《Dark Lord》Chapter 33

Two weeks after that night, ShuYan still couldn't help but worry.
Right now, RuJin was accompanying ShuYan as they walked around the pavilion. The eyes of many other disciple's were staring at them, but they quickly looked away. They should already be used to this sight, but they still weren't yet.
As they slowly walked around the pond, a figure was walking towards them with fast footsteps.
"Lord, the sects have finally attacked. They have begun attacking the base of the mountain." Xue Yi, one of RuJin's commanding generals said to him as he bowed.
ShuYan looked at RuJin with troubling eyes, worried at the sudden news.
RuJin looked back, his eyes telling him not to worry.
"Xue Yi, get all disciple's above Rank Gold to assemble outside the pavilion. I want Five generals above Rank Black to command those disciples. And also, spread the poison of the Labyrinth. Use every ounce of energy you have to defeat those people. I want to see just how long they can last under the poison of the Labyrinth. I will come as soon as I'm ready." RuJin commanded Xue Yi, his eyes giving out a murderous aura, and his power seemed to soar.
"Yes, Lord." Xue Yi immediately set off to follow the orders that were given to him.
As RuJin walked back to his room, ShuYan followed him with a heavy heart.
"Will I be able to come with you?" ShuYan asked.
"No, I'm afraid you can't," RuJin paused before he grabbed a gold mask, and put it on his face.
ShuYan didn't fight back against his words, he understood that even if he went, he would be a burden to RuJin because he wasn't strong enough.
"Ok, then I will wait here. Make sure you come back soon, and please, be safe." ShuYan could only give him these words along with his feelings.

"I will, I'll make sure to come back. So please, keep waiting for me. No matter what, I'll make sure to be with you once more. Even if it means shedding the blood of everyone to get back to you, I will do it." RuJin grabbed his sword, when ShuYan pulled him back suddenly.
He felt something light touch his lips, and a hand at the back of his head. As soon as it came, ShuYan let go of him.
"I love you," ShuYan's shaky voice spoke those sweet words to RuJin. They were beautiful, but at the same time, the words created an image of sadness with deep longing. A scene that was filled with tears.
"I love you too," RuJin closed his eyes as he said these words, his body moving away from ShuYan as he exited the door of his bedroom.
He will return. No matter what, he was going to fight to death to come back to this place, and come back to ShuYan.
Watching the figure of RuJin's body walking away from him, ShuYan's heart was filled with pain.
"RuJin, you must come back, you have to." His eyes were tinted with a redness before he suddenly walked over to grab something.
The guqin.
Even though he couldn't join the battle, he could still do something at least. RuJin had told him that the sound and power of the guqin could reach quite far. As long as he knew where the battle was, he should be able to participate in it.
Calming his heart down, with total concentration, he began focusing his power into the guqin, playing loud yet mysterious tones, and hoping that they would be able to travel all the way to the base of the mountain.
RuJin was dressed in all black, his golden mask and the sword by his side were what made people knew that it was him.

As he floated in midair, his disciples and generals were behind them, menacing just like he was.
He looked at all these people who lied to themselves that they were righteous, all just to cover up the fact that without their power, they were just cruel and evil people.
"Dark Lord, you are an existence that was meant to be eliminated. You have killed so many people, the list doesn't end. Today, the sects of the Five Nations have gathered to eliminate you. So long as you are alive, the world will never be at peace." One of the elders from the sects spoke, his tone condescending.
RuJin merely stared at him with his dark eyes that felt like it was penetrating their soul. Some of the weaker disciples struggled to keep their stance, their breathing was heavy as they tried to maintain peace within themselves.
"To come into my land and speak of yourselves like high gods, who has given you the rights? I don't know your side of the story, but I do know mine. If it wasn't because of you guys, I wouldn't be who I am now. I have to thank you all for making me who I am today. But, you think that you can defeat me when you are so weak?" RuJin couldn't help the tone of ridicule that escaped from his tone.
"We may not know but we will try. We will do anything to defeat you and go back to our sects with pride." Li Shao spoke.
RuJin looked at the man that used to be ShuYan's master. This man was really getting on his nerves, just like everyone else who dared to come to his place and start a battle.
"Haven't you ever wondered about what would happen if I were to defeat you all? Going to your sects with pride! Over what? We'll see if you can successfully kill me or will I be the one to alienate you." RuJin spoke, his hand rising to his sword.
"There is now need for more useless words. Let this battle begin." With his words, shouts were heard everywhere as they attacked.
From every direction, people fell quicker than the eyes could blink.
The tune of a distant guqin was heard. The shouts of people from the sects screamed with pain as they fell to their deaths,
RuJin smiled. Even now this person was still helping him for afar.
It ignited his will to survive.

The Trespasser
Synopsis Following his di—instincts, David finds himself in a weird situation; the next thing he knows, he's in a different world, dying, and manhandled by a big-ass alien. When the Source comes to his aid, granting him the access that—like every other sapient—he's due, David barely manages to get out of the fight with his life intact, but is that enough? Of course it isn't. The very Source giving him powers is also poisoning him to death. Oh, there she is, the petite female alien. Will that be enough to save him? Of course it won't. If he wants to be saved, he has first to save himself. The only way to do so is by getting to know the world around him, but even before that... Why the bloody hell did I have to be called Deviant!? *** Blurb? Blurb. The Trespasser starts slowly, I believe I've written a decent world, and I want you to find out what it's all about, won't just throw it in your face because of *levels*. I do not like stories that don't make sense. David is not a murderhobo, he respects life and answers to the world and the weird situations thrown at him with irony and sarcasm; so you are looking for easy killing streaks, you will not find them here. So, a man finds himself into the wild? It's a different world, and yet he can breathe its air? Finds himself in a lucky-low-level zone? Oh, look at that, people speak English—how likely is that? So, nope, not for me, gentleman. You won't find anything of the likes here. Again, a man finds himself in a new world but only thinks about the system? Yeah, that's not exactly how it works. David will try to find out what it's really all about, what the aliens want, how they work, why is that Fay really helping him? You can kill somebody to get levels, and yet there is not even a form of police? Not gonna happen here. Man becomes suddenly overpowered in a world where people can live for thousands of years by having enough luck to face only lower-level people? Hahaha—nope. Lastly...Spaceships and fantasy with LitRPG... say what!? Well, what's wrong with that? Let's make it happen, shall we? *** You want even more info? Really? Alright... David will start from the very bottom of the food chain, so there will be a settling arc—it's inevitable. David will find true companions, with personalities and backstories, and they will have a life of their own. There will be enemies, and those enemies will have a life of their own, too; there will be no evil just because. The world-building will have true depth; it will not exist just because the protagonist visits it. There will be both Fantasy and (Soft) Sci-fi—yeah, you heard that right. There will be rationality to every action taken, as long as the characters are aware of what is going on. There will be a godly system. You will come to read because of the world-building, but you will stay for the characters. The dead stay dead, and you will weep for them. There will be no action without a reaction. Lastly, there will be laughs. Are you still up for it? Then get in but fasten your seatbelts because it's going to be a wild ride. *** Release Days: Twice a week Release Time: ~09:00 PM UTC Words per chapter: ~3000 This web novel is also available on other platforms.
