Daniel's POV:

We watched in horror as Carter made a run for the building and then Annabelle almost directly after. I began to question the firemen's capabilities to keep us safe as they had allowed two teenagers into a burning building. I waited in shock and silence for them to appear the minutes seemed like hours. 3 of my friends and my only sister were inside that burning building. I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket and fished it out to see Matt calling me. "Matt?" I answered worryingly thinking he was calling me from the building, "are you ok?" I quickly replied to him. I heard him laugh on the other end I was completely confused, "why wouldn't I be? Sorry me and Liz are missing we just needed to get some petrol for tomorrow" then my heart broke.

He and Elizabeth were not in the building but Carter and Annabelle were, for them. "ANNIE!" I cried, "CARTER!" hoping that somehow they would hear my cries. Then the building blew up, every pedestrian was blown to the floor and covered in some form of debris or glass. "ANNIE!CARTER!" I screamed running towards the building but was held back by the firemen. I was scraping and clawing to get away but they held me too tightly. I felt Elijah take me from them and I did what any friend, any brother would have done - I sobbed and sobbed.

I was sitting in the church listening to hymns play as I stared at the two lifeless coffins before me. Both white, one bearing the picture of my sister and the other of my best friend. Many before me had spoken of how they knew them and how they would be deeply missed but I had zoned everything out and had just stared at the coffins. Their faces on their pictures just smiling at me like the angels they were. My father sat on my left with a dishevelled face and swollen eyes crying into a tissue whereas I sat like them - lifeless. I felt an elbow go into my side as I turned to Gwen as she said slowly, "it's your turn". I rose from my seat in my black tuxedo and quivering lip and walked to the stand.

I pulled out the eulogy I had in my pocket and began, "Carter and Annabelle were family to me, one a blood sister and the other a brother related through spirit, they were brave, strong, beautiful and funny people who were plucked from this earth too soon. Not only were they two people that I loved they were two people that loved each other. There's was an unorthodox love at first but bloomed to be beautiful, like the beautiful people they are and will always be". I sniffled holding back the tears as I continued, "they were so in love I was almost certain they would marry, have children and live the life most of us dream of", I felt a single tear slip from my eye as an anger raged from me, "now they won't, they aren't going to be married, aren't going to have kids, aren't going to live happily after because they aren't anymore". I let out a needed sob then continued, "I don't know if they died in pain or in fear but I know they died together and that's what they would have wanted and I know they will be greatly missed by me and us all but they haven't died, I won't let them as they will live in my heart, mind and soul for as long as I live".

The priest led us outside as we watched them be put into the ground next to each other to be eternally together and forever happy.

A/N

Hey guys!! I can't believe we've reached the end!!! WOOOO. This scene was so hard to write for me because i had genuinely fallen in love with my characters and hope you guys did too. I didn't want this story to be like all the others on Wattpad that end the same way, i wanted it memorable and i hope i've done that for you guys. 

Please don't hate me too much. :))))))))))))))))))
