. I realized it was already dark outside.

–I don't know if this is weird but I was thinking, would you like to... I don't know, maybe...

Oh my God, was he going to ask me out? What are you thinking Y/n? It's Chris Evans you're talking about. But why did he sound nervous? Maybe he had bad reception...
