Chapter 17 – Finally Happy… Wait, What Is She Doing Here?
One week later...
"Hayden, stop. We need to go downstairs," I said to the boy who was constantly kissing me down. I heard him murmur as he kissed my neck down my shoulders. He came back up and kissed my cheek working his way to my lips. I moaned and wrapped my arms around his neck involuntarily and I felt him wrapped his around my waist bringing me closer to him. He bit my lip asking for entrance but I refused him. He growled against my lips and I laughed. He bit my lip harder this time and I gave in. His tongue brushed against mine and we both fought for dominance but eventually, he won. I felt his fingers come in contact with my back and I gasped and slightly arched my back. When I pulled away, we were completely breathless but that didn't stop him from once again kissing me down my neck.
"Hayden, we've been in here for two hours now," I notified him, "and three-quarters of that, we were making out. It's already past two in the evening."
"So, what your point?" he asked, I could feel his breathe on my ear. I shivered slightly and he tightened his hold on me. I placed the palm of my hand on his firm chest and looked at him with my eyebrow raised. He groaned and buried his head in the crook of my neck.
"Fine, we'll get up," he grumbled and got up unhappily. I laughed at his pouting face as he strutted to the bathroom. I heard him mutter about how we could have stayed in here all day and that I was just getting up to see other people. I rolled my eyes and went over to put on some clothes. I pulled out one of Hayden's T-shirts (a good one by the way) and a pair of his boxers. Then, I went over to the mirror to see what the ass did to my hair. My eyes widened at what I saw. It looked like a tornado went through it and didn't think it did much damage so it just came right back.
"Hayden, look what you did to my hair!" I shouted at him from where I was.
"I bet you still look beautiful, Zara," he said as the shower went off. I growled and grabbed my hairbrush and comb. After I got the knots out, I straightened it so it actually looked like my hair. Then, I noticed red marks on my skin. I tilted the T-shirt to look at them and saw that there was about six or seven ON EACH SIDE OF MY NECK! I am really gonna kill Hayden one of these days...

I tried to hide the hickeys with my hair and the T-shirt but some were still gonna be noticeable. I angrily stomped downstairs to the kitchen and grabbed an apple.
"Somebody's angry?" I heard a voice as I walked in the living room. I turned from glaring at the wall and looked over at James, "Hey, don't take out your anger on me. Just asking a question." His arm was around Lilly and she was trying not to laugh.
"What's so funny?" I spat at her and that made her burst into laughter. I gave her a confused look and then turned to look at James who was chuckling as well, "what the hell is so funny?"
"James...James said that...that you..." Lilly tried to say through her laughter. I sent a death glare at James as I listened to Lilly.
"What did Mister Smart mouth say now?" I growled as I got up. James gulped as I slowly walked up to him.
"Look what you've done now Lilly. You've set the Beast on me," James said dramatically. Lilly finally calmed down and told me what James said.
"He said that Hayden probably didn't find any food last night so he decided to eat your skin instead," she said then cracked up again.
"Lilly," James whined and then got up and ran as I ran after him. He ran out the back down and a few people were giving us a few confused looks. I ignored them and focused on my target: James. Then an amazing idea came to me. I stopped running when James looked behind him.
"James, come here I'm not gonna hurt you," I cooed at him.
"That's what you said the last time," he protested and back away because he saw me still walking towards him. I shook my head at him.
"No, the last time it was called for. That was all you," I responded still walking.
"But that wasn't meant for you. It was for---" he said but had to stop when he fell backwards into the pool. Ahh, my plan worked. I roared up in laughter and held my stomach when I saw him come back up.
"You're gonna pay for that, Zara!" he shouted angrily, "these were new jeans and brand new shoes." I laughed so hard that I fell on the floor with tears falling down my cheeks.
"What the hell is going on?" I heard Hayden ask as he came out. The elderly women who were out here only said 'Alpha' as they bowed to him and then went back inside. Then Hayden came over to me then smiled when he saw I was laughing.

