"NO!" Cried Bobby, as he continuously slammed his fists against the car. "Where the fuck is she?"
"Bobby, I-," Angela began to cry.
"Shut up!" He angrily replied. "This is all your fault! Why the hell did you leave her alone?"
"Bobby!" Cried Scott. "That was a little uncalled for, don't you think?" He wrapped his arms around Angela as she began to cry.
"No!" Cried Bobby as he shook his finger towards Angela. "Alan's dead, and both Cara and Zoe are missing! All of this has happened this evening because you messed with that strange old woman's pet! I don't know how Angela! But I know you're somehow responsible."
"I'm sorry!" She cried. "I didn't mean any of this I swear! Zoe and Cara are my friends, you all are!"
"Get the hell away from me." Bobby replied a he shot her a cold stare. "Anyone who is friends with you seems to go missing."
"Stop it Bobby!" Cried Scott. "This isn't going to solve anything!"
"Fuck off Scott!" Yelled Bobby. "Stop acting as if everything is going to be okay. It's not. There is some sick killer out there who is bumping us off one by one. Well I'm not waiting around here to die a horrible death. I'm going to look for Zoe. When I find her, the two of us are going to get the hell out of here—without either one of you!"
With that he stormed off into the night. Angela was trembling was Scott continued to hold her.
"I'm so sorry!" She cried. "I'm so sorry!"
"It's not your fault." Said Scott.
"Yes it is." She said. "Bobby's right. This all began after I lost that woman's pet. Maybe you should just get away from me to!"
Scott then cupped her chin, and had looked into her eyes as tears began to well up in his.
"I can't Angela!" He replied. "I love you."

Bobby kept walking around the dark, frantically looking for Zoe. He kept calling her name, as he searched for her with the flashlight. Terrified at the thought of what might have happened to her, he couldn't stop crying. Why did he leave her? What if she's—? Then all of a sudden he tripped over something.
As he stood up, and shined the flashlight on it, he screamed in terror. It was another dead body, similar to the way they found Alan's corpse. But to his relief, it wasn't Zoe. It was a man, a cop. What was going on? Then all of a sudden he heard a feminine voice crying out to him.
"Help me!" The female voice cried. It was faint, but loud enough for him to hear.

"Zoe?" He cried, as he pointed the flashlight in the direction of where he heard the voice.
"Help me Bobby!" The voice cried once more. As he continued to look, he saw a young woman slowing descend in what looked like some sort of underground entrance. But to where?
"ZOE!", he cried as he headed towards the strange underground opening. Where was she going? It didn't matter, she needed him. He loved her more than anything. No matter what, he had to help her.
As he fallowed her to the entrance, he descended underground. When Bobby looked around, he realized that he was in a cavern below the surface. Torches kept the caverns illuminated, but the walls were covered in cobwebs. Why was Zoe down here? Something just didn't seem right.
"Help us Bobby!" He heard the voice cry once more.
"Zoe!" He called out her.
"We're in here!" The voice replied. "Please! Help us!" The sound of her pleas were coming from what looked like the entrance to another cavern. With that he immediately ran to the other cavern. To his horror, he saw Zoe was completely naked. She was also bound to what looked like a giant spider's web.
"Oh my god! Zoe!" He cried as he ran towards her. But before he could get very far, something wrapped around his ankles. With that he was pulled to the ground, causing his to fall flat on his face. Bobby groaned in pain, as he pushed himself up, and turned over on his back. Terrified by what he saw he screamed in horror.
"How?" He cried.
A lassoed web was wrapped around his ankles, as he stared into his captor's eyes. Standing over him was a beautiful young woman, but only from the waist up. From the waste down, she had the body of a black widow spider.
"Cara?", he cried.
"Hello Bobby." She replied with an evil smile, and stared at him through solid red eyes. "How kind of you to join us. But you really shouldn't disturb Zoe right now. She needs her rest. Her new little playmates kept her quite busy, just as mine had."
"My god Cara!" He cried. "What the hell happened to you?"
"What's wrong Bobby?" She asked. "Don't you find me beautiful?" He ignored her question, as he began to cry.
"You bitch!" He cried with his eyes full of angry tears. "What have you done to her?"
"Tsk tsk, Bobby." She replied sarcastically. "Didn't your mother ever teach not to talk to a lady that way?"
"Shut up you spider whore!" He cried. "I don't know what happened to you! But let Zoe go this instant!"
"I'm afraid she's going to be out for while." Cara told him. "It'll take sometime before the metamorphosis is complete."

"What metamorphosis?" He cried. "Don't play with me, Cara!" With that, she let out a maniacal laugh.
"Don't worry Bobby." She said, as her fangs started to grow longer. "I never play with my food!"

