《Camp Closeted》2. Get Yourself a Daddy

I couldn't handle reading my DM's without gaining the urge to painfully cringe.

This is so ridiculous. I just deeply sighed to myself as the messages progressively got more hateful making me go to my settings and permanently deleting all of my social media. I then buried my phone into my pocket with an exhausted sigh.

"Mom, I don't think I'm ready. I look like a mess from crying yesterday and I've been stress eating. I feel like I'll be judged in that camp." I tiredly spoke as I ran my hand through my hair, proceeding to throw on my hoodie so people don't see how much of a washed up rat I look today.

My mom quickly replied as she turned the car engine on, the radio starting to play in the background. "You look fine, get over it. This camp is meant to be a place for you to be comfortable and meet people without having to worry about your outfit or how good you look. You'll be okay Micah." She threw me a small comforting smile, then finally beginning to drive.

"I hope you're right." I sighed deeply, dramatically looking out the car window as if I was in a sad music video.

I had noticed the time pass by as the city roads began to slightly transition. Thoughts ran through my mind as sides of the road progressively got more enveloped by mother nature. Tall evergreen trees stood high as my eyes met them, the car zooming through all the nature.

"Oh god." I couldn't help but close my eyes as we passed by a huge sign that said Camp Closeted, a large rainbow flag hanging by the side.

"Aren't you excited!" My mom exclaimed, smiling at the passing sign. "You're gonna meet so many new friends!"

"I'm really not that excited." I fixed my posture on the car seat to get a better look at my surroundings. "I just don't wanna feel like I'm in high school again, you know? That environment I mean."

My mom threw me a sincere glance. "This place is way different than your school Micah, I'm sure of it." She then took a quick break before speaking again. "Look, can I tell you something?"

"What is it?" I raised an eyebrow at her.

"You're gonna be living with 20 other guys for a very long time." She let out suspiciously. "And, I mean for a very long time." She added quietly, emphasizing on the very.

"Okay, what's your point?" I let out, my voice audibly drowned in confusion.

My mom filled the quiet with a long deep breath, proceeding to finally say what she wants to say. "Just promise me you'll use protection-" I quickly choked on air.

"Mom!" I tried to interrupt as I felt my cheeks heat up for some reason. "I'm not gonna be doing anything like that in a camp in the middle of the woods, what the hell!"

She nervously laughed as she clicked her mouth. "You never know! You could find another guy you might think that's attractive and stuff can happen."

"I swear I won't, stop!" I felt embarrassed for this subject being brought up, hoping the conversation was over and finally arrive and get this camp over with.

My mom just shamelessly laughed to herself. "I'm sorry Micah." Her eyes glanced at me and on the road. "Has anyone from school showed support after what Brandon did?"

I quickly winced. "No, and I'm okay with that. I don't need anyone's sympathy. I'm just going to be myself, and if they don't like it, I honestly don't care."

My mom threw me a proud smile as she nodded her head. "That's right. I love you Micah. I always want you happy."

"I love you too mom."

An awkward silence broke out as all our attention was snatched by the gorgeously shimmering lake appearing before us. Along the lake followed a huge log cabin that seemed like a large castle in the woods.

I couldn't deny the immense size and beauty this camp had to offer, even from afar the camp was gigantic.

Wow.

The road to the camp was complimented by colorful shrubs and flowers that blended well with the tall trees.

"This is where I drop you off." My mom clapped as I felt the car slowly stop, only making my heart begin to race.

"Where do I go." I squinted out the car window as I looked around the place that looked so luxurious. "I think I'm gonna get lost."

"Micah it says camp check in right there. All you have to do is walk in." My mom spoke, my eyes darting at the sign as I internally cried.

"Here we go." My voice cracked as I gulped, my mom throwing me huge smile.

"Go get yourself a daddy!" My mom yelled out, making me rapidly want to leave.

"Okay mom don't talk to me." I cringed, slamming the car door to silence my mom's loud cackle.

Be normal Micah. Don't be weird. Just stay cal-oh fuck my life.

I'm actually not ready for this camp, at all.

My heart dropped the second I walked into the camp check in lobby. I felt like I was about to pass out! The lobby was sleek and modern as it reeked of wood and pine cones which I didn't mind.

