I took a seat in the back of my English Literature class, and opened my book to the page written on the board.
I sighed as the teacher began to go over the book we were currently reading.
I, along with about the 78 other uninterested students in the class didn't even bother taking out our books.
I currently had a bad case of senioritis. For the past 4 years I've been attending Cal State LA, and for the past 5 years I've been living in California.
After Sophia Alice came home, Xander told us that things would be different. I didn't know exactly how serious he was.
2 weeks after the whole situation we moved to California and we've been living in this huge secluded mansion, and Xander's men are always around.
Sophia Alice and I train with the boys 3 days out of the week and on weekends, we learn how to shoot.
Thats my favorite part.
Along with that we've kept our bodyguards Leo and Flynn. Flynn is Sophia Alice's bodyguard, we met him a little bit after we met Leo.
Speaking of Leo, I've actually grown pretty found of Leo. At first I was incredibly reluctant to have somebody following me around all the time, but in all things honesty, he's great company now.
Sometimes.
As for Benjamin...I haven't seen him since the conversation we had in the basement.
No phone calls, texts, nothing.
From the rumors I've heard about Benjamin now, I think its better if it stays that way.
I sighed as I looked around in class.
I picked uo my bag and decided to leave class.
Senioritis 1, Frankie 0.
"Skipping class are we? His familiar voice says.
"Did I ever tell you how annoying you are? I ask.
"All the time, little one."
"Leo as much as I enjoy your company sometimes, I just want to be alone, okay? I ask and turn the corner.
He grabs my arm before I can go any further.
"Is everything okay? This is the third time this week. It's Wednesday." he reminds me.
I roll my eyes.
"I'm aware. I've just been really tired and exhausted lately." I shrug.
He looks at me and I can tell that he doesn't believe me at all.
"You expect me to believe that? He asks.
"Believe me or don't. Either way, I'm leaving," I say and pull my arm from his grip.
I can hear his footsteps following behind me and I roll my eyes.
Downside number 25 of having a body guard.
They're everywhere.
I walk across campus and cross the street to the townhouse that Sophia Alice and I rent.
When I opened the door I was met with the pleasant sight of Sophia Alice and Chris making out.
Great.
"Please, get a room." A murmur.
They quickly separate and Sophia Alice fixes her hair.
I chuckle to myself.

"You were supposed to be in class." She looks confused.
"I skipped." I shrug.
"Again? She asks.
"Yep." I say throwing my bag on the couch.
"So you skip school now? Chris asks with amusement.
"That's news to me." He laughs.
"I only have a few more months until my free from this cult they call school. I don't have the patience anymore." I say.
"Do you know what you're going to do after you graduate? He asks.
I shake my head no.
"I haven't thought that far yet. What I have thought about is what we're doing tonight. We're going to the club." I tell Sophia Alice.
"That actually sounds nice. I could go for that." She says.
Chris gives her a look.
"On a Wednesday? He asks.
"I mean why not." She shrugs.
"Great! We should go to the Sandal." I suggest.
"Frankie. You know the boys are going to be there tonight. They're meeting someone."Sophia Alice reminds me.
"Honestly when is this going to stop? Us avoiding clubs because of the boys. Hiding relationships and everything we do because of them? I'm tired of doing that! I explain.
"You know I'm always on board with some rebellion Frankie. Always." She smiles.
"Then it settled. The Sandal tonight." I smile.
"I hope you know that you two are playing with fire. You guys may think you are pushing back, but your brothers won't make it easy at all." Chris reminds us.
"That's fine. Let them." I shrug.
"I'm coming with you two. Not because I want to see some drama, but because I need to stop your brothers from possibly strangling you two." He smiles to himself.
"Yeah okay, keep telling yourself that." I laugh and head to my room.
I immediately open my closet and began searching for the perfect outfit for tonight.
______________
I strapped on my heels and then stood up to look at myself in the mirror.
I looked hot to say the least.
I grabbed my purse and opened the door to see Sophia Alice already ready.
That will always surprise me.
"Ready to go? I ask.
She nods in response and gets her clutch purse from the counter.
We open the door to go outside where Leo turns around to look at us.
His eyes scan my entire body, and his gaze lingers on me for so long I chuckle.
"Your brothers are going to kill you guys. Then they're going to kill me." He simply says.
I wave him off.
"Oh come on Leo. We want to arrive before the crowd." I say.
He sighs deeply but leads us to the car nevertheless where one of Xander's men is waiting in the drivers seat.
Tonight was going to be fun.
When we reach the club the party scene looks alive and popping.
This is way better than studying at my desk.

