Milo in the mm. 😇

Wednesday
Omniscient
Milo waited patiently in the waiting room of his therapists office, this would be his second session he normally goes twice a week. The office was cold as the air conditioning ran so he made sure to wear something comfortable.
"I don't understand why we have to do this. I think we're fine." That was Zane speaking, he didn't like the idea of therapy.
"For once I agree. They don't understand us. No one does." Jaxon replied as Milo shook his head not wanting to mumble something under his breath because there were other people in the waiting room.
"Milo." His therapist Brianna called for him, standing up he followed behind her to her office.
"Would you like a blanket?" She smiled allowing him to go in first.
Milo shook his head and sat down on the small couch, he began to play with the ends of his sweater showing that he was becoming nervous. She put on her glasses and grabbed her notepad.
"Let's get started then, how are you this afternoon?"
"I'm ok." He mumbled still playing with the ends of his shirt.
"Just ok? How've you been sleeping? Did you eat today?"
Milo stared down at the floor, the truth was that he wasn't sleeping at all, he was actually coming down from a period of Hypomania which is basically meant that his mood was somewhat elevated or at least that's what he thought.
Milo sighed and glanced at the magazines on the table. "You mind?"
"Oh no go ahead." She smiled as he grabbed the magazine and flipped through a few pages. "I haven't been sleeping much and as far as eating I'm good on that." He chuckled as she wrote her notes.
"Any nightmares? The last time we spoke you were still having them."
Milo furrowed his eyebrows as his body began to feel fuzzy, he blinked slowly and began to stare off at the floor. He didn't like talking about the nightmares.
"Is someone else coming forward Milo?"
"Mhm." He said slowly as he closed his eyes, a few seconds later he opened them and scanned the room until his eyes landed on Brianna.
"Good afternoon."
"What's up doc?" He smirked slouching in the chair, when he noticed what he was wearing he scoffed. "Damn, I told him not to wear this."
"Can you introduce yourself to me? I know you're not Milo right now." She said fixing her glasses.
"Jax... Jaxon." He said nonchalantly.
"Well it's nice to meet you Jaxon. Milo and I were talking about something and you came forward. Can you tell me why?"
"He doesn't like to talk about the nightmares... He gets nervous so I had to step up since no one else wants to." He shrugged.
"Oh well, then I apologize, we'll discuss something else. How's college going?"
"It's straight I guess... College is college."
"You're very nonchalant. Why?"
Jaxon chuckled a little. "This is just how I approach things. I don't freak out or get stressed. I'm almost everything that Milo isn't."
"Oh okay, so in a way you protect him from bad things?"
"Sometimes I do... And sometimes I don't."
"That's interesting Jaxon.. Are you going to allow anyone else to come forward?"
Jaxon rolled his eyes and continued slouching in the chair. "I guess if you want." He shrugged. "Who'd you wanna talk to?
"It doesn't matter. Whoever wants to be heard."

"Let me. Let me. Please." The was Zane causing Jaxon to scoff. "Aight I guess you'll talk to Zane then."
Brianna nodded and waited for Jaxon to switch. A few seconds later a genuine smile formed across his face.
"Hey Dr. Brianna. I'm Zane." He said sitting up straight in the chair. "I always tell Jax not to slouch it's not polite."
"It's fine."She chuckled at how positive his mood had become. He was so eager to speak about almost anything.
"So before you came forward Jaxon and I were talking about college."
"Yo college is amazing. Yesterday we went to study and we ran into this really beautiful girl named Anya. I'm not one for these sessions though.. Don't really think we need this."
"Well I'm just here to help that's all, And how did that go?"
"Well at first we were really nervous and Milo didn't want to talk, so then Jaxon took over and we ended up leaving, but later in the day we saw her and Sai took over then everything was great." He smiled as Brianna jotted a few notes down.
"That's good. I'm glad it went well for you guys. Who's Sai?"
"He's another part of us...He's really shy though and doesn't come out much." Zane shrugged.
"Would he come out for a few minutes just to talk to me?" She questioned.
I guess I can come out.
"Yes. He'll come out but he doesn't plan on staying long."
"That's alright. I just wanna introduce myself." She said as Zane nodded, it took Sai a little longer to come forward but he looked around the room and bit his bottom lip.
"Can I have a blanket please?"
"Of course." Brianna said grabbing a blanket from the shelf behind her and handing it to Sai.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome.. I'm Brianna and it's nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you too." Sai mumbled as he looked around the room. "This is a really big office."
"I like a lot of space."She chuckled. "How are you feeling today?"
"Not too sure how to answer that really. I mean I'm alive." He sighed running his hand down his face.
"Grateful for that of course. You seem really reserved and quiet. Not like the others." She said as he nodded.
"Yeah. I only came out because you wanted me to but now I just wanna go back in. I don't really like talking."
"It's ok. You can let one of the other guys come forward,we'll talk next time." She smiled as he put his head in his hands and sighed.
"Ugh. Can someone else switch please? Damn." He mumbled as his leg shook. No one was coming forward.
"No ones coming. I don't want to be out here. Someone please just switch already for God's sake." He said becoming irritated.
"Hey. We'll wait together." She said sitting beside him, a few seconds later he lifted his head up, he furrowed his eyebrows and scooted his chair over a little.
"Why you so close doc?"
"I'm sorry Jaxon." She knew right away. "Sai needed some comforting so I was just-"
"Nah he's cool on all that. No need for comfort. Are we done here? I have class in an hour."
Brianna looked at the clock, they had about twenty minutes left but the look on Jaxon's face said otherwise.
"If you'd like to be done for the day, then we're done for the day. I'll see you next week." She smiled as he let himself out the room.

