"Hehehe. Wearing those headbands and acting like ninjas. A real ninja is someone who has survived numerous brushes with death." The water clone said. "Only when you're good enough to be listed into my handbook can you start calling yourself ninjas. You are not ninjas!'

When Zabuza's clone finished speaking, he ran up and kicked Naruto so hard that he went flying and his headband came off.

"NARUTO!!!"

Chapter 14:

Zabuza's dead now, right?

I watched as Naruto hit the ground.

"Naruto!" I tried to yell out, but it only came out as a pained whisper.

"Just brats." The real Zabuza said, still hold Kakashi captive in the sphere of water.

"Take Tazuna and run!! You have no chance of beating him!! As long as he's keeping me trapped in this prison he can't move! The water clone cannot go very far from his real body. Just run away now!" Kakashi yelled at us from inside the water prison. Believe me, if I wasn't in this much pain, and fighting to stay conscience, I would have made a sarcastic remark back at him on how I was still here, and that I could still battle him. My head snapped back to Naruto as I heard him roll over on the ground, and my I add, that along almost made me loss my concentration and staying awake. I saw Naruto looking terrified as he looked at the water clone, knowing that he could die if it attacked him. Naruto than quickly got up, most likely to obey Kakashi, when he winced and looked down on his bandaged hand. He stared at his hand for a couple of seconds later than look up at Zabuza and his headband, which was now under his foot. He slowly stood up from his crouched position and faced Zabuza with a determined look on his face. 'What in the hell are you doing Naruto?' I asked in my mind.

All of a sudden Naruto took off in a mad sprint towards widened. 'He would really go up against Zabuza? Would he?!'

"No! Don't!" Kakashi yelled out.

"Naruto! Stop!" I managed to yell out as the same time as Sakura yelled out "Naruto what are you thinking?!'

"Bah... Idiot!" Zabuza said as he saw Naruto near. I didn't know what happen next. One moment Naruto was running towards Zabuza, and the next he was lying beside me in the dirt.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING ATTACKING HIM ALL BY YOURSELF?! WE GENIN HAVE NO CHANCE AGAINST HIM!" Sakura yelled at him as he layed on the ground. Naruto once again started to stand up after Sakura yelled at him, surprising all of us. As Naruto has getting up I managed to get myself into a sitting position.

"Gu." Naruto said in pain. I could now see that he was holding his headband again, and that blood was dripping off of his mouth. 'That fool, going through all of that only to get a headband. I have to admit it is kinda stupid, but it also makes me proud, seeing that he would go through all of that just so he can be respected.'

"Hey, you eye-browless freak. But this in your handbook. 'The man who will one day become Hokage." Naruto paused in what he was saying to stand up straight and put on his headband. “The leaf village ninja Naruto Uzumaki!" 'And don't you ever stop believing that you can reach your dream Naruto.' I said in my mind, even though I wanted to say it out loud, I knew this was not that time.

"Hey Sasuke listen!" Naruto said to Sasuke without looking back to him.

"What is it?" Sasuke asked.

"I have a plan." he replied.

"Pft... Teamwork from you?" Sasuke joked/asked. 'Good for you for thinking of a plan in this type of situation Naruto! I wonder what he came up with.'

"Now, let’s go wild!" Naruto yelled out.

I face palmed, well, in my mind I faced palmed in my sitting position. I mean he let it on that he had an amazing plan, and yet it was only 'Let’s go wild!' I mean, what kinda plan is that????

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! RUN AWAY!! THIS FIGHT WAS OVER THE MOMENT I WAS CAUGHT!" Kakashi yelled to us. "OUR DUTY IS TO PROTECT TAZUNA! DID YOU FORGET THAT?!"

"Old man..." Naruto said, looking towards Tazuna.

"Well... I planted this seed myself. I'm not going to now say that I desire to live so much that I'd stop you. I'm sorry guys... fight as much as you like." Tazuna said while giving the four of us a confident smile.

"Hmph. you hear that." Sasuke said to Naruto.

"Yeah. Are you ready?" Naruto smirked.

Zabuza started to laugh when he heard this. "You guys will never grow up; you’re just going to keep on 'playing' ninja, eh? When I was about you age, these hands were already dyed red with blood." Zabuza raised his hand to his face if he was remembering the time were he first 'dyed' them red will the blood.

"Long ago in the hidden mist village, also call blood mist village, there was a final obstacle in becoming a ninja." Kakashi said. Zabuza turned to face him.

"Hm, so you also know about that graduation exam."

"The exam?" Naruto asked quietly, but Zabuza still heard him and started to laugh once again, like he does, every, five, seconds! I wish I wasn't in this state for I would have told Zabuza to shut the hell up! He is getting on my verve's

"What's this graduation exam thing?!" Naruto said louder. I knew what Zabuza was going to say, so I decided to say it for him, even if I was in pain still.

