《Mianite: Decay》Decern

I was exhausted. I had almost fallen half way up the hill. How was i supposed to know there metric system was different than ours? How was I supposed to know a mile was more feet than normal?
I sat down now that the farm was in view. If I was going to pass out over lack of sleep someone would find me, hopefully. Maybe Hope.
Atleast I had gotten the weapons done and my mind was cleared. I could actually sleep now.
"Jordan!"
Hope slid over by me, skidding on the grass. She sat down by me.
"How was your trip?", she asked, even though she looked uninterested.
"Well", I sighed, "I couldn't sleep because it was cold out and my mind wouldn't shut up-"
"Yeah that's great, we both don't want to talk to eachother do we? Why don't you go to bed", she stood up and stared out by the bridge.
"You seem paranoid?", I said.
She didn't move or notice what I was saying.
"There's someone coming over to us", she tilted her head.
He was wearing a grey shirt and a baseball cap, walking up the hill with a pretty heavy stride. "He doesn't look dangerous". I pointed to the farm house, "maybe he works there or something".
Hope rolled her eyes obviously not believing me.
"You can go ahead and interrogate the poor guy. I just want to go to bed".
Hope lent her hand out for me to stand up. "Cmon".
We started walking towards the town.
"So", Hope started up a conversation again. I guess I could stand her so I allowed. "Tom found a tree to stay in".
"A what?"
"You heard me".
I rubbed my head, "I'm to tired to even ask".
She laughed quietly. I was starting to get the vibe that she was a little frustrated too. "Well it all started when Tom decided that he hated the town".
I glanced at her, "oh that sounds familiar".
She gave me that partial smile, like she was to lazy to think up of a snippy comment. "I'm not stupid enough to I give up food and blankets. Anyway he found out the tree was hollow and then it gave him this big idea that-"
"Put your hands behind your back, your under court arrest".
I heard a heavy sigh from Hope.
She turned around to see who was talking and then put her arms behind her back. She shrugged, "I don't like the cuffs tight, okay".
"What did you do?!", I snapped.
"Well-"
"Not you-", the man said.
I finally turned around to get a good view of the man. He had cap on, but I was pretty sure his hair was shaven off. He also had a red star tattoo on his arm which was almost purposely noticeable. Hope seemed to take a notice aswell.
"What do you mean not me?", Hope asked.
"I mean you did nothing wrong", the man answered, "it's him who broke into my house, mate!"
His words started to turn into shouting and I realized his accent sounded Australian. The only reason I though Tom or the Modsteps spoke with a British accent was because they were originally from the modern world.
Hope turned on her watch and walked over to the corner.
"So only I was caught braking into the farm house, supposably".
"Yes", he answered, "I own that farm over there and I come home from my trip to see my plants crumpled and my sword misplaced", he crossed his arms, "the Town Herald said he saw you around my house".

"Just me".
The man nodded his head, "yes".
"What the hell is going on", Tucker's footsteps walked towards us. Hope must have called them over on the watch, which was oddly mature of her.
"Oh god", Sonja let out a sigh, finally getting a look at the guy who was interrogating me.
Tom walked up between Tucker and Sonja with this smirk on his face, "bloody hell Jordan. What did you get yourself into this time?"
I glared at Tom, but he wasn't catching my message.
"He's a trouble maker so watch out for him".
Than an idea popped into my head.
Want to throw eachother in jail then Tom, fine!
"What if I told you about a greater offender-"
"Wait Jordan", Hope interrupted me, "I forgot to tell you something".
"No let him go", Tom whispered just loud enough for me to hear, "and we will all just sit here and smile because we know what is going to happen".
"Thomas Syndicate", I continued on with my plan, digging myself a deeper hole, "he has been stealing for as long as I've known him".
The man gave me a confused look. I saw Hope from the corner of my eye hold her head in her hands out of frustration.
"You mean my employee, mate", the man continued on.
"Oh right", Sonja dragged on her words with a sarcastic tone, "he got a job".
"What?!", Tom sounded insulted, "You don't think I can be hard working man".
"No", Hope answered before Sonja could open her mouth.
I turned around, not just shocked that Tom got a job, but that no one was asking for him to go into court. "Seriously, I'm the only one guilty here!"
"Now Mr. Sparkles we can make this easy or hard, just take an easy walk down to the court with me", The man continued.
"Why was I the only one?-"
"Jordan shh!", Hope shouted.
"Excuse me ma'am", Another man came up behind Sonja, wearing armor and not looking too kind.
"Yeah", she answered.
"Are you Ms. Firefoxx", he asked. There was a pistol at his side so he wasn't here to argue.
"Yes", Sonja said, more confused.
"You have been summoned to the town court for trail", he said.
Sonja's eyes got huge, "for what!?"
"Precise chargers will be told in court", The man continued like he was reading off a list.
"Wha-?"
"Okay so I'm not getting arrested", Hope asked.
"You could have for assaulting the prince, but he dropped chargers", The man in the armor said.
"Hope, you assaulted the prince", I yelled. The Farmer cut me off by binding my hands.