Jaxon made his way over to campus for his math and english class. He was hoping to run into Anya but brushed the thought off, after grabbing a snack from the vending machine he sat in the back of the class in his normal seat.
He had taken his medicine but broke it in half earlier in the morning although he was suppose to take the whole pill. He just hated how numb it made him feel, hearing the door open he was surprised to see Anya, she noticed him right away and made her way to where he was sitting.
"Hey Milo." She smiled as Jaxon looked over and stale faced her causing her smile to fade. "Wrong one. I'm Jaxon today." He mumbled.
"I'm sorry. I'm still getting used to this." She whispered as their professor put some notes on the board for them to jot down.
Jaxon glanced at her a few times, he thought she was cute, clearing his throat he turned to face her since their professor had left the room for a few minutes.
"So what you got going on after class?" He questioned soon slouching in the chair like normal.
"I'm not sure. Probably nothing." She said highlighting the important notes in her notebook. It was silent before Jaxon spoke up again.
"You wanna go grab a bite to eat?"
"You're gonna pay right Jax?"
"Duh no shit." He mumbled which caused Anya to look at him.
"Did you say something?" She questioned looking over at him.
He shook his head and continued taking notes. He didn't mean to talk to himself out loud.
"To answer your question, yes. I'm hungry. I forgot to eat breakfast this morning." She chuckled at he smirked a little.
"Cool." He said looking at her.
Anya smiled before focusing on whatever their professor was saying, after their classes ended for the day they headed over to Vinnie's Pizza for something to eat, it was within walking distance of the campus.
They sat in a booth across from one another, their waitress brought them their drinks and took their orders.
"Where are you from?" Anya asked twirling the straw in her cup of Sprite.
"Virginia.. Nothing special there." He shrugged.
"That's cool. I have family there I think." Anya smiled as the waitress brought out their pizza.
"The only people that stay there are my grandparents." Jaxon said looking out the window.
"Oh. Do your parents live here?"
"Nah.." He shrugged. "They passed a few years back.. Car accident."
Anya tucked her bottom lip between her teeth. "Oh wow, I'm sorry to hear that."
"Nah you're good. People die everyday. Ain't shit to be sad about." He said in his usual nonchalant tone.
Anya glanced out the window before looking over at him, he was staring her but when she looked he didn't stop staring.
"What? Something on my face?"
"Nah. Just looking.. You should go ahead and eat." He said motioning for her to take the first slice.
"You're not hungry?" She asked taking a slice of pizza and putting in on her plate.
Yes. Eat Jax. "Nah I'm cool on that. I'll take some home. I don't live too far from here anyway." He sighed before staring down at the table.
Anya wiped her mouth with a napkin and stood up, she sat by his side and watched him. "It's ok.. I'm right here.." She whispered, a few seconds later a look of confusion was showing on his face.
"Oh hey Anya." He smiled shyly. "It's Zane." His face turned red when she smiled.
"Are you ok?" She asked as he nodded taking a sip of his Cherry Coke.
"Yeah I'm as cool as a cucumber." He laughed as she chuckled shaking her head.
"You're funny." She said letting her laughter die down.
"I'm the life of the party Anya trust me. I'm way more outgoing than the average person. I mean who's really average anyway?" He laughed.
"You're right about that." She said gathering her trash so that they could leave.
"I wish more people understood us though." He said walking out of the building with Anya, he held the door open for her allowing her to go out first.
"You don't think people understand you?"
He shook his head. "I guess society automatically calls a person crazy because their different."
"Well I don't judge others."
"I can tell. You seem to care although you know nothing about us." He shrugged as they sat on the bench near her dorm.
The sun was setting and he needed to get home for his next dosage. They had been at the pizza place for a while just talking and getting to know each other. Zane noticed that Anya really wanted to help others regardless of their mental state. It made them feel good to know that someone cared.
Zane sat with his arm draped across them arm rest of the bench. "Want me to walk you to your dorm?"
"If you want. You don't have to it's not that far of a walk."
"I just wanna make sure you're safe. That's ok alright? If not then-"
"It's fine Zane. No worries, come on." Anya smiled and stood up from the bench. She thought it was cute how Zane was so caring and concerned about her safety.
"You've been out long enough Zane. It's my turn." Milo said while they walked to Anya's dorm room. She unlocked the door with her key and gave him a hug.
"Thanks for the pizza. I'll see you later." She smiled before he gave her a head nod as he walked away.
Milo noticed the artwork that was on her door and thought about asking her who'd drawn it but he'd wait until another day.
Making his way to where his car was parked he got in and started the engine, he sighed and ran his hand down his face before pulling out of the parking lot.
"Do we really need another dosage?" Jaxon grimaced. "Yes we do. You know what happens when we don't." Milo said out loud since he was alone.
"Well I don't think we need it. let's skip it tonight. You'll be fine."
"I can't. I don't want to." He said shaking his head as he pulled up to his apartment.
"Skip it just this once.. What's the worse that could happen?... Hm?" Milo closed his eyes for a few seconds, it had been a while since he skipped a dosage and hated how things turned out without it, but Jaxson was convincing him that nothing would happen.
"Fine.. Just this once." He mumbled cutting the engine and getting out of the car.
Jaxon laughed. "Now the fun can really start."
Once Milo was inside he locked the door behind him. he jogged up the steps to his room and showered. The hot water relaxed his body as he cleaned himself and his hair, once he finished he threw on some red sweatpants and a white t-shirt, he sent a text to Anya letting her know he'd gotten home safely before laying across his bed.
Feeling himself becoming sleepy he closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep, hoping that him actually listening to Jaxon wasn't a mistake.
——
"Wait what's his name?" Camren asked as Anya set her phone down on the table. She was getting for bed when her best friend called to check on her. They attended the same college but she was out of town.
"His names Milo, You'll meet him when you come back., speaking of when are you coming back anyway?" She ask putting the phone on speaker.
"I'll be back on Friday. I missed you and my grandma is fine."
Camren had been gone due to a family emergency, she been gone for about 2 weeks. "Is he cute?" Camren giggled on the other end of the phone.
"I can't wait I feel like such a loaner since you've been gone, but yes he's cute... Very cute. He lives off campus though." Anya said laying down in her bed, her phone vibrated with a text from Milo.
Milo-Hey..Um it's Sai..Milo was too nervous to text you..We made it home. I hope you sleep good. 🙂.10:34pm
She smiled at the text and sent a reply before hearing Camren call her name.
"I'm sorry boo. I was texting but I'll call you in the morning." She said as Camren smacked her teeth.
"I leave for a few weeks and you get a new best friend."
"Don't be like that Cam. I'm just really tired."
"I'm only joking boo. You sleep good. I'll see you Friday. Love ya."
"Love you too Cam." She said as they disconnected the call. She got into bed and reached over to cut off the lamp, it didn't take her long to fall asleep.