"Claude's here, I'm going to go find him." I tell Sophia Alice and Leo.
They both give me a nod and I see Leo scan the club. That was pretty typical of him.
I myself look around to see if I can spit Claude.
Then it clicks.
Claude would obviously be with my brothers, which means he's in the VIP lounge.
If I go and get him, that means my brothers would also know I'm here.
I chose to go anyway.
I climb the stairs and when I reach the top there are 4 security guards waiting there.
I give them a small smile and try to walk in when one roughly grabs my arm.
"Ma'am what do you think you're doing? He asks.
"I'm trying to go in." I say as if it's the most obvious thing ever.
"All those who need to be inside are already in there meaning you can't get in." He says with his grip still rough on my arm.
"I don't care if I'm on the list or not. I need to see Claude." I say.
"I'm afraid I can't let you in." He says.
"Just take me in! I get annoyed.
He looks to the other guards and sighs.
He forcefully pulls my arm and we head into the lounge.
When we disrupt their meeting with our presence I see all of my brothers shocked expression when they see me.
"This lady is insisting that she knows you and wants to speak with you Mr.Daniels." The security guard says.
"She's right," Claude says getting up and coming towards me.
The dumb guard still doesn't let me go.
"You can let go of her." He tells the guard with a pointed look.
He lets me go with an attitude and I look at all my brothers.
Boy if looks could kill.
I innocently wave to them.
Claude grabs ahold of my hand and leads me to a vacant space.
When we're alone he chuckles.
"When you asked where I was going to be, I didn't actually think you were going to show up here."
He then sighs.
"What are you doing here Frankie? He asks.
"I was bored at home. I wanted to have some fun." I shrug innocently.
"You and your sister are so extra wow." He laughs.
"Come downstairs, let's get something to eat." I say.
"You're lucky our meeting ends soon. I was feeling the chicken wings they're serving."
"Ooh they're serving wings? I ask.
"In all flavors too." He smiles.
"Oh yum! Hurry up and finish your meeting then."
"No need to come back in Claude. We've settled the deal." Xander's voice says.
He looks between the two of us and nods his head.
"I'll get a table for us downstairs." He says.
He walks down the stairs and Xander approaches me.
"Frankie. I didn't know you would be paying us a visit tonight." He tells me teasingly.
"I thought you guys were still in Washington? I question.
"This is business Frankie. You never know where they might want to meet." He says.
Now I know that wasn't the reaction from Xander you expected.
It took us a long time to get here, but as of last year, Xander has definitely eased up on us.
The problem wasn't Xander but 2 tall and stupid brunettes.
"Where's Leo? He asks.
"I have no idea. I know he knows where I am that's for sure." I laugh to myself.
He nods his head in agreement.
"Claude and I are going to have some wings, you guys should come and-"
My sentence is cut off when I can feel my neck being squeezed.
"Tap out." Tomas's familiar voice whispered in my ear.
"Never." I say.
He squeezes harder and harder until I finally tap out.
"I'll get you one day." I tell him.
"That's what they all say." He laughs.
Dylan is behind him rolling his eyes with a smirk on his face.
"We're going to head home. You and Sophia Alice come by this weekend, we have some important news to share." Xander tells me.
"Of course, I'll be there." I tell them.
He nods his head.
"See you then Frankiestein. Love you." He says walking off with Tomas following behind him.
"Love you," I call as Dylan gives me a kiss on the forehead.
I sigh as I watch them go down the stairs and disappear into the crowd.
I began walking downstairs to find Claude before Marco and Felix come out.
I find Claude at a table already eating wings.
"What a gentlemen you are." I tease.
"These are honey barbecue, I had to." I shrugs.
"Well can you hold off for about 5 more minutes? I'm going to go wash my hands." I say getting up.
He gives me a look that shouts 'no promises' and I shake my head but laugh in amusement.
I make my way towards the back of the club where I assume the bathrooms would be.
After I couldn't find them, a stop a guy passing buy and ask him to point me in the direction of the bathrooms.
He points to a door or the left.
I thank him and head towards the door.
When I open the door, I let out a huff of disappointment.
This idiot showed me the back exit.
There was nothing but a stupid motorcycle parked out back.
I let myself back into the building and from that door it didn't take long for me to find the ladies room.
After I washed my hands I returned to the table to find Sophia Alice and Chris at the table with Claude.
The rest of that night was spent indulging on wings and drinks.
I was going to have the biggest hangover in the morning.

Parallels
Parallels are a constant in life. Our friends' lives often run parallel to ours; we share similar experiences or tastes- perhaps even both. Sometimes, however, opposites attract- and our lives run perpendicular. In that case, we are not attracted by similarities; rather, we are attracted to the differences in others. So, what happens when two parallels are broken apart? What might happen to them? Are they forever doomed to run alongside each other, never seeing one another, never meeting? Or, perhaps, might they be spun about? Could these lines that formerly ran alongside one another meet? Could they possibly be set perpendicular? Any feedback is welcome, so long as it is constructive. Also, you may not use any characters, ideas, places, or what have you that I present here without my explicit permission. A note: This is a story which I began over a year ago, but never got around to finishing- it feels about time to really get it going. Now, there are a couple of things about the story, and myself, that need to be said. First and foremost, there's a slow start, but by the third-fourth chapter things should be speeding up a bit. Secondly, in regards to release speed and/or word count per chapter, I make no promises- my schedule is fairly random, and in regards to word count, I will cut off any chapter at any point that feels appropriate to me- that may include cliffhangers, if necessary. I'm not trying to reach a specific word count, I am trying to create a cohesive story, with pseudo-appropriate chapter breaks. This means I will also not rush a half-baked release for the sake of getting a release out. Thirdly, I will make any edits, anywhere in the story and at any time, that strike me as necessary- typically being wording and/or formatting changes, but I may also decide to change major plot points- in that case I would put a notification in the next chapter released. Finally, and most importantly, I am a Christian; this story is intended to at least moderately reflect those values. So, if you particularly dislike any of these things, feel free to look elsewhere, and don't let the door hit you on the way out. God bless, friends.
