《Mianite: Unitended》Unchanged

I never really remembered my past. Every time I think of it I see a blue old Victorian house and then a grey house. Sometimes that happens when you fall to Minaite, you don't remember. I count myself lucky though, I really don't want to remember. Just more to miss. I have Tucker, my boyfriend, and that's all I need.
I think I came from the modern world and was in foster care. That's why I remember so many different houses. Different citizens of Mianite remember different events of there old life, if they forget of the modern world. Like I remember buildings. Tucker remembers voices and Tom remembers names. You never remember all of it though. Every detail, every house, every family. It just disappears.
I walked into the lab where the Ianites were. They had figured out Mianites riddle and Tucker was more impressed the me. A new version of the godless and this time they were going to do it right. They had been working on the idea science Jordan thought up of it. They used the symbol of the old folk lore God Ianite. They don't really believe in the God of course unlike the rumor the Dianites have going around.
I think Jordan does a little, but Hope does not and kinda makes fun of him for it, even though there very close. The idea of Ianite was really for show though. Sorta like the godless. To make Dianites scared of something and get Dianite of Mianite's back.
"Hello, Ianites", I walked into the office. Jordan was working on his glass sword. I guess he had found a revelation with it.
The wriders hearts had a connection with the glass. Like he could program it or something. He was the reason me and Tucker had all the cool weapons. We were usually clueless.
Hope waved to me. She was laying on one of the tables in her purple coat with her stuffed animals. A few beekers with some weird chemicals were right beside her but she didn't seem to care. She looked tired with dark circles under her eyes. A child should never have to look like that.

I went over to Jordan. I had to relay a message from Tucker.
"We need to talk to you in private". I think I scared him because he dropped his sword and it landed on his shoe. He grabbed the sword and grabbed his glasses off the floor. He pushed them up on his face and motioned Hope to get out of the room. She groaned and walked out of the room. It was really like they had there own language. They probably did working together so much.
Hope got out if the room slamming the door. We all knew she hated leaving the room. She wanted to be involved and like any kid wanted to grow up faster than she could. We didn't allow her to the Mianite meetings. We didn't believe that she was a spy for Dianite or Nadeshot, but if she was we didn't want to know.
Tucker walked into the room shutting the door tightly behind him. "Ok, let's start talking about new Ianite tactics".
Jordan shrugged, "Ok".
Tucker sat down tired. This whole battle was difficult on all of us. "So what is this Dianite pub I'm hearing about".
I always hated those stupid meetings. They talked about things that I could have figure out before them. I usually walked outside alone while they were all talking. It would seem like days even though at the most the meeting would last a hour, but that day I think it was good that I didn't stay in and try to snoop.
I was sitting down reading a book when I felt a hand go over my mouth. I thrashed around and started to bit whoever it was. The person jerked there arm back. I turned around.
"Ah, hell kid", It was Tom. He had his mask on. The mask showed that he was in Dianite. That special mark that tells every other God ,'Go hide in a hole'. Every Dianite has one. The Modesteps had there teamwork with each other. I used to have my hair.

His hand was bleeding where I had bit him. He sucked the blood out. "What was that for".
"You scared me", I said casually. "What are you doing here".
"Ok look", he knelt down by me looking slightly to the back. "I am done with this war stuff".
I crossed my arms not believing a word he was saying. Tom had disappeared from Mianite around the time we thought of Ianite.
"Here me out", he held out his hands trying to block the future punch. "I have been in Dianite for ever. This isn't the Dianite I just got to screw around in and prank Tucker". He laughed to himself. I didn't think it was funny. He noticed. "Let me talk to Tucker", he sounded calm for once in his life.
"Fine". I let my arms down to my side's. I put my hand up. "But, Tucker's going to try to kill you and I'm not helping either of you bury the body".
I blindfolded Tom and lead him to the Mianites base. I was not taking a chance of him being a spy. When we got to the base thankfully Jordan was the one to greet us. He gave me this face like he was ready to kill me. I forgot that he had already met Tom. There was no tricking him. Tom was still blindfolded reaching for things.
I threw Tom at Jordan. "Take him". Jordan didn't catch him and he landed on the floor. He crossed his arms and still looked at me with that why don't you listen look. I shrugged and Jordan still glared at me. Tom was still laying on the floor trying to get the blindfold off.
"I am not getting Tucker mad because you-"
"What's he doing here". Tucker walked into the room. Sonja sauntering behind him.
Tom finally got the blindfold off. He stood up in front off Tucker.
Tucker swung a punch at him Sonja gasping flailing her arm out to make him stop. Tom ducked from the punch and launched back up like a piece of toast.
"Hey". He playfully punched Tucker in the arm. "Pal". Tucker didn't answer. He just glared at him. That's when he pushed Tom trying to knock him on the floor, but he was to grounded.
"What was that-".
Tucker brought out one of his swords swinging at Tom. Tom dodged it and ran to the side. He scrambled on top off the table.
"This is your fault", Tucker screamed.
"My fault", Tom stood up. "My fault", he got a little loader. He held out his hands in front of his chest. "Because that's not how I remember it".
Tucker threw one of Sonja's throwing knives. Tom jumped off the table and the knife went into the wall instead of him.
Tom was stuck in a corner. Tucker grabbed all the knives and walked towards him standing up completely strait.
"Ok, ok, yo". He tried to search for his daggers. "Linda listen I want to help you".
Tucker wasn't listening. He was just upset.
"Please, please, please". Tom begged. I have never seen Tom beg, but Tucker had him in a blind spot.
With a clang Tucker dropped the knives on the floor. "Fine". He let out. "One. Chance".

Kai Lan was a child blessed by the Spiritual Plain, far more gifted and more intelligent than others his age. The question of Kai Lan's journey becomes not whether he will reach the highest peak of cultivation, but what he will be forced to do to keep his young Clan, and the happiness it provides, at peace. Note to Reader: I am not of an Asian background, but this work is heavily influenced by Eastern stories and concepts. In saying that, it is an INFLUENCE only. Keep in mind that this is a fantasy work, and any butchering of names, concepts or cultural objects/places/subjects are not meant in any way to offend. With that in mind, Happy Reading! - Jelim
