I thought I already knew who I am,
But then recent situation had appeared.
Hinging my mind with so much damn,
That it broke the person I built inside.
It's like being back to what I used to be,
It's like being caged with inferiority.
I was so sure that this is the real me,
Yet I forgot that my old self is still alive.
It was just hidden beneath my soul,
Waiting for the door to open.
Watching me kill its existence,
It was just quiet still, grinning like a devil.
It slipped through my arrogant side,
Waking my flaws and insecurities.
A wave of anxiety it hide,
Revealed itself obscuring my abilities.
I broke and shattered back to the old me,
Floating into the midst of anxiety.
Swimming through the depth of insecurity,
And now I'm lost... yet again.

And everything else that's included. It follows the main characters, as they climb to the top of their society. And lose their humanity in the process to become something beyond human. It's settled in the same universe as Until death?. It can be seen as a prequel. But I plan for it to be a stand alone book. Nobody has to read Until death? in order to enjoy Transcendence?. There will be cool chapters, sad chapters, romantic chapters and funny chapters. Of course there will be boring chapters too. I believe that some explanation is necessary in every novel. Though I hope that there will be more funny chapters. How a chapter turns out always depends on my mood.

Vincent Standish had faced a lot of disappointments during the last five years. But things were finally starting to look up for him and in a big way too. While working the late shift at his second part time job, as a cashier in a gas station, on a whim he bought a lottery ticket which had a jackpot that had grown extremely large. Three days later he was astonished to find that he was one of three lottery winners. With that money he was able to retire, when he had been afraid that he would be forced work until the day that he died, or worse yet living in a cardboard box if he lost his two paltry paying jobs. Vincent soon found forty acres of land and quickly had his simple and robust dream home constructed. Disappointed in people, it was his avowed goal to be a hermit and shun the world. Too bad for his dreams that only a year after winning the lottery, all of humanity started seeing colored text messages before their very eyes, messages that warned of dire things to come.

But below the surface, he was in agony. Gong Lu could not live the life he had to with happiness, and deep down, the genius regretted his intelligence. He detested the fact that he could scheme and trick, abhorred the ruthlessness that came with power. And so, he died with regrets. Despite unifying the world under one flag, despite mitigating discrimination, poverty, and dissent, despite crushing all conspiracies under his unfathomable mind, Gong Lu's last words were: "If I could start again..." And so he did. Gong Lu swore that in this life, that he would not scheme or fool. They said that tricks were useless before absolute power. And this was what he wanted. This was what he would achieve. Release schedule: One chapter every Thursday and Sunday, will likely post chapters late in the day.
