《Snatched》Chapter 1

Okay...all I have to do is breathe and I'll be fine.
...
"Nope, I'm not fine Shoto let's go back,"
You turned on your heel, hair whipping around, and started to speed walk away from the giant H shaped building, only to have your wrist roughly grabbed by your companion.
"You are going to be fine," he stated shortly "Besides, we're in the same class."
"But Sho," you wined as he pulled you towards the building "There are going to be new people and I'll have to start conversations and ask them about their quirks and I'll die"
You stared at the back of your friend's head, his dual colored hair blowing slightly in the breeze, as he blatantly ignored your complaints continuing to drag you forwards.
You muttered under your breath about how you were going to yeet yourself off a building if the first thing you said to someone was 'hey what is your quirk'. It has happened too many times to count.
You freed your wrist catching up to your partner. Glancing to the side you noticed a tiny smirk on his face due to your antics, and the memory of all of he times you had met people and immediately asked about their quirks.
"Jeez Sho, don't laugh at my misery" you feigned being offended and grinned. It's not like the sweet cinnamon roll that is Shoto Todoroki could ever hurt your feelings on purpose.
You actually were pretty excited about attending a new school, especially because it was the number one hero academy in all of Japan. The issue was that you would have to talk to new people which is not your forte.
I know at least four people going into to the hero course so I should be fine friend wise and quirk wise.

Speaking of new people, you were surrounded by students wearing the same UA uniform as you, most of whom you have never met before. The only exception being a girl with a big ponytail whose hair rose above the crowd of people finding their way to their classes.
You let out a shriek in excitement.
"Oh look Sho! It's that one really nice girl I met at the entrance exam!" You exclaimed shaking Shoto's arm."Gasp! She's going the same direction as us! Do you think she is in our class!?"
"What happened to throwing yourself off a bridge if you had to talk to anyone" Shoto
said suppressing a smile at your excitement.
"She doesn't count, she talked to me first and was nice. Also, not a bridge a building! And I said yeet Sho, come on get with the times."
"Even I know that people don't use 'yeet' anymore" Shoto stated blandly.
"Well excuse me for not reaching your 'slang standards'. Next time I will attempt to use more frivolous words" your voice slowly changed to a British accent to accompany your mocking tone.
"Your attempt at an accent is terrible" Shoto remarked, but you could see a hint of a smile playing at his lips.
You smiled evilly thinking of a great way to indulge in one of your hobbies, annoying Shoto.
You put the back of your had to your forehead and draped yourself again the nearest wall.
Shoto stared at you, confusion lacing his normally calm features, "What are you-" you quickly cut him off.
"To insult me in such a way! Who would have thought you could be so rude?!" you wailed faking a posh voice and making the people around you turn to look at the boy standing beside you. You were about to continue your theatrics, but stopped when you noticed a certain grey-eyed female looking towards you. Not wanting to embarrass yourself in front of the friend you only recently made, you quickly brushed yourself off and waved at her from across the hall.

She smiled back and gestured to her wrist as though pointing to a watch, singling that you and your currently extremely annoyed friend should hurry up.
"Come on!" You said grabbing Shoto by the arm completely disregarding the scene you had just made.
You and Shoto made your way to your assigned classroom and stopped in front of the door.
You immediately started to get excited. The idea of becoming a hero in this very room overpowering your nervousness.
You would finally get to become a hero.
"This is going to be awesome! We are going to become heroes and learn how to save people in this room right in front of us! Are you ready Sho-"
He did not just do that.
"You little ass!" you yelled throwing open the door that your so-called friend had just slammed on your face.
"Shoto Todoroki I swear to god I will actually- "
Author's Note
Hey! I'm really excited to be starting a new project! I wanted to start on your first day at UA because I personally get bored reading prologues. You will have flashbacks to before your first day that will explain your past but I thought why not jump right into the action!

The Cyclical Nature of Time
A girl’s life ends unexpectedly early, or so it would seem. Instead of eternal nothingness, she wakes up in an empty valley with no clue how she got there. Taking her predicament in stride, she sets out to do something about it. Unfortunately for her, the first couple of people she meets aren’t much help. They claim they haven’t heard of electricity and dress as if they were on a break from their job at a Viking-themed amusement park. MC is a somewhat normal girl. She's pragmatic and not very angsty. The story is tagged with anti-hero, but to be clear, she is not a villain. She does good if she can, she just isn't morally motivated to do so. The story starts out smelling of fantasy but will eventually shift towards sci-fi. It contains some supernatural elements and has a strong lead, but it is not your usual power trip. Expect a story that takes its time, but not to the point where entire chapters are spent on mindless chit-chat. I’m not into that. This is my first serious attempt at writing and I've learnt a lot writing this. Unfortunately, that shows. Chapter 1-10 is slow and rather pointless. Things get better, but it is not until chapter 25 or so that I began understanding how to structure chapters and to make them support the larger story. I publish about 3000 words a week (every sunday) but I write about 10000 words a week. Sticking to that pace, which is easy, the last chapter will be out by July.

Dog Days in a Leashed World
Life is not easy at the bottom of the food chain. And in the Kingdoms of Magica, the absolute bottom belongs without question to the puppy-like lowbie zone trash known as mongrels. Born to an unfinished zone with only bored, murderous outpost guards for neighbors, the lives of these fluffy balls of hapless nuisance are short, dull, and deeply confused. Because after all: What's the point of a mob that no one can be bothered to hunt, in a zone utterly lacking in reasons to visit, in a game that was already the height of trash fantasy nonsense? Well it may not be much, but it's their life, dammit. And if Shh, the mongrel bearing the questionable distinction of smartest pup in his pack, has anything to say about it, they won't be on the bottom forever. Because that's the silver lining of being on the bottom: the only way left to go is up.
