《My darling mate - Klaus x OC》12 #

"There was a whole family of originals." Elena's voice breaks my out of my thoughts and I roll my eyes at her, making Elijah tug on a stand of my hair in reprimand. She hadn't listened to a single word that Jeremy said to her.
"My father was a wealthy landowner in a village in Eastern Europe. Our mother bore seven children."
"So your parents were human?" I groan and thump my forehead against Elijah's chest causing him to play with my hair. I decide to break my silence. "If vampires are not able to have children how do you think they were made? they were created through magic, not blood."
"Our origin as vampires is a very long story, Elena. Just know, we're the oldest vampires in the world. We are The Original Family and from us, all vampires were created."
"Right, but Klaus is your brother. And you want him dead" Her words piss me off and I spin around to face her. "You do realize that Jeremy had died multiple times because of you already, right. I know you didn't kill him, but if you really care about his safety then you would have walked away when you found out about Stefan, not jump into bed with him."
"I need some air" Elijah interrupts Elena when she opens her mouth to respond to me, glaring the whole time. "I'm still feeling a tad...Dead. Come" I can't help but smirk at his words as he pulls me outside. Sassy Elijah was now officially my favorite.
The three of us walk down the steps as Elijah talks away, our arms still linked. "As you can see nothing can kill an original. Not sun, not fire, not even a werewolf bite. Only the wood from one tree. A tree my family made sure burned."

"That's were the white ask for the dagger comes from." I pipe in, looking at Elena over my shoulder as she followed behind like a puppy.
"The witches won't allow anything truly immortal to walk the Earth. Ever creature need to have a weakness in order to maintain balance."
"So if the sun can't kill an Original, Why is Klaus so obsessed with breaking the Sun and Moon curse?" I laugh at Elena words and Elijah even gives her an amused look.
"Right. The Curse of the Sun and the Moon. It's all so biblical sounding don't you think?"
We stop at the green bridge and I jump up to sit on the railing while Elena thinks over Elijah's words. Giving up she asks "What's so funny?"
Elijah shows us a memory of his conversation with Klaus about his drawings. "I don't understand. So Klaus drew the Aztec sketches about the curse?" I can't help but roll my eyes at my sister. I had told Jeremy and Jenna about all of this. I knew that Jeremy had passed it all on to Elena, clearly she didn't listen or even believe it.
"Roman scrolls, African tribal etchings, and any other culture or continent we felt like planting it in."
"But why?"
"Because everyone else would do the work for him. Best way to look for a long-lost rock and a doppelgänger is to have every supernatural looking for it." Elijah nods in agreement to my statement and I look over the view of the lake. Sometimes I would forget how peaceful the Lockwood estate could be.
"So it's not Aztec at all?" I could tell that even Elijah was getting slightly annoyed at her constant questioning.
"The Curse of the Sun and the Moon is fake, it doesn't exist" With that he grabs me off the railing and simply walks away from Elena making her follow after a slight pause. I don't react to him picking me up, he did it randomly sometimes. When I asked him why he would always say something about making sure I was safe, His way of protecting me was to make sure I didn't leave his sight.

"What?"
When he puts me back down I check my phone. Klaus had gone ack into Alaric's body in order to scare Elena by spending time with Jenna. I had explained it all to her so she wouldn't get freaked out at all an so she could either play along if she wanted or just get to know him.
Jenna was sending me updates, apparently my mate was trying to charm her with wine and a cooked lunch. I smile knowing that despite everything Nick was still trying to create a good impression on my loved ones.
Elijah places his arm around my shoulders as we walk around the pond, Elena on his other side. I was admiring the view while Elijah spoke. "Klaus and I faked the Sun and Moon Curse, dating back over a thousand years. "
"But if there's no curse..." Elijah interrupts Elena correcting her "There's a curse. Just not that one. The real one's much worse. It's a curse placed on Klaus.
"What are you talking about?" I can feel Elena's phone vibrating against my ribs from Elijah's suit pocket
"Klaus has been trying to break it the last thousand years and your are his last hope." Eli informs her and Elena just tilts her head slightly as she becomes even more pushy in her pursuit for answers.
"Well, What is this Curse?"
"Your phone will not stop its incessant buzzing. Answer it please." I zone out from the conversation when Elena takes her phone, instead I lean my back against Elijah, my heels hurting my feet slightly from walking on the uneven grass. Even with my vampire side I still found was to be slightly clumsy. I feel Elijah shift his weight slightly to balance himself.
I lose myself in my thoughts only to be brought back when Elijah walks away making me fall to the ground with a thud. I hear him chuckle as he fixes his suit again. I groan before jumping up and running after the cheeky bastard. It was very rare that Elijah let out his childish side so I wasn't mad as I tagged him before running off laughing. We both spent the evening playing tag like children as we wait for Elena to return. We only used our human speed to make things more interesting.
My heels and bag had been abandoned on the steps somewhere while Elijah left his Blazer on a bench near the pond.
I managed to tackle him to the ground when we hear Elena's car pulling up the drive way, the both of us laughing before we use our speed to find our discarded items. When Elena found us we acted composed as if we had spent the evening acting like the adults we are, rather then letting out our inner children.

Leslie's Poems
This is a continuous collection of poems that I've written in chronological order, starting with the oldest and ending with the newest. This will be updated periodically and may have mass updates. More often than not, each poem either will be written in free verse or with zero adherence to traditional poem structure. Some poems may imply situations and actions that can be triggering or annoying, especially the earlier poems. I recommend skipping most of the ones from 2018-2019, or just not reading this at all if you feel it may hurt you. Please enjoy and read at your own discretion.

Project Alpha: A Summary - 'Old Republic to Current Operational Era'
This is the beginning story of an ongoing epic written over a period of ten years. A labor of love for me. We start the story with the summary of what started it all: Project Alpha. A project conceived by the Supreme Chancellor to prevent another Hyperspace Conflict. The project; like all government run projects, spawned other 'side-initatives'. One of which results in the creation of our five main protagonist which are the main characters of the next series of stories. We start at the end of the Great Hyperspace Conflict. The prologue addressing what effect all of this has on the New Hope Era of the Star Wars saga.