"It was fight to the death between the students." Everyone turned to look at me in surprise, well everyone but Zabuza and Kakashi. I didn't bother to look at anyone; I just said the same words that Zabuza said to me when we first fought against each other.

"Friends who had trained and eaten at the same table are pitted against each other and go at it, until one of them loses his life. Friends who had helped each other and shared dreams." I sighed and looked up. "Did I get it all, or did I leave anything out, Zabuza, the man who killed hundreds of students when he wasn't even in the academy. Because of you, the hidden mist had to change, and if I may add, I say it was a change of the good." I could barely say the last few words without coughing up my lung, so I stopped talking.

"It sure was... Fun!" Zabuza sighed. I had to look away from his face. It was just too damn creepy to look at, I mean, who in their right minds sighs and laughs at memories when they killed people... oh wait, I can think of two, him and the creepy snake sannin. While I was being creeped out with bad memories of a snake-man, Zabuza charged and attacked Sasuke, kneeing and punching him till he spat out blood.

"Sasuke-kun!" Sakura yelled out.

"Die" Zabuza said with a single foot on top of Sasuke. I looked over Naruto to see his reaction, only to see him forming a single handsign.

"Shadow Clone jutsu!" He yelled out. ‘Well, it looks like he really did have a plan. Damn it, if I wasn’t so wounded I would have been able to fight Zabuza again so Naruto wouldn't have to! It! Naruto you better hope your plan works, or else I my have to jump in and save you!' I yelled in my mind. I watched as a large group of Naruto’s surround Zabuza, than dog pile onto him. It was a good idea, if the opponent wasn't extremely strong. Zabuza merely just pushed then all off of him, sending them all flying. Many of them were skidding on the ground. I saw one shove another into a backpack than pull of what looked like a giant shuriken.

"Sasuke!" A Naruto yelled, throwing the folded up shuriken to him to use. The moment Sasuke caught it he spun into a circle and was now holding, a real giant shuriken?! He must have been able to tell that the one that Naruto gave him was a shadow clone!

"Evil wind Shuriken. Shadow Windmill!" Sasuke cried before he jumped into the air.

"A shuriken won't work against me!" Zabuza said to Sasuke as he was in the air. Right after Zabuza said that, Sasuke threw the shuriken. It went right pass the water clone, and moved its way toward the real one.

"I see you're aiming at the real me. But..." The real Zabuza stuck out his hand and caught the shuriken. “That’s not enough!" Zabuza looked away for the shuriken he caught. "What?! Another one in the shurikens shadow?!" I sat there amazed. 'That's the shadow shuriken jutsu, amazing! I think it's really going to hit him!'

Zabuza stood there, looking at the fast approaching shuriken, when it got close, he jumped right over it!

"But it's still not enough!" Zabuza said. 'He dodged it!'

"Hehe." I heard Sasuke laugh. 'What's so funny, their plan just failed!!" I watched as the giant shuriken flew away, than poof into, Naruto? 'The clone! Missing must have only be part of the plan, that's why he changed a shadow clone into a shuriken back there, so it could be in the shadows of the real one so Zabuza wouldn't notice!'

"Raa!" Naruto yelled as he threw a kunia he was holding at Zabuza. I sat and watched as the kunia got closer to him. 'Well, what else can I do? I can barely move, and I, a chunin, have been sitting here the whole time and watching Naruto and Sasuke, two genins fight Zabuza, and jounin, now that's just wrong! Well at least I'm not Kakashi, because than I would be a jounin trapped in a bubble, watching two of my students fight an enemy I couldn't beat. I feel sorry for him... What was that? I need to get back to watching.' I sighed, thinking about how worthless I am right now. I was too preoccupied with my thoughts that I didn't notice that Zabuza had dodged the kunia, and let go of the water bubble, freeing Kakashi, until I heard the water splash back into the lake. I thought the splash of water was Kakashi, but it turned out in was Naruto hitting the water below, and Kakashi quickly blocking Zabuza's attack on Naruto with the giant Shuriken. From the shocked look on Zabuza's face, I could tell that Kakashi was giving him such a glare, that if he wasn't 'Demon of the Mist,' he would have just pissed his pants.

"Kakashi- sensei!!" Sakura yelled in relief.

"Baa!" Naruto gasp for breath when he surfaced.

"Naruto, great plan, you guys have grown up, you the most Naruto." Kakashi praised.

