《Three Months》Three More Hours

Dimentio couldn't walk in the creek as the two-headed towards the waterfall as a final location, which made him sad. Walking was too painful now. He could hardly support himself and whenever he tried, he would begin to tremble intensely. When Luigi asked, Dimentio would brush it off as simply being tired and feeling a little dizzy.
Heading up to the waterfall, through the woods one last time, was all very emotional because Dimentio knew it was the last thing he had time to do. After this, he was going to have to say goodbye to Luigi and go his separate way before Luigi found out what was really happening to him and where he was really going.
He felt more and more exhausted, but as relaxing while allowing Luigi to carry him through the peaceful woods he loved so much now. He couldn't let himself fall asleep yet, no matter how much his body wanted him to. He had to keep his eyes wide open and take in everything he could. The dimming glow from the sky, the sound of Luigi's consistent footsteps, the feeling of the man in green's steady breathing, the warmth that he emitted, Dimentio could feel it all.
He didn't want to let these feelings go. The feeling of being warm, cold, happy, sad, angry, he didn't want to let any of those go. Yes, he wanted to keep the good things, but he wanted to keep the bad things too. The bad things were a part of him too, and he didn't want to let them go either. Life was full of bad things.
Once they arrived back at the waterfall, the water looked dark blue. Not the same dark blue as the deep ocean, but a midnight-sky dark blue. One that was less terrifying and more gentle. Actually, now that he thought about it, the shades were similar. The dark blue from the ocean was only scary because it felt mysterious and no one could tell what was down there, but the same could be said for the sky. So much of it was unexplored. If anything, the sky should have been more terrifying.
Actually, neither should have been terrifying at all, because they were both simply a part of nature. The ocean surrounded the land and was filled with mystery and life, just as the sky surrounded the whole planet and was too filled with so much.
Luigi carefully set Dimentio down in a soft patch of grass to the left side of the falls. He then sat next to him, leaning back onto his hands and looking at the falls. The gentle mist from the water made the land around them slightly damp and they could feel the cool chill, but it wasn't so powerful as to make them move away.
Dimentio took a short breath in, closing his eyes for a moment, but refusing to fall asleep. He tilted his chin back slightly, and though there were no words being spoken, the world didn't seem silent. He could listen to the gentle rustling of leaves, he could hear the trickling of water, and he could actually feel the soft breeze coming from the falls. This may have been the only location he could actually feel a breeze at. He liked it. The breeze blew away the worry and fear. He could almost imagine the breeze blowing his illness away too.

"Thank you," He whispered, his voice sounding small. He didn't want his voice sounding small as he said that. He wanted those words to be strong because he truly meant them. He wanted those words to feel true and powerful, but he was no longer powerful and he didn't have the strength to make them that way.
Luigi didn't have to turn his head to look at Dimentio since he was already looking at him. See, Dimentio was trying to soak up everything from the world before he left, keeping his eyes open and memorizing it all, but Luigi was keeping his eyes open and watching Dimentio, trying to memorize everything about him before he left. There was a small scar next to Dimentio's left eye, the yellow eye, that he had never noticed before. He wondered where Dimentio had gotten it but wasn't going to ask. He didn't want to ask, because he wanted something to talk about the next time they met. It was the same reason he didn't ask for Dimentio's real name. He wanted a reason to find him again. "For what?" Luigi asked.
"Everything," Dimentio replied, opening his eyes and looking at the sky. "For... teaching me how to live. For helping me see the world. For helping me be happy. I'll... I'll miss you."
He had to try to find the strength to leave soon. He could feel his own weight pushing him down harder and harder, and he had to leave before he fell through the world and into the Underwhere. But he didn't want to leave too soon and waste any moments either.
"Then don't go," Luigi said, his eyes seeming to soften slightly. Dimentio refused to look back at him, having already heard this argument, but Luigi didn't give up this time. He scooted closer, gently grabbing Dimentio's shoulder. "Please," he begged. "I don't want you to go. I want you to stay. Please, please stay here with me!"
Dimentio still didn't reply or look at Luigi. Truth to be told, he didn't have the strength to argue. He didn't want to argue either. He just continued to look up at the sky, wishing that Jaydes wasn't fighting so hard to pull him down and away from it.
"Please!" Luigi begged. "You don't have to leave! I don't want you to leave! Just give me three more months!"
I'm sorry! I can't even give you three more hours, Dimentio wanted to say, but he didn't.
"Come on! Say something!" Luigi exclaimed, placing his hand on the side of Dimentio's face and making him face him. "Do you really want to go? Please, just stay!"
Dimentio paused for a second, looking at Luigi's eyes and seeing that the man in green truly meant his words. He was being honest, he really did want Dimentio to stay. And truth to be told so did Dimentio.
He wanted nothing more than to stay forever. He wanted to keep finding ways to be happy, he wanted to keep spending time with Polterpup, he wanted to feel the tension there was whenever he and Mario were in the same room, he wanted to go on walks with Luigi, he wanted to live!

