《Breaking Hermione》With Me

Tom's eyes were gleaming, I could feel the danger and heat emanating off him. I felt scared. I'd felt fear around him before but this time was different. The adrenaline was making my senses sharper. I could pick up on everything going on around me with unnerving clarity. The sound of my own breathing. The silence around us.
"You're not going to try and stop me?" Tom's low voice said quietly. "I could do anything to you right now, and there's not a damn thing you or any of your pathetic little friends could do about it."
I yanked dress back up as best as I could, my hands shaking. It was embarrassing. I already revealed my boobs and everything it wasn't like I could preserve my dignity when it was all destroyed. I pulled a cardi out of my beaded bag. Tom watched me with faint amusement as I stuffed my arms into the sleeves and pulled it tightly over my chest.
"You're really an unusual girl." Tom Riddle said thoughtfully.
"How so?" I demanded. "Because I have self respect? Or was it because I'm standing up to some low life who likes to sexually exploit women?"
Tom regarded me, his dark eyes taking on a darker look at my choice of words.
"Because you're so innocent." His voice cut through me, edged, intense. "You seek to preserve yourself. You don't want to be like the others. Why not? What drives you to be pure unlike the rest?"
"Purity isn't what you would know." I shot back. "In fact, innocence is nothing like what any of you lot would know."
"It's rare." Tom said, after a deliberate pause. "Some people cling to innocence. But that type of person is very naïve. You strike me as someone who is academically advanced as a witch, but shuns the idea of darkness. It's quite astonishing."
"Here we go again," I rolled my eyes. "Back at it with the whole magic is only powerful when the user is evil and wants to corrupt the entire world talk."
"Open your mind, or someone else will open it for you." Tom more or less threatened me.
"What's that supposed to mean?" I didn't get much of an answer but the slight mocking tilt to his lips said it all. He was obviously plotting something.
"Let's find out." Without any warning at all, Tom snatched my arm. "Only I have the power to do a lot of things. It might pay to keep that in mind." His grip was cold, an iron vice. I couldn't pull my hand back.

He withdrew his wand and touched it once to my exposed wrist.
"Get off me!"
A sharp pain shot up my arm.
"What the hell did you just to me?" I demanded, finally pulling away from him. I held my arm out. It was like I could see something inside my veins darkening- I could be sure.
"I'll put it this way," Tom said, apparently oblivious to the fact I was freaking out.
"I have the power to give life and then take it. So if you don't comply with me bad things are going to happen to you."
I looked around the Common Room feeling more alone than ever. Tom had to have hexed the place for no one to be coming out of their dorms and helping me. Or maybe everyone was scared of him.
"Y-you want me to kill someone or I'll die?"
"No, you stupid little girl." Tom looked at me straight in the eye. "I told you that you weren't ready to kill yet." He chided. "So have a guess what I might want from you now."
I froze, my mind was working so slowly now that terror was gripping my senses. What could he want? I had a fleeting thought but the idea was so abhorrent I rejected it immediately.
Tom stepped closer to me. "Do you want me to give you a hint?" His arms came down mine until they had pinned both of mine to my sides. He was so tall, I was left staring at his chest. "Look at me." He said quietly. I looked up at him, it was like his dark eyes had taken in the shadows in the room.
"I want you."
"I-I'm not yours." I stammered. "And I'm not a tease."
"Assuming that what you say is correct," Tom's eyes raked over my body shamelessly. "Why does the entire school seem to constantly discuss you? And why," he tugged on a lock of my hair roughly, "did you choose to wear an extremely provocative dress tonight knowing full well you were my date?"
"It's not what it seems." I turned away, but almost instantly he was in front of me again, his eyes just daring me to question how his movements were so impossibly fast.
"If you don't sleep with me, I won't reverse this curse." He said emotionlessly. I blinked, my heart beating in my chest was becoming louder, I could hear it in my head.

