"Oh my god, I give up," I groaned, putting down my seventh empty container and falling back into the sofa.

The guys laughed at me, although looking like they were struggling quite a bit too. "So you are all talk," Levi teased.

Very aware of the food baby I was nursing, I looked at his incredulously. "I literally just ate seven times the recommended adult portion."

He shrugged. "I've seen better efforts."

I gaped at him. How was he not either genuinely impressed or disgusted by my attempts.

"Okay I'm out," Alex moaned, throwing down a container of pad kapow. "I may puke."

We laughed, and I had a moment. All night things had felt so normal. Okay yes, I was still fighting very hard to hold back whatever primal instinct within me wanted to just stare and touch Levi the whole time, but I think I had things quite under control for once. He'd fit in perfectly into our little routine, mercilessly siding with Alex and then dishing it right back. It was fun, and I'd probably laughed more in the past few hours than I had in days.

"Does that mean I win?" Levi smirked.

I was too full to fight it. "I hate to say it, but yes."

"Pay up then losers!"

Alex scoffed. "We didn't put money on it, nice try Crestfield."

'I need some kind of prize," Levi continued smugly. I rolled my eyes and reached for my glass.

"Danni will give you a lap dance," Alex said casually. Shocked, I snorted and inhaled my water too fast, resulting in a choking fit.

"Alexander!" I protested, through coughs. I couldn't even look in Levi's direction, too embarrassed.

Alex raised his hands. "I mean you need some practice for your lady-of-the-night career -"

"Alex," I groaned, dropping my head into my hands. He so had to go ruin things.

"It's okay, Danielle. You can tell he really is the one wanting to give the lap dance," Levi's beautiful voice delivered the perfect serve.

I cracked up, watching Alex protest. Laughing, I raised my hand to Levi for a hi five, to which he grinned and obliged. Our hands only made contact for a second, but I couldn't miss the electric feeling on my skin. Seriously, what the hell.

I don't know if he felt it too, but he lost a bit of the humour in his eyes, his face partially clouding over. That couldn't be a good sign for me.

"I should get going," Levi said, putting down his last container. My stomach dropped in disappointment. Stop being stupid Danni.

"Don't worry about that, Alex will clean it up," I grinned at Alex, and hauled myself off the sofa.

"Thanks again for dropping my bag off," I trailed as Levi stood and collected his things. Alex got up too, and we all walked towards the door.

"Not a problem. Thanks for letting me intrude." He smiled at me, a rare real smile that made me weak at the knees. I smiled shyly back, resisting (and failing) the urge to not get lost in those eyes.

Alex cleared his throat, breaking the trance. Levi held out his hand and they shook again, then he turned to me.

Oh god. Do we hug? No, we barely know each other. Too obvious. Shake hands? That just felt wrong. I stood there like a deer headlights. Sensing my freak out, Levi chuckled, winked at me and stepped out the door. Okay, or we could just do nothing. That's cool too.

We watched as his car disappeared, then went back inside.

"Don't say a single word," I groaned, aware of the evil grin on Alex's face.

He laughed, rolling his eyes. So maybe I wasn't doing that good of a job at hiding it.