"Okay."
Luigi drew back slightly, not expecting that answer. Dimentio didn't expect that answer either, and he hated himself for lying like that. It was selfish and cruel, but he didn't want to fight. He wanted to spend the little time he had left feeling happy, and the thought of staying made him feel happy.
"Wait, really?" Luigi asked, lowering his hand and cocking his head to the side in a manner that reminded Dimentio of Polterpup. A smile slowly spread across the man in green's face, his eyes seeming to light up. "You-you're really staying?!"
No.
"Yes," Dimentio breathed, lying back on the soft, slightly damp grass.
He shifted so he was lying on his side and staring at the waterfall, feeling comfortable. Maybe if he just died there, he'd be satisfied. He could see what looked like a small raindrop on a bright, vibrant blade of grass. It was pretty.
"I'll stay..."
Luigi's face looked so bright that it could light up any room he walked into. Dimentio couldn't help but feel happy that he made Luigi's face look like that, even if it was built upon lies.
"I- that's AMAZING!" Luigi gushed. "I-I can't believe it! I can't believe you're staying!"
"Me neither..." Dimentio muttered, yawning and doing his best to keep his eyes open, hoping that Luigi would keep talking so he could focus on the sound of his voice, though it was getting harder and harder to focus on anything. It was as if the entire world was starting to get fuzzy.
"This is just- it's amazing! I mean, I hoped I could convince you to stay, but I didn't think I actually could! Oh my Grambi, I can't wait to show you so much more the world has to offer! Like-"
"Let's not talk about that..." Dimentio quietly interrupted.
"Oh. O-okay!" Luigi smiled, not taking any offense. He was too blinded by the short burst of happiness to wonder why Dimentio didn't want to hear about what their future could hold. Perhaps he was just trying to live in the moment. "Well... what should we talk about?"
"Now..." Dimentio softly replied. "Let's not talk about the future. Let's just talk about now..."
"Now, huh?" Luigi softly chuckled, looking up at the waterfall. "Hmm..." He looked up to the top of the falls, still smiling. "Well, I've never climbed to the top of this waterfall."
"Why not?" Dimentio muttered.
"I never thought about it," Luigi admitted.
"Well... you just did," Dimentio pointed out.
Luigi looked down at him, smiling for a moment.
"I suppose you're right. Wanna come?" He asked.
"No," Dimentio replied. "Too tired... I'll just watch..."
Luigi nodded, silently wishing that Dimentio wanted to come with him, but understanding and not forcing him to. He then started forward, looking at the waterfall and trying to determine the best way to climb it.
It was nice for Dimentio to finally see Luigi experience something new, since all this time Dimentio was the only one who got to experience that very feeling of seeing something extraordinary for the very first time.
Dimentio watched as Luigi climbed, not worried about him falling since Luigi had done many things that were significantly more dangerous than this. He trusted the fact that Luigi would be fine. It was nice to see him climb next to the falls, the moon shining and giving off a light blue glow. It reflected off the water and the shiny wet rocks which surrounded the falls.
He tried keeping his eyes open, but he ended up losing focus. He didn't even realize that he was falling asleep. He didn't try to fight it anymore as it came, he just allowed himself to drift away as he watched Luigi climb, thinking about how happy he was at that moment and hoping that he'd be able to remember this feeling.
Once Luigi got to the top of the falls, he let out a sigh, feeling slightly victorious. He then looked down on everything, feeling that sense of accomplishment one gets when someone does something they've never done before. It was quite a lovely view as well. It wasn't exactly better than the view from down below, just different. The moon seemed brighter up there.
It was almost funny how the same exact things could look so different when viewed from a different angle. The waterfall looked almost unrecognizable from the top, but still beautiful.
However, his favorite thing to look at was Dimentio lying peacefully in the grass. He looked asleep but peaceful. It was nice to see Dimentio at such peace, and seeing him like that warmed Luigi's heart.
"He's staying..." Luigi whispered to himself, smiling.
He couldn't help but think about everything they'd get to do as fall approached. He was sure Dimentio would love the season, seeing all the trees turn to orange and red and feeling as the leaves fell from the sky, falling like dry raindrops. He could almost imagine Dimentio collecting the leaves he deemed special the same way he collected the flowers.
He stayed up there for a moment, thinking of all they could do, then climbed down, heading over to Dimentio, who was still asleep. However, instead of waking him, Luigi gently picked him up in his arms. Dimentio seemed to be lacking sleep, so who would he be to wake him? The man in green then chuckled, seeing the sand in Dimentio's hair and the flowers in his pockets. Small things from this world that Dimentio wanted to keep with him. Luigi quickly made a mental note to set out a vase for those flowers when he got home so they wouldn't die so quickly.
Something that he always hated about flowers was the fact that they died too quickly. When he was little, he'd pick them and bring them home, only for them to rot away by the next week. However, as he grew up he learned that it was natural and nothing to be sad about. The best thing he could do was give them what they needed and help them feel taken care of until they were gone.
"Come on," he whispered to Dimentio, starting back towards his house. "Let's go home."