"I wouldn't go running to Dippet or Dumbledore if I were you, either." Tom looked amused by my fear. "Because I will know if you have, and I won't hesitate to kill you myself."
"So..." I licked my lips, "you want me to sleep with you tonight? Because I won't."
"You don't have a choice," Tom said with the air of someone who had just trapped a rabbit in a hutch. It can't escape, because I've made sure of it.
"The longer you resist me, the weaker you're going to get. So I wouldn't try anything stupid if I were you."
"Why are you doing this?" I said, hating how helpless I felt. "Why?"
"Maybe I like teaching you how to obey me. Muggles get a kick out of breaking in wild horses. I get a kick out of breaking you down until you submit. It's almost the same concept, except I clearly want you in a very different way."
"I'm not some kind of challenge for you to overcome." I snapped. "I'm a human being."
"I am human too. I have wants and needs just like you do, except you are too scared to admit them to yourself." He stepped closer without warning, pulling me closer to him.
"You're so innocent." He laughed. "You're scared and I've barely touched you. I wonder..." His hand traced my cheek, travelling lower until it trailed down my neck, he dipped his head to kiss my neck while his hands were groping me. I was frozen. I couldn't move even if I tried. It was like I was trapped in someone else's body.
Then, as suddenly as it happened, it stopped and he pulled away. "Choose carefully." He said and then as simple as that he left leaving me feeling numb. Maybe I felt even worse than that. It was like I wanted to die.
I slowly made my way up to my dorm and opened the door to find Shalini and Jade wide awake both of them sitting on Jade's bed.
"Where the fuck were you? It's late as hell!" Jade ran over to me taking both my arms. Her large dark eyes widened when they saw my tattered dress.
"Did he..." She didn't finish her sentence, I walked past her and sat beside Shalini on the bed. I didn't blame her for staying silent. I didn't have any words to say myself. It's like all of us were robbed of our voices.
"What happened?" Shalini said after a long moment. I turned to look at her. She had dark shadows under her eyes, probably from a lack of sleep after Tom assaulted her.
"He cursed me," I sighed heavily.
"What?" Jade exploded. "Again? When the hell will he just leave you alone?"
"No, this time it's different. There was a way around the last curse." I said heavily. "This time I don't think it's on the same scale as memory loss. This is life or death. Apparently I'm already getting weaker the more I resist him."
"You're going to die?" Shalini's voice broke. "What?"
Jade paled. "What do you mean, Hermione?"
"I mean he wants me to have sex with him, and if I don't then he won't reverse the curse and I'll die."
"What curse is it? We found a way around the last one so we can find a way around this-"
"No we can't!" I got to my feet, suddenly furious. "We can't, okay Jade? There is no cure. And i can't just tell a teacher about it otherwise Tom is going to know about it and I'll be even more worse off."
"I'm sorry." Jade said quietly. "I guess I was just trying to help-"
"You don't help at all," I lashed out. "It's like this entire time, I've been all alone sorting all of this out myself. Every time I need you guys you're not even there."
Jade and Shalini went really quiet.
"If that's how you think it is," Jade said after a pause. "Fine."
"Jade look I'm sor-"
"Honestly Hermione, just stop. Okay? Just stop." Jade snapped. "I have to get some sleep since I spent most of my fucking night staying up and waiting for your stupid ass to come back from your date with Tom. A date which I don't fucking even know why you bothered to go ahead with in the first place."
Shalini gave me a small apologetic look and got into bed, so did Jade. I walked over to mine and got in the covers pulling them right up to my chest crying silently. I think I just ruined everything.

The Book of Rune
If you like moderately well-researched semi-medieval military logistics with some fantasy twists, and also conspiracy, and exploration, and violence, and maybe a dash of road movie, hey, Ruen just might be your thing. Plot-wise, basically there's a guy who got fired by Death, a kid with pyrotechnic tendencies, and a slave general who wouldn't mind retiring but ended up on a mass suicide mission. If you were looking for a less TL;DR version, a guy who got fired by Death meets a kid with pyrotechnic tendencies, and they try to get the guy un-fired while also trying to come to terms with death together (ooohhhh, look, I'm deep). Meanwhile a slave general does something stupid and ends up being sent on a suicide mission, and he tries to wreak havoc and save lives at the same time. The threads come together, I swear. This is a rough draft of a fantasy semi-book that I've had in the back of my head for some time. I've written a variety of short stories set in the world over the past three years, and I finally kicked myself into writing the actual story. Very much a slow work in progress. Occasional violence (okay, well, maybe more than occasional), occasional foul language.