"Hehe. I know right??! The aim of the shadow clone wasn't to defeat Zabuza, but to hide the fact that I had transformed into the evil wind Shuriken. Of course I didn't think that I could beat him, but I thought if only we could break open that water prison." Naruto explained. 'OOOHHH, so when I saw him transform into the shuriken, it wasn't a shadow clone. Man I must be losing my touch; I use to be able to tell the difference between a clone and the caster. I need to train more.' I decide in my mind.

"Hehe, I got distracted and released to jutsu." Zabuza said.

"Wrong!! You didn't release it. You were 'forced to release it." Kakashi stated. Zabuza glared

"I'll tell you that I don't fall for the same jutsu twice. What will you do?" Kakashi asked.

"Bah!" Zabuza said before he jumped from Kakashi. Kakashi jumped at the same time, distances himself even more. The two of them landed at the same time. The moment that landed the started to form handsigns so fast it looked like a blur to me.

"WATER DRAGON BLAST JUTSU!" They yelled at the same time. The water around both of them began to form two giant dragons, attacking each other, spraying the water everywhere.

"Guu! AHHH!" Sasuke and Sakura yelled in surprise, trying to shield them from the water that was rushing towards them. When the water receded, we all saw Kakashi once again blocking Zabuza on the water, staring each other right in the eye. Zabuza suddenly moved away from Kakashi did the same thing. They both ran in a circle to only stop, each with one hand in the air, and one by their face. Zabuza looked confused, finally noticing that Kakashi was coping everything that he was doing no doubt.

'Reading them." Kakashi said out of the blue. Zabuza quickly changed his hand positions; the look of fear was clear on his face, even from where I was still sitting. 'Hee, he must be freaking out, think that Kakashi can read his mind. Ha!'

"Heh, all you're doing is coping me." Zabuza said.

"YOU CAN'T EVEN BEAT ME YOU MONKEY BASTARD!" Kakashi and Zabuza said at the same time. Zabuza’s eyes widen.

"DAMN YOU!! I'll make it so you can never open that mouth again!" Zabuza said as he formed more handsigns, only to stop suddenly and look at Kakashi in shock. He stared at Kakashi for a few seconds before Kakashi yelled out,

"Water Explosion Jutsu!!!" Zabuza was then hit with a MASSIVE amount of water. Because the sheer amount of water, Kakashi had no control of where it went, so it went everywhere. For the water Dragon jutsu, I was able to stay in one place, but the water this time lifted me right off the ground and into the current.

"AHH-" my yell was cut off by the water. I was violently moved by the water until I ran straight into a giant boulder. I tried to hang onto the rock, but I was loosing grip. I almost let go before someone fished me out of the water... I slowly opened my eyes half way to see who saved me; all I saw was an ANBU mask from the mist. 'A tracker Nin.'

"Are you all right." The tracker Nin asked. Judging by his voice, I would say he is a boy, and the same age, if not just a little bit older the Naruto and Sasuke. I slowly nodded my head, before turning it to find Kakashi. I could barely make out Kakashi in a tree and Zabuza right under him. I saw their mouths open a little, but I couldn't hear them. I managed to keep my eyes open, even after I saw Kakashi pull out a kunia, ready to strike. The Tracker Nin placed me down gently, and then disappeared. I tried to look for him, but didn't find him. I turned my head back to Kakashi and Zabuza, only to see Zabuza slumped over like he was dead, and the tracker Nin in a tree right across from Kakashi. It looked like he said a few words to Kakashi before Naruto ran up to him and pointed a finger to the ninja and what it seemed like yelling at Kakashi.' ‘He must be mad that a kid close to his age can take down Zabuza, Heh, silly little Naruto. Kakashi placed a hand on Naruto's head before looking back up at the Mist ninja. I felt the wind around the tracker Nin stir a little. I looked back to where he was, only to see that he was gone! I moved my head as fast as I could without causing pain, failing horribly. I winced in pain. I saw the tracker Nin was now beside the dead Zabuza. He picked him up and turned to the Kakashi once again. My hearing must have starting to return a little because I could hear him now talk again.

"-dispose of the body. Since it seems to be a body with many secrets." He lifted one of his hands and formed a single handsign. "Farewell, oh and a member of you team is fairly wounded, I think it is best that she is looked after very soon." With that, the tracker in disappeared, bring Zabuza's body with him. 'Strange, unless the Mist was changed the way it has worked again, he should have work on Zabuza's body right there, I wonder what's going on.' My eyes slowly began to close once again, with the tense of the battle gone, my adrenaline stopped flowing, making me extremely tired. I felt someone pick me up and move me out of the tree. I heard the other talking, but I didn't care, I just wanted to sleep for now, not caring what monsters will meet me in dream land.

So this is Chapter 13! Sorry about the lateness. I'm not so happy with this chapter, so it took me a while to write it all out.