1:30am
Milo's own screaming caused him to jump from his sleep, he was sweating and tried his best to regulate his breathing. Standing up from the bed he stumbled to the bathroom and cut on the light.
Shhh, it's ok. Relax Milo. It was just a dream, take deep breaths.
He leaned against the sink as he sat on the toilet seat cover and took a few deep breaths to calm down. Once he was calm enough he stood up and grabbed the medicine bottle from the cabinet and poured out two pills. He stared at them before popping them into his mouth as they dissolved. He cut off the light and got back into bed.
"I'm not going to class tomorrow." He mumbled before turning over and looking out the window at the moonlight shined into his bedroom, becoming frustrated he turned over on his back and stared at the ceiling.
"If you don't go we won't see Anya.. We like her." Milo sighed and pulled the covers over his head. "I'm not going. Leave me alone."
"You're acting like Jaxon."
"I'm not Jaxon so shut up." He muttered.
"You need something to relax you even further.. Do you still have our stash?" Jaxon questioned referring to the stash of weed that he had in a drawer.
Sitting up from the bed Milo went over to his sock drawer, opening it up he saw a pre rolled joint and a lighter, shaking his head he took them both out as he sat on his bed and lit the joint. Taking a few pulls made him more high than he was used to being.
Once he was finished he laid across his bed with his hands behind his head as he was finally able to drift off into a deep slumber.

The Cyclical Nature of Time
A girl’s life ends unexpectedly early, or so it would seem. Instead of eternal nothingness, she wakes up in an empty valley with no clue how she got there. Taking her predicament in stride, she sets out to do something about it. Unfortunately for her, the first couple of people she meets aren’t much help. They claim they haven’t heard of electricity and dress as if they were on a break from their job at a Viking-themed amusement park. MC is a somewhat normal girl. She's pragmatic and not very angsty. The story is tagged with anti-hero, but to be clear, she is not a villain. She does good if she can, she just isn't morally motivated to do so. The story starts out smelling of fantasy but will eventually shift towards sci-fi. It contains some supernatural elements and has a strong lead, but it is not your usual power trip. Expect a story that takes its time, but not to the point where entire chapters are spent on mindless chit-chat. I’m not into that. This is my first serious attempt at writing and I've learnt a lot writing this. Unfortunately, that shows. Chapter 1-10 is slow and rather pointless. Things get better, but it is not until chapter 25 or so that I began understanding how to structure chapters and to make them support the larger story. I publish about 3000 words a week (every sunday) but I write about 10000 words a week. Sticking to that pace, which is easy, the last chapter will be out by July.