She sighed, "he stole my backpack".
"So let me get this straight", Tom said, "out of everyone me and Hope are the innocent ones".
"And me", Tucker interrupted.
"Yeah you don't count"
"Oh look at this", Tom said. "They get to be behind bars too. Hope grab the popcorn, this is never happening again!"
The court room wasn't very intimidating. Looked like every over fairy tail cottage around the town. There was a little jail cell at the side of the corner with a open window right on top of it.
It was almost like they wanted me too escape.
Then there was the chairs where everyone has to sit, except for the front where the prince and the Town Herald (the man who had arrested me) sat. It was just a simple wooden four legged table.
The prince looked like what any young adult being forced to judge a crime would look. He looked like he was bored as fuck. Until The Prince caught glance at Hope who was starting to walk into the door and his eyes got huge and he started slowly sit up. I couldn't tell if he looked horrified or excited.

"Maybe I'll just wait this one out", Hope made a straight U-Turn out the door as she made eye contact with the prince.
Tucker grabbed Hope by the shoulders, "You don't want to witness the one time it's Jordan behind bars instead of you".
"No, not worth it", she mumbled.
Without struggle, Tucker got Hope to sit down.
The Farmer led Jordan into the jail portion. Jordan looked as unhappy as Hope to be here.
Jordan sat down on the jail floor and the continued to glare at the farmer. He acted to much like Hope when he was tired that it was actually scary.
Jordan finally opened his mouth, giving the farmer a blank stare, "I'm really tired. Can we hurry this up?"
The farmer gritted his teeth, gulping down some words. He spun his feet around to give the prince a cold stare, and Andor's gaze left Hope and went back to exasperated.
"So you see here", The farmer started, "This man broke into my house, which is private property. Then he destroyed my fields".
"Wasn't me-!"
"Quite", The town herald shut of Jordan's sentence.
"Then I walk in to see that my items were stolen", The Farmer continued.
Jordan's eyes lit up, "okay I did not steal your sword, which by the way could really use a touch up-"
"YOU WANT A RIGHT RUMBLE, MATE!", The farmer bellowed.
The prince stopped the nervous clicking of his nails on the table and stood up even more. "No rumbles will be necessary Steve".
"HE BLOODY JUST ADMITTED TO THE CRIME ANDOR YOU SEE THIS DINGO", The Farmer continued his screaming, "WHO THE HELL DOES HE THINK HE IS-"
"Silence!", The Town Herald shut off the chaos before the prince even tried. "Now let me here the defendants side!"
"Well", Jordan looked over at Hope for some type of guidance, but she was to busy glaring at the blushing prince.
"You see I um", Jordan started to stammer, his brain to tired to think up of a plan itself. The only sort of backup was that he wasn't the only one in the house and he wouldn't do that to hope. "Not guilty", he let out meekly.
The Town Herald cleared his throat, "it will take awhile for me to make a decisive decision-"
"Us", The prince corrected.
"Right us", The Town Herald said, like it was some bitter taste in his mouth.
Now was my chance to escape. I mean there was no god to keep me being a good person. It's been a long time since I stirred up trouble.
I slid off the bindings, that were not tight enough for my wrist and ran for it. I practically jumped on top of the Heralds head for a boost to the window.
"AFTER HER", The Town Herald screamed, "DON'T LET ANY OF THESE MENACES GET AWAY".
I almost laughed out loud at the fact that Sonja, Mianite's bitch, just went ahead and basically stuck her middle finger out at him.
The Town Herald was fuming and the prince just seemed shocked.
"Well shit", Jordan sighed, laying down on the jails bars.
I took my chance while everyone was confused and angry and ran to the jail gate. The lock simply opened from the outside, which it's there own stupid fault if someone is going to escape.
"Hurry up", I said.
Jordan ducked out from under the doorway. Still no one noticed us.
"Let's get the fuck out of here", I laughed, finally getting some sort of adrenaline rush. Some sort of excitement.
The Town Herald twisted an angry face at us and reached into one of the holsters of his pocket. "Of the order of Prince Andor I declare Jordan Sparkles guilty and the punishment is immediate death". The Town Herald grabbed a silver pistol out of his holster and put his finger on the trigger, pointing the barrel at us.
"No stop!", The prince yelled, finally finding his outside voice.
The gun shot off, letting off a ear rattling noise that I hadn't heard in a long time.
I pushed Jordan on the ground, thinking only with my reflexes and I went along with.
"How dare you make and order without me!", The prince yelled loud enough for me to hear between the ringing in my ears.
I didn't feel any pain, which was good. I leaned up and saw Jordan holding his left arm, with the most terrified look on his face.
"Jordan", my breath started to get heavy.
Don't panic, don't panic, stay calm.
"I think it's just my arm", Jordan answered. "I'll be okay. The bullet went through".
"This isn't just some scratch, you got fucking shot", I yelled, trying to stop my head from getting dizzy.
I can't cry, not here, not infront of these people.
"I'll be fine. I'm not dying on the last name of sparkles", he said, trying to laugh, but his voice was shaky. Me freaking out wasn't helping anything either.