I unconsciously dropped one of my bags, my surroundings rapidly caving in as I looked at the huge array of people before my very eyes. This is not okay! How the hell is it even possible to have this many Calvin Klein models in a single room!

I awkwardly gathered myself as I walked towards the desk that had a woman sitting behind it, trying to ignore some of the eyes looking at me from the seats.

Please don't nosebleed please don't nosebleed.

Why did no one tell me most of these boys were going to look like actual angels? I could've at least tried not to look like a washed up rat today.

The lobby was insanely silent, the silence only being broken by me talking to the lady behind the desk.

"Welcome to Camp Closeted, what's your name?" She cheered as I felt myself begin to sweat.

Hot people make me so nervous for some reason and knowing all them are behind me isn't making it feel any better.

"Micah Vallenti." My voice came out softer as usual.

"Ah, here you are!" She spoke to her computer then looking at me. "Welcome to Camp Closeted! Just sit over there and the camp counselor will come and introduce you around the camp. Hope you have a great stay here!" She then politely gestured towards the seats behind me.

The second I turned around I could've sworn my spirit left my body. "Just don't look at them and you'll be okay, breathe!" I whispered to myself as I sat to the nearest empty seat.

Since all the seats were mostly filled I had to sit in between of two of the most gorgeously handsome guys I've ever seen in my life.

I looked down, avoiding all chances of eye contact. Both of their colognes mixed together, greeting my nose with such a spicy yet sweet scent.

This is too much to handle.

"You're sweating." A charmingly smooth voice spoke from my right, immediately making my whole body frozen.

Oh god human interaction! "M-me?" My eyes widened at him like a freak as I stuttered.

"Yea you. Are you okay?" He slightly chuckled.

This boy was heaven sent. His eyes were deep crystal blue, his skin was snowy white, and his slightly reddened cheeks went well with his black cloudy hair that looked so soft and attractively messy. "I-I'm fine, it's just hot in here I guess."

"Should I leave then?" He teased, slightly making me widen my mouth. "I'm just fucking around with you dude. My name's Jesse." He stuck out his hand for me to shake it.

His grip was strong yet mine was weak, only embarrassing myself further. "I-I'm Micah."

"Cute name." He spoke again, his voice sending waves of actual pleasure run through my ears. "First Micah I've ever met." He nodded.

"Thanks." I managed to throw him a small smile, trying to subtly wipe my sweat away.

I knew I looked tense sitting next to him. He was sitting back on the chair without any care while I was sitting up, awkwardly tapping the floor with my feet.

"You're new huh?" A voice from my left spoke, without a doubt catching me off guard. "Also don't talk to Jesse, he's the biggest fuck boy ever." I couldn't help but widen my eyes in shock at the person that was talking.

Jesse turned towards the guy to my left with a smirk. "Trevor shut up."

"I'm Trevor." He smiled at me as I tried to smile back. "I can tell you're nervous. You shouldn't be nervous at all. I remember being just like you and being so overwhelmed, but you learn to get used to it." What he said didn't help since they still made me pretty tense.

Jesse's voice got deeper as he whispered next to me, his shoulders brushing up against mine. "What brings you here anyway?" He casually asked.

I sighed before answering. "W-well I got outed at school and so here I am scared to face the attention for it." I shyly shrugged.

Trevor quietly gasped. "Wait did you go to Amphitrite?"

I nodded my head in response.

"Were you the guy that Brandon exposed?"

I nodded again but this time a lot slower and with my eyes closed.

"Holy crap, what an asshole." Trevor quietly let out, having a saddened tone in his voice. "I'm really sorry."

Just before Trevor could've continued, another voice had already caught all of our attention.

"Hello campers! Sorry for making all of you wait!" A small petite woman spoke out, fixing her clipboard and putting her glasses closer to her eyes. "Most of you already know me, for those who don't, I am your camp counselor Veronica Leigh! Welcome to the camp if your new, we're so excited to have you here! So go ahead and grab your things guys and come follow me." She cheered.

I took a deep breath, trying to collect my thoughts and my stuff.

I am officially not ready for this camp.

I WOULD'NT BE ABLE TO SURVIVE THIS CAMP IN REAL LIFE TBH LMAO.
