《My Princess》Chapter 27: Isabella

September 20, Sunday

I wake up in the middle of the night to Graysons snoring. Yes, I slept with him AGAIN. I just can't help myself. It feels so good sleeping with him.

Luckily I was on top of Grayson so it wouldn't be a struggle to get up. I slowly raise myself off of his chest trying not to wake him up. I look over to the clock to see it was 3am. Why did I have to wake up?

As I'm walking to the door I hear the bed sheets move. "Bella? Where are you going?" I see Graysons form rise from the bed.

"I'm just getting water, I'm thirsty." I say softly tiptoeing to the door. "I'll get it." Grayson says getting out of bed.

I run over to the bed and push his chest down onto the bed. He gives me a questionable look but I just pull the cover over his body. "I think I can get water by myself. I'm a big girl." I say running my fingers through his hair. He closes his eyes and shutters slightly before I leave.

I go to the kitchen and grab a glass from the cabinet. I then fill it up with water before looking out of the kitchen window at the darkness. Other than the moon of course.

As I'm scanning the forest I see a pair of yellow eyes staring right at me. What was that? I set the glass down then walk to the front door. I look through the window to see the eyes gone.

I open the door and walk out onto the porch. I wanted to see it again. "Grayson, somethings out here." I yell from outside. I tiptoe off the porch onto the dirt of the ground. Grayson then comes running out of the house towards me.

"Come inside. It isn't safe." He says pushing me towards the house. Before I could move anywhere a loud growl emits from behind us. I turn around to see the unthinkable. My eyes were popping out of my head and my jaw was on the ground, I was petrified.

Grayson immediately pushes me back hard enough to were I was was more than 2 meters away from him and I was on the ground. "Bella run!" Grayson growls in front of me.

I look past him at the large brown beast. His eyes were focused on me rather than Grayson. His claws digg into the mud as more wolfs came from behind him.

I barely noticed that Dean and another man had shown up besides Grayson. Although before anything could be done, the wolfs lunge at them. I scream as I scattered onto my feet. And right before my eyes, I saw it.

Grayson had turned into one of them. I watch as his clothes and skin were ripped off his body. He had grown to a size as big as a car. Black fur grew tremendously fast as well as his claws. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Werewolf's were real!

Finally listening to my brain, I ran. I ran as fast as I could. I ran through the forest hoping I would maybe hit somewhere familiar. Anywhere would be nice.

Rocks and tree limps slashed my feet but I kept running. Mostly on adrenaline. Sadly for me, I tripped and rolled halfway down a hill. When I got to the bottom I hit a rock hard on my stomach.

I struggled to get up but I wasn't gonna stay with wolfs. Grayson had been lying to me the entire time. It makes sense though. His weird growls, the red eyes, how warm he is. How could I be so stupid!

As I'm running I stop at a pound. The moon hit it perfectly making it crystal clear. Crystal clear? My dreams. They were warning me about this. I thought I was crazy!

My feet soon give out and I land at the edge of the pound. This is when...

Just then I hear a sound. The sound of paws hitting the ground. It was a wolf. As it gets closer I give up. I feel pain all over, there was no way I would be able to stand. The wolf then appeared, showing itself in the light. It was Grayson. I could tell by the eyes and fur.

Tears start to run down my face for the first time in what feels like forever. I was gonna die and nobody would know. I'm such a let down.

I slump to my knees with my head hung down. Grayson's form came closer and closer until it was right in front of me. At a arms length. I hold myself as I feel my body begin to shake.

Just then I hear Grayson whimper. Whimper! I look up barely to see him laying down with his head on his arms. Was he surrendering to me? His eyes connect with mine sending a shock of electricity through me. He whimpers again before nuzzling his nose into my knee.

It's still Grayson right, it's not like he would hurt me. Right? Taking the chance, I reach my arm out to touch the wolf. I slowly place my hand on top of his head. Instantly I feel much calmer and relaxed. Tears still stream down my face from the events happening right in front of me.

I run my hand up and down his head slowly. After sitting their in silence for a little while I wipe my tears away. I can't believe I was crying. I stand up wiping the dirt of Grayson's pants. I feel so tired now. It was like 4am.

Grayson stands up on all four quickly. He then nods his head towards the hill we just went down. "I can't walk anymore." I say lowly feeling my feet burn. Grayson stands for a second without moving until he nods his head to his back. I look at his body before looking back into his eyes. Ok.
