She tune down everything that her Captain had said and the exam went by a blur, she could feel herself sleeping, the relaxation. The comfort, the pain in her legs. The soft winds, the loud cheering of crowds.

Chinatsu had concluded that she had slept with her eyes open because her Captain had to tap her shoulder to see if she was there.

William smiled softly "Sleeping?"

Chinatsu shook her head and straightened her back fully "No, I was meditating."

"We have a new recruit from this exam and another one from the House of Vermillion. Make sure to make them feel welcomed." William told before disappearing deep into the hallway.

Chinatsu shook her head and turned to leave the other way. She didn't even ask who it was, cause he expected her to know already, with her eyes physically open she should still see what was going on.

She heard footsteps coming towards her. She didn't even need to look up to know who it was. Because she could smell the smoke from a distance. "China-chan."

"Black Bull's Captain-san." when they were alone Chinatsu could find the comfort to add a 'san' to it.

Yami's eyes twitched a little "Still don't remember my name, huh?" taking a puff of smoke from his cigarette, then he scratched his butt ever so casually.

"How much do you want?" Chinatsu asked as she took out her purse of golden coins from her pocket and presented it in front of her.

"Why do you always assume I only come to you for money?" Yami deadpanned

"You always scratch your rear when you want money from me, I know you don't ask anyone else because they don't trust you with this." Chinatsu explained monotonously.

"Braid hair's a jerk, Thorn queen would go cold and the split head would most likely kill me before I could ask." Yami listed

"Why not ask the Coral Peacock's Captain?" Chinatsu suggested.

"She's asleep! By the way I saw you sleeping in the exam, what's with that." Yami mentioned

Chinatsu raised an eyebrow that he was watching her when he was supposed to be watching the examinees, but she let that slide "I was not sleeping. I was training to die."

Yami then bursted out laughing unable to contain his laughter he accidentally punched the wall on the side making it crumble.

"You're funny." Yami managed to say, his cigarette falling from his mouth in the process.

Chinatsu caught his cigarette before it could land on the ground "I wasn't trying to be. Now if you'll excuse me I have to find my new mentee. And I expect my full money to be paid back."

Once she left Yami alone only did he realized "Give me back my cigarette! Dammit.."
