Chaos. It was absolute. Chinatsu thought as she observed the members of her squad looking disheveled, well as disheveled as the wealthiest men in the kingdom can get.

The servants inside the headquarters were all rushing in and out of the room carrying trays with a stack of layers to prepare for the ball tonight.

From the cafeteria, Chinatsu can smell the delicious scent of the juiciest meat in the kingdom. Might be the only thing she was looking forward to tonight.

In her hand, she possessed a glass of apple juice. She sat on the top of the long and curvy staircases in the main hall.

She dreaded this day.

Everyone was overwhelmed with anxiety and expectations. Like trying to impress a lady without any known interests.

That was what Chinatsu felt every year when she wanted to, No, HAD to present a gift to her ever-so-perfect (not) Captain.

She sighed into her hand. Every member was starting to order the most exquisite of taste. It annoyed her to no end. Having standards were absolutely troublesome.

The chance of meeting the Captain's expectations was very thin.

Being probably the only member of her squad without a respected gift at the moment didn't make Chinatsu feel any better about today.

She is the Vice-Captain. She HAS to have the best gift. People and members look up to her.

At times like this Chinatsu wished she was on a long extensive mission. She wanted to be away from the nobles, away from the knights, away from the people.

She stared outside to the clouds, she wanted to be with her parents once more.

They were the only ones who made her feel fuzzy on the inside and warm, unlike the cold and harsh world of reality she soaks in every day.

People were a nuisance to her. Every person had their own unique way of irritating Chinatsu in some way.

Having a thought in mind she ditched her glass and flew straight out of the doors having a specific destination in mind.

Timeskip

Yami was snoring, almost naked outside of a gambling house.

His eyes seemed to be drunk as his body was sprawled all over the place like he was thrown out.

Water droplets slowly dripped onto him, then it felt like a whole bucket was next.

Opening his eyes widely he sees Chinatsu or as he liked to refer to as 'China-chan' on some occasions.

She was there glaring down on him, or at least that's what she looked like she was doing.

Yami started to feel a chill flow down his spine. This must be serious, she must be serious (than normal anyway).

"Um good morning, China-chan." Yami started off rather awkwardly "You came for a gift?" he asked.

Chinatsu firmed her lips together creating a thin line and merely nodded.

That was enough to get a confirmation from her that she needed his help.

"So you wanna tell me why you're going so far for this gift?"

It was surprising that Chinatsu thought about asking for others for help at all. She was always the lone wolf. The knight that always worked alone. But here she was asking a naked man on the street for help.

Then realization hit him, like a brick wall as Chinatsu spoke up "I like him."

One second.

The next second.

"Ahahahahahahaha" the Captain of the Black Bulls laughed out loud, so loud that his stomach was getting stitches.

Chinatsu stood there with a blank look as she watched the Captain in front of her laugh hysterically.

"You seriously have a crush on William Vangeance?!" he continued laughing.

A simple nod from the girl confirmed it.

"So when you gonna tell him that?"

"I never said I wanted to pursue a relationship with him."

That made him go wide-eyed "WHY??"

She shrugged "I never saw the need to go through such lengths, besides I am okay with the interaction we have now."

"Sooo are we gonna go somewhere to get this present?" Yami asked her.

To his surprise, Chinatsu handed him a card that made his eyes go wide upon it.
