After I have met with Bruce Wayne, it was strangely confusing to me. He was acting a bit odd as well. The thought of seeing him before didn't escape my mind, yet I have no clue how that would've been possible. I wasn't the only one who had the crazy idea in my head; the look in Bruce's eyes were so obvious, that he felt the same. I don't want to put too much pressure on it, but it sure as hell didn't make any sense.

He's a billionaire, and if I have to put it specifically; how on earth would a billionaire know me? That's one in a million type of occasions.

It's around 11:40 as I'm walking towards the club. Katherine made sure to let me know it's going to be booked today, she told me a little bit about who it's going to be. Carmen and the rest of the D'A's are joining tonight in the 44 below, which is the worst area around the club.

44 below shouldn't be taking lightly. If anything, it's probably the only place where I least wanted to go. It's part of my job serving drinks and making sure my customers feels comfortable, but I sure as hell wasn't. One time a guy asked me to sit on his place, and at first I refused, but penguin came downstairs and I could see the glance in his eyes, that I didn't have a choice. The most uncomfortable thing I've ever let a man do to me, was touching up on my body. I'm glad it didn't go anywhere, but regardless it didn't make it any better.

I never spoke to Carmen before. A lot of people has been talking about him from the iceberg lounge, where I usually stay. Christina, one of the dancers in the club told me stories about him; he killed a journalist to protect Thomas Wayne from letting his secrets come out. I wanted to know more about those 'secrets' but Christina didn't know it herself.

However, Katherine had a different opinion about him; a psychopath was the word she labeled him. She told me to stay away from him completely based on his criminal record from violence and corruption, to killing innocent people; example Jenny. Yet she also warned me not to tell anyone. I made sure to ask why but she told me we'll discuss about it when we walk downstairs.

As I arrive to the club and head my way inside the Lounge, the sound from the music is loud enough to hear from the main door. There's a specific way how to get in; you'll have to give a code to one of the twins. The twins are the ones who guarding the door and makes sure whose allowed to join, who isn't. Penguin was the one who named them as twins, because they have identical genes and facial appearance. However what stood out to me was the bruises and the swollen eyelids. They only became visible to me after Batman was here.

I walk upstairs and greet the other girls before leaving my belongings before trailing my way off. Katherine is waiting for me next to the elevator, which is the only way down to 44 below. Once I appear close enough, she quickly tug me in for a hug till we step into the elevator, as she taps onto the button. She starts up the conversation to warn me about everything I need to know, as well as discussing the consequences.

"Be aware of Carmen if he walks up to you, just smile and do as he says. If any of the D.A's told you some things that has been done privately between them, do not say a single word. It will cost you. Pretend nothing happened." Katherine said almost demanding, as she adds her black gloves; her signature ones.

"Alright" is the only way I would respond, it isn't possible to back down by then.

"And remember," Katherine mutters before taking a deep breath. "Do not give them a weird expression., they truly get fired up." I nod, swallowing pretty hard by then.

As the elevator comes to our destination, the metallic door automatically opens. Katherine steps out as she holds onto my hands, taking the lead in front of me through the dark hallway. There's two guards on each corner beside the main door, asking for the code. Katherine digs her hand into her pocket and shows a black chip, made in carbon; my attention is immediately focusing on it, but not up until one of the guards opens the door. 44 below; the atmosphere is completely different compare to the iceberg lounge upstairs. The smell of tobacco mix with sweaty feet instantly hit through my nostrils. Everyone is wandering around with girls under their arms, giggling and laughing about god knows what. However Katherine is right, the entire D.A's are down here. It's pretty easy to tell when the entire crew is wearing formal clothes, probably smells like alcohol by now. One the dancers, Michelle is stripping nakedly onto the pole as she sways to the music. A couple of men is throwing money at her direction as she flashes a smile. I take a deep breath for what's worth a dime.

This isn't my area. I normally stay at the Iceberg lounge which isn't as bad as you would expect. The Iceberg lounge is all about dancing and doing god knows what, but drugs and having intercourse isn't allowed up there. However down here, you could do whatever you please.

Unfortunately they needed me. Three girls decline joining the 44 below because of their own experience down here. I wouldn't have joined it if it wasn't for Katherine being with me. She normally work around this area, which made sense how violently she could be towards men.

Katherine and I part our ways and greet everyone with kindness. I quickly walk up to the bar and grab a couple of bottles that I was signed to do. Jimmy, the bartender behind the bar, informs me which tables to fill up on; and so I did.

I manage to go from tables to tables without any problems, up until I reach to a familiar person i have seen on the TV; Gil Colson. He throws his hand in the air to catch my attention, motioning it to come over to his table. However he isn't alone, there's a couple of men sitting beside him.

"Hey, why don't you sit here?" He says nervously, almost uncomfortable having to ask me. I peek over at Katherine, but she seems to be busy entertaining a different table. I shrug and glance at him again, flashing a innocent smile as I agree to it.

I sit across from him and places the bottle I have in my hands, on the middle of the table. All the other men are eagerly staring at my legs, but I'm trying not to react.

Gil hold his palm out to me, waiting for a handshake. I swallow pretty hard till I shake it, continuing to smile at him. He greets himself to me and we end up having a small talk till it trails off to a complete different subject. Gil starts talking about the governments control about money laundering, it stir up my anxiety the way he explains how much power the D.A have over over the city. Katherine is right once again.

"And sometimes I wonder if it matters in the end, you know? To take over Gotham in total." He mumbles with a small smile. It's evident he's been drinking a lot before I walked in. "If it works, of course. I am not trying to push it down to it." Gil let out a chuckle.

"Yeah of course." I nod at him, although I haven't been paying attention to the entire conversation. My mind is wandering somewhere else, meanwhile he is babbling about god knows what.

The only subject I took notice of, was the politics government. He sticks to the conversation for about fifteen minutes, and what the consequences could be if they took over. However it's not something you hear on a daily basis, definitely not when it comes to corruption: and knowing it's your own government whose against you, is terrifying.

Gil is holding onto a plastic bag but reaches it towards me, assuming it's drops. "Can you hold it for me?" I slowly nod and grasp onto it. He points onto the bag, asking me if I want any; but I simply decline.

Suddenly Carmine walks in and Gil glances at the door, his attention catches mine. I peek up a little and finally see him for the first time. Falcone takes the time to analyze the area for himself before he finds a table to sit, and of course he isn't alone. He did have other police officers with him, knowing they are here for a fun time.

Carmine is elderly around his fifties, based on his wrinkles creasing around the lips, and the appearance of lines around his forehead; yet he still have some sort of youthful in-between. His silvery hair color is matching with his lampshade mustache. He's wearing a black wool trench coat with matching black pants and loafers, along with noticeable red sunglasses to hide his agenda. His facial expression is completely set with a small grin, almost hard to read if wether he is enjoying his time - yet intimidating to be around.

Penguin comes up to me and kneels down, gently tapping his finger on my forearm as I my eyes darts to him. His scar and the golden tooth takes the attention for me. "Grab a few bottles sweetheart, Falcone and his people are here. They are the big ones, alright? and throw a little entertainment." he says enthusiastic with a raspy voice, pointing at the officers. I take a deep breath, nodding a bit.

My arm stretches towards Gil, leaving him the tiny plastic bag of pills he told me to hold. However he asks me to come back with a sad tone parting his lips; pretty much lie to him and told him I'll try. I manage to walk up to the bar, grabbing a couple bottles from Jimmy, and head my way to Carmen and the officers. The moment I stand in beside the table and greet myself to Carmen, his attention is already gazing on one of the female dancers.

I fill the glasses instead and proceeds to greet the officers, one of them start to caressing my ass. Luckily enough my dress is covering it, I couldn't help the feeling of being uncomfortable -

forcing a to smile. My eyes is back on Carmine, hoping he would continue to stare at Michelle stripping around the pole; but his eyes meets mine all of a sudden, a seductive grin is spreading across his lips. "I seen you around the iceberg lounge, we just never spoke before." His voice is rough.

I nod and smile innocently at him. "I'm Star."

We always use fake names we have made in the club, incase they try to find us for future reference or stalk us back home. It happened before to one of the girls.

"Come here." Carmen says, patting the palm of the hand onto the side of his lap. I start to be hesitant as I slowly places the bottle down, yet not moving a muscles; but he instantly furrows his eyebrows at me.

"I said come here." he says it again but demanding as his voice turns lower. I bite onto tongue and continue to hold back a little. Somehow I wish Katherine is here, but I didn't see her anywhere near us. it also reminds me what she said; he is dangerous and I do not want to be on his bad side. He could potentially get me killed if anything, but sitting on his lap is scary enough.

Before I could make any movements towards him, one of the guard walks up to Carmen and leans over to him, whispering in his ear. I can't hear a thing since the music is loud, but his expression drops as he quickly get up from the couch before he marches his way to the door.

Am I curious? Yes. But I choose to stay put.

My nerves slowly relaxes as I motion back to the bar, and grab another bottle for the officers; since they insist to have a couple more. One of the police officers tries to speak to me when I appear back, filling up the bottles. However I simply flash him a smile.

The door flinches open and I hear the sound of laughter coming from Carmine. My attention immediately turns to him and notice he isn't alone anymore. He's dragging a person with him by holding onto their shoulder, insisting him stay in the lounge room.

"Come on, you came to ask me questions, right? Then enjoy it for the night. Don't be too serious." Carmen says jokingly, as he forces him towards the table. I try to look further at this person being pull by Carmen. He keeps his head low as his black hair blocks the view for me. Carmen points at the table forcing him along, and that's when he raises his head up.

Bruce Wayne.

I stare at him for a couple of seconds, trying to puzzle it together why he would be here; until he bob his head backwards and trails his eyes to the table. However, he is looking at me at this point.

Carmen sits next to the officers and forces Bruce to sit beside him. I could tell by his expression and his body language that he doesn't want to be here. His hands are folding together and the facial expression is completely cold.

"Aye, Star! Fill up a glass for my friend, will you?" Carmen says with a huge grin on his face, pointing at the glass.

"No thank you." Bruce says with no hesitation, but Falcone didn't take a no from anyone.

"Oh bullshit, you need some." Carmen insists. I glance at Bruce and he raises his eyes to look into mines. I didn't want to fill it up if he didn't want me to.

"Star, fill it up." I hear Carmen says with a deeper voice. I shrug a bit, and did what I'm told.

"Bruce, you need to loosen up a bit. When was the last time you had a woman to sleep with? Hm?" Carmen looks at Bruce as he slaps his shoulder before gripping it tightly.

Bruce shakes his head in denial. "No thank you, I prefer being alone."

"Ah, come on!" Carmen chuckled, as he looks up at me. "Look at her, isn't she beautiful?" He asks Bruce and takes the risk to smack my ass. I jump a little in surprise and almost drop the bottle, but I manage grip onto it tighter from letting it fall. Carmen simply laughs at me, but I could tell Bruce isn't entertained by it.

"Star, Bambi." Carmen says playfully and points onto Bruce's lap. "Come here. Show him how it feels to have a woman around."

I glance back at Bruce and notice his nostrils flares in annoyance. I didn't know what to do,

my body feels completely stiff from making any actions by now.

Carmen's eyebrow narrows as he looks back and forth on Bruce and I. "I said sit down Star, don't make it difficult now." Bruce gives me the signal; a small nod.

My body is trembling on the inside as I sit on him. My hands begin to shake, heart would palpitate while my skin flushes. I could feel myself getting hotter and more nervous as thoughts races through my head. They weren't connecting, but it feels like it's tying together, completely stuck. Carmen in the other hand is laughing for his own amusement. I sit there smiling awkwardly as Carmen is continuously talking about how Bruce needs a woman in his life.

The moment he looks away, I feel someone's arm wrap around my waist, causing me to take a quick. it's Bruce, he pushes me closer to him as I'm still sitting on him. Fear grows inside me, hoping it won't escalate from here on.

He rests his chin on my shoulder, pressing his lips closer to my ear.

"Let me know if you uncomfortable, I didn't want any of this to happen. "

Carmen quickly switch his focus back to us and peering at me, however he looks skeptical. I instantly need to make it look normal and nothing were said behind his back, if by any chance he were to do something.

I gently place my hand onto Bruce's grip and giggle lightly. "Thank you, you're so sweet".

Carmen scoffs a little, patting on Bruce's shoulder once again. "Your father would be proud."

In that moment I could feel Bruce's breath flare against my cheek. Something is bothering him, and it didn't take me a second to know what it is. Everyone knows who Bruce's father is. He is the founder of Wayne Enterprise. However he is dead, and they still haven't solved his father's death; it made sense why it triggers Bruce.

Without any hesitation, he immediately gets up from his seat which pushes me to get up as well, but he quickly hold around my waist carefully from of letting me fall over. I peek up at him and he looks at me for a second, before focusing his gaze on Carmen with a deadly expression glueing to his face.

"I have enough answers today, I have to go". He says with no emotions in his voice, immediately walks towards the door. My curiosity leaving with him.

I don't know what gotten into me, but I start to follow him. Penguin quickly glanced at me from the bar, furrowing his eyebrows in confusing, until switches to anger. "Where you going!?" The sound of him yelling didn't cause me to react, my eyes is fully focusing on Bruce walking away.

He reaches into the elevator till it shuts in front of me. My finger presses onto the button, eagerly waiting for it. It take a few minutes till it arrive and I quickly walk in, pressing onto the main floor. Once it finally comes to a stop, I run towards the exit with my heels tapping on each steps. Bruce is already outside but I manage to walk outside.

The cold air whips through my small figure, shivering a bit till the goosebumps appears back up. The temperature manage to make me shiver a bit, and also causes me to stop my movement.

My arms wraps around my small biceps, holding onto the heat that's producing from my body. "Wait!" I say out loud, hoping to catch his attention.

Bruce immediately stops his track and turns his attention at me, waiting for a response from me with steady expression.

"I don't know why I followed you.." I trail off and shrug a little. "I guess I trust you enough to walk with you. It probably sounds beyond weird, but you seem like somebody I know. Somebody I feel home with almost." There isn't any explanations I could give him. It wasn't an easy task to explain it any further.

For a second it gets quiet and he takes on a deep breath, exhaling it out as he folds his hands in his coat.

"Don't feel home when it comes to me. Stay away from me if I were you." He says with a deeper tone before disappearing into the alley.