Second Book of the Soul - Celesi Veil Trilogy When the living essence of three girls are put at risk, giving room for a second essence within themselves, even their hyper developed fantasy world might not be enough to contain their new found ambitions. Another story of another world, these three girls must adapt to their new essence, all while each is left to question if they are truly still even alive. While this story is a sequel of the previous story in the trillogy, it is also fully capable of standing alone in its own light, taking place in a distant corner of a Celese returning readers will be otherwise incapable of recognizing. However, the events of the story are a spoiler for the previous book, in case that matters to anyone. This story takes place over two centuries after the events of Vitae Memorandum, when Celese had developed into an advanced world, improved to a point that it is much like modern-day Earth while still using the gift instead of technology. The Aethyx languages are still present in this book, and even English still exists in the world after the events of the previous book, but are much less of a focus after the same closing events of the previous book. What is instead important is how the ending events of the previous book had resulted in the start of the Instrumentation Era, and exactly how the gift translates in a modern-day sense. While this book is still effectively a fantasy world of its own kind of magic, it isn’t the classical medieval scene that would be typical for such a story. The laws of science still do not exist in Celese, but that didn’t stop it from developing into something that looks similar enough. Earth itself still remains present on the other side of the veil, and its previous exposure continues to shape and advance Celese into the world it has become. This story contains scenes exibiting mania and similar dark themes, as it goes to great length to explore concepts of life and death. While the degree of such themes should not be considered to be as serious compared to matters such as actual horror, the psychological depth is still siginifcant enough to be potentially concerning for people sensitive to matters of this nature, such as any individuals with concerns questioning matters of suicide, mental harm, or a variety of emotional injuries. While none of these subjects actually occur in the story, readers who are currently troubled by such matters may find themselves considering old wounds if they are especially capable of empathy while reading, which could lead to furthered emotional or mental stress. Readers with a high capacity for empathy may find themselves troubled by concerns regarding any potential lack of mental/emotional control as well as considerations regarding the meaning of death. Readers who appreciate subtle dark themes in a story may instead find this to be an interesting twist of the same idea.

8 84A New Kind of Freak (A dragon evolution story)
For dragons, those who dominate the food chain, growth is always a troublesome time. Left to fend for oneself with only a library of memories passed down as their inheritance, no fate is worse than being a failure before birth. What can a small mutated hatchling do in such snowy outskirts? With few options besides magic, the Nexus provides a quick source of power, but that does not mean his enemies were without strength. Levels and stats are available to all in this dragon eat dragon wor- "So... am I really made of Ice-cream?" * * * This is a Progression fantasy where the main concept is about the growing protagonist actually focusing on their own growth without passing through constant hoops for the sake of it. He stays out of trouble, albeit not always successfully, and only cares about evolving enough that he can hold his own weight in the world. Showing that being made of ice-cream isn't a weakness, but a strength when nurtered properly. Also it doesn't end in a protagonist who becomes/kills god, because that just doesn't fit the theme.