"What's so funny?" he asked me. I pointed to where James was now coming out of the pool. Only the sight of him made me started dying with laughter again. Hayden looked at him and then chuckled and shook his head in amusement.
"Oh, you think this is funny?" James asked Hayden as he glared at him, "these were new jeans," he said pointing at his now wet jeans, "and these were new leather shoes," he finished while pointing at his 'ruined' sneakers.
"Dude, you should like a girl who just broke her nail," Hayden said to him as he helped me off the ground. I laughed at that and leaned on him then watched as he glared at us, "Ok, how about this. I get you two more pairs of jeans and two pairs of new sneaks?" Hayden suggested as he wrapped his arms around my waist from behind me. Instantly, James' glare and frown turned into a grin.
"And that's why you're my best friend," he said and I rolled my eyes. He turned away and was about to go inside when Hayden called him back.
"No wet...clothes in the house. Don't give Maria extra work," he said to him. James raised his eyebrow at him.
"You didn't care about that before," he said.
"Yeah, and I didn't like some rogues either but things change," Hayden replied which made me 'aww' at him then turn around and kiss him.
.....................................................................................................
Two hours later...
We were all watching the comedy movie, Piranha, when someone knocked on the front door. I turned to Hayden who was deep in the movie.
"Were you expecting someone?" I asked him. He turned to me and shook his head.
"Why?"
"I heard someone knocking on the door," I said then got up, "I'll just check who it is." Hayden glanced back at me curiously then started watching the movie again. I rolled my eyes and went to the door. When I opened it, standing there was none other than the beautiful Natalya but she didn't see me standing here due to the fact that she was searching her purse.
"Oh, thank goodness, I was wondering when one of you boys would---" she started but completely stopped when she saw me at the door, "Ew, what are you doing here?" she asked saying 'you' with so much venom.
"I should be asking you that question, but then I forgot that you work here," I said smirking at her. She gasped and looked at me with surprise.
"How dare you talk to me like that," she gasped out.
"Bitch, I talk to whoever I want the way I want," I said and she gasped at me again. I rolled my eyes. Like seriously, what is with all the gasps. We're not in Hollywood you know...
She pushed past me roughly and went to the living room.
"Please, come right in," I muttered sarcastically as I shut the door then went to the kitchen. I grabbed a bottle of water then started walking to the living room.
"...And the way how that bitch just looked at me. I can't believe it! But what I don't understand is why the hell is she alive? She should have been killed before I left...or even during the time I left!" I heard Natalya shout in the living room. I stood behind the door listening to the heated conversation.
"Natalya, just listen to me. We---" Hayden started to explain but she was ranting on.
"...I was planning to come home and get a nice relaxing day but that bitch just ruined it..." she said then sounded like she was cut off.
"Firstly, stop calling her that," Hayden said and I smiled slightly at the thought of him defending me like that, "and for the last time Natalya, could you just quit ranting and give me a chance to explain?"
"Hay Hay, we shouldn't have to be arguing about her," she said in a calmer tone. Hay Hay? Ok then... Then she started whispering so quiet that I couldn't even hear her and after that there was complete silence. Why was there complete silence? What were they doing? What is she---?
I stopped myself with questions and just went inside with the bottle of water in hand. I froze when I saw the both of them. They were both on the couch, Natalya straddling Hayden and they were kissing. My mouth fell open and my bottle fell on the floor. As it hit the ground, they both pulled apart to look who interrupted them.
"I-I uhh..." Hayden tried to explain but I shook my head as the tears silently fell down my cheeks.
"Uhh, Hayden is she your mate?" Natalya asked but I didn't stick around to hear the answer. I just ran to the room and locked the door before breaking down on the bed in tears. Alphas will never change...
********************************************
Aww poor Zara. I feel so bad for her and Hayden, but then again Hayden can be an ass sometimes. I mean, his mate is in the house and he goes and kisses another woman. Who does that! Anyway, my beloved readers, please don't forget to:
