Annabelle's POV:

Matt broke from the hug and turned to Carter who was heading towards us. I straightened my top and pushed my hair behind my ear as Carter paced quite quickly over to us three. "Carter can I talk to you?" Matt said as he finally reached us. I could see in Carter's face that he was going to say no but Danny elbowed him and Carter nodded. They walked a few feet away and were talking too quietly to hear what it was about but in the ended they walked over laughing and they looked friendly again. I smiled and then pulled out my phone which had been vibrating constantly for a few minutes. I had multiple texts and calls from Tara and it was 8:34, we always met at 8:30 before lessons started at 9. I took off in a run as I left the boys wondering where I was running to in the car park.

I skidded into the library as I was hushed by Miss Tomins the librarian and went to find Tara. I found her sitting in the English Literature section and I walked up to her. "Tara!" I whispered hugging her from behind, she chuckled and told me to sit down. She began to update me about her and Elijah's current situation. It turned out that Elijah had liked her ever since he had kissed her at the party. It was so sweet how she talked about him and he had asked to be her girlfriend and he had asked her to go on a date in a couple of weeks. "You can get dressed at my house" I said excitedly, she nodded. I had to be there for her date with the guy she had been crushing on for years. She turned to me with a raised eyebrow and said, "so?". I looked at her for a moment with confusion as I realised she was referring to me and Carter. I proceeded to tell her absolutely everything but not into detail of course....

"I guess you threw order out the window" she said giggling, I looked at her with my blushed cheeks as she continued, "you meant to go on a date and then have sex and not the other way around". Tara was giggling way too loud and hard as Miss Tomin came round the corner and shushed us. We took ourselves out of the library and began to walk to first period. We walked around the corner and saw Danny, Gwen and Carter all hanging about in the corridors. We walked across the hallway trying not to be spotted but it was too late. "Annabelle!" I heard Carter shout and Tara elbowed me and with a smirk she waved and left. "Tara" I hissed as Carter came beside me. I turned to face him and gave him a nervous smile, "you ok?" he asked looking at me. I nodded and looked back over to where Daniel and Gwen had been but they were now gone. "I thought I'd walk to class with you" Carter said rubbing the back of his neck, "if that's ok with you?". I smiled at how genuinely nervous he seemed and nodded, we didn't have the same class but I supposed it was in the same area.

After lessons I met Tara in the canteen and sat down with a sigh. Psychology was a real pain in my ass, I enjoyed the topic but when it came to the maths I just wanted to cry my eyes out and collapse to the floor. Tara laughed "that bad?" she questioned, I just nodded. I could hear loud laughter and to my right were Danny, Carter, Gwen, Victoria and Matt all laughing excitedly. I didn't mean to stare, oh who am I kidding, I wanted to stare at Carter all day. I looked over at Tara who was smiling evilly towards me. "Why are you looking at me like that?" I questioned trying my hardest not to blush, she shook her head and took a bite of her sandwich. I looked over at my brother's table and instantly locked eyes with Carter, he brought his phone into eyesight and pointed at it as simultaneously my phone vibrated.

I smiled and looked up to see he had already left, I picked up my bag and winked at Tara as she began to munch her sandwich with her friend Abigail talking into her ear.