"What do we do?!", I asked. "I don't know about guns. You won't bleed out will you?!"
"I need something to put pressure on the wound right now", he gulped, "where's your backpack?"
I got my backpack from the seat where I had left it.
"I have leftover bandage, but it's really old-"
"Just give it".
I stared at the ground, trying to stop myself from feeling queasy.
"Jesus kid. I'm the one shot here".
"Sorry", I looked back up at nurse sparkles who had cleaned up his wound. "What now?"
"Just hope it doesn't bleed more because then we have problem"
I didn't laugh at his use of my name.
He looked up at the prince, who wasn't too helpful through the whole situation. "Am I free now?"
"Yes", he backed up, moving his blue eyes to me. I must have looked like a mess.
I stood up, pleading that I wouldn't cry until I got out of this building.
I helped Jordan up.
"You need help walking", I asked.
"It's my arm not my leg, and I think the bullet missed me pretty well".
I glanced around the court room "Where's everyone else?"
"After Sonja I think".
I heard footsteps behind me that weren't Jordan's.
Jordan turned around, but I refused.
"I'm sorry", The prince let out with that stupid dopey voice again.
"Aren't you always", I grabbed Jordan's intact arm and pulled him out the door.
"Sonja", I called out, walking through the woods on the mainland, "Sonj, I'm here to help".
Nothing.
Everything was silent except for the wind rustling through the pine trees.
"Why the hell did you have to run off", I whispered instead of thinking.
I continued to walk through the woods, trying to find Sonj somewhere. She couldn't be far. We would just have to find Wag and then get the hell out of here with everyone else. Hope would be ecstatic to leave, and so would Tom. Wag could help us find our way home, and we would do whatever we could to help him.
I could keep control of the situation. I had to keep control of the situation.
My head was yanked back, knocking me back in the cold grass.
The Town Herald stood infront of my visions. He had one of his guards step on my chest, keeping me down and unable to fight back.
"You are a Mianite, yes", The Town herald asked. I could see a silver pistol glimmering from the right side of his holster.
"Yes", I said, trying to keep my voice strong. I didn't exactly like being in this situation. I wasn't about to sound weak.
"Your girlfriend ran off", He continued.
"What did she even do?!", I question. "Why do you hate us so bad!?"
"That doesn't seem to be any of your concern", The guard answered.
The town herald gave the young guard a disapproving glance and continued to give his bitter gaze to me, "she lied to a merchant about an item she bought. We take our merchants trust very serious, being the towns main finance and all".
I didn't have anything to say. What he was saying wasn't unreasonable. I guess Sonj did brake a law-.
"We could easily forgive her", The Town Herald sighed. "We just need something from you".
"Get your bodyguard to stop pushing in my lungs and we will talk", I gasped.
The town herald snapped his fingers at the young guard. The guard moved his foot, giving his advisor a confusing look.
"I'm not stupid. I understand that your friends are uncontrollable", The town herald said.
I stood up wiping off my pants and shirt.
The herald continued, "you seem to be a reasonable man. I just ask that you keep them in line. We even have a title for you".
"A title?", I questioned, "wait like a job".
"Bounty hunter", he said. "You don't have to kill anybody if you don't want too".
I squinted my eyes at the town herald and his guard, "does the prince know about this plan?"
"Don't try to blackmail me", The town herald growled, "the King won't be found of it and I would keep in his good graces".
I narrowed my eyes more at the pair.
How the fuck do things work around here.
The Herald lent out his hand. "Do we have a deal?"
"You leave my friends alone, got it", I started to step away, "fine, but I'm not shaking your hand".
A small smile crept on his face. His guard even seemed disturbed.
"Perfect"

The Destiny of a Mortal God (Hiatus)
Currently on hiatus, in part because I'm unsatisfied with how the story was starting to develop, and even though I had ideas how to run it, I still made mistakes far too big to correct them. Secondly I'm currently stressed about university, and sincerely, I don't see myself keeping this project. I may or may not retake this project or even start a new one, but one thing's for sure, it isn't happening anytime soon (Meaning until june, aprox, or until I can keep up with class). ... Lyon Ironblood, 19 years old and orphan, is taken by Kronos from the present Earth to another world, where he shall fight and struggle to get stronger so that he shall acomplish the mission Kronos assigned him. He shall fight gods, demons, dragons and monsters and even mortals who surpass those. But to do so he shall receive, though only after he proved himself worthy, a power beyond imagination. This power will not be handed freely to him, and he'll have to work hard to develop it. He shall receive the X-Men System. A magic system designed to enhance Lyon and give him the mutations from the X-Men serie. He shall start from scratch, with powers that will seem less than a mere human, and develop them with effort, to surpass the gods. [I don't claim ownership of any of the X-Men powers or characters, neither the cover, only thing I claim are the ideas which make the story and put together their powers, how they'll develop from scratch to even higher worlds than they were suposed on the series, other than that, all X-Men characters named (which I'll try to avoid to a certain point) are not of my property]