Scott, and Angela, were asleep in the car with their arms wrapped around each other. They didn't know what else to do, and thought it would be best to stay together at least until sunrise. Angela had a smile on her face, as they held one another. She hadn't realized it until he told her, but she loved him too.
All of a sudden, a warm breeze blew past her. It woke her from her slumber. But that's when she heard a seductive man's voice.
"Angela!", it called to her in a loud whisper. "Come to me my fire haired songbird, and I promise that the one known as Scott will be spared. But If I have to come looking for you my dear. I will have you watch as he dies a slow, and painful death. His life is in your hands. Come to me, and he lives. Try and avoid me, and he dies. No matter what my dear, you will be mine. However his fate will be entirely up to you."
Angela looked at Scott, as tears began streaming down her cheeks. He had a smile on his face. It wasn't fair, they finally revealed their feelings for one another. But she couldn't let him die. Because of a stupid mistake that she made, too many people had already died. She couldn't just let him be one of them.
So she leaned over, and gave him a quick peck on the cheek. His smile grew wider, and he let out a pleasant sigh in his sleep. This was only making things more difficult. But she knew what she had to do.
"All right." she whispered back to the strange voice. "Just keep your word, and don't kill him." It was odd, but somehow she knew the voice would hear her whisper her reply.
"I shall keep my word." The voice replied. "Come to me and he lives. I am just outside waiting for you."
With that Angela emerged for the car, as she cautiously was able to avoid waking Scott. As she looked straight ahead, a handsome man, with the lover body of an arachnid, was smiling at her.
"So my beautiful songbird." He said. "We meet again."
""What are you talking about?", she asked. "I've never seen you before." The beast chuckled.
"Oh but we have." He told her. "It was your sweet blood that released me from my prison. When my own mother forced me into the body of a tarantula some fifty years ago. When I first heard you sing, I knew you were the mate, the queen I had been searching for. I could have had any woman over the years when I was still human, but I never felt anything for any of them. Not until I found you. It is why I compelled to to come to me. Only my true mate could break my curse. Just as you two lovely friends were able to break the curse of their chosen mates."
"Chosen mates?" Exclaimed Angela as the thought frightened. "You mean Zoe and Cara, we each have more than one?"
"They do, my dear." He told her with an amorous smile. "But you are different, you are special. You are for me, and I am for you alone. You are my chosen queen, and you shall take your rightful place a the new spider goddess. and keeper of the dark magic of the bayou. And I my dear will rule by your side, as you bare my fruit. Then you shall bless us with a daughter, and she shall be the drider goddess reborn. Then we will truly possess the dark spirts of the bayou. And I promise I will love, and worship you for all time."
"No!" She cried in horror. "I don't want this!" With that she started to run, but a weblike cocoon swiftly began to wrapped around. It even covered her mouth before she even had a chance to scream. Angela laid on the ground, as she began to tremble in fear. Her eyes widened in terror, as he made his way over to her.
Gently he lifted her off of the ground, as he cradled her lovingly. He looked down at his newly acquired price, and smiled.
"Sorry, my pretty little songbird." he cooed. "But we have an agreement. The young man's life in exchange for your love, and loyalty. And even if we didn't, I would just kill him and take you anyway. For you see my dear songbird, from the first moment that your beautiful voice woke me from my slumber, your true beauty became my addiction. I can never let you go! We were meant to love on another, and we shall. Don't worry my little virgin, your first time will be special. And we shall enjoy each other's—company for a very-long-time."
Angela tried her best to protest, and wriggle out of his grip. But the bindings around her body kept her from moving. And the binding around her mouth kept her silent.
"Don't be afraid my love, my songbird, my beautiful Angela." He told her in a soothing whisper. "Angela? I do believe that means little angel. I must say, that is such an appropriate name for you, my future queen."

Author's Thoughts: What is litRPG (From wikipedia) - LitRPG, short for Literary Role Playing Game, is a literary genre combining the conventions of MMORPGs with science-fiction fantasy novels.[1] LitRPG is a literary genre where games or game-like challenges form an essential part of the story. A LitRPG work simultaneously narrates the story of characters inside and outside of the game-world. At least some of the characters in a LitRPG novel therefore understand that they are playing a game: they are 'meta-aware'. So, while Tolkien's Lord of the Rings is a fantasy novel, a book about people creating avatars and interacting in a Lord of the Rings MMORPG would be a LitRPG novel. Why do I read them? You know, I am not too sure. I love MMOs. I played them, quit them, joined up and repeated the cycle. They are fun! They are a massive waste of time but so are most games. Do I want to read about someone else playing them? Sort of?The advent of VR and the possibility of VR someday becoming so immersive that you can't tell them from reality sets the imagination on fire. What if this could be life? But most stories fall short. At the end of the day the protagonist hangs up his VR helmet and goes to have dinner with his mom and dad or other family and it becomes meaningless. It's like the story that ends because the main character woke up and nothing you read matters. There have been some books that explore the concept of the intersection of reality and total immersion VR. Enders Game is a classic. There were a few others that escape me but they exist, however, the cross between the game and reality is weak.So what if the game was real? The technology needed for total immersion VR is so advanced that by the time we reach that goal technology should have naturally evolved to include several items. You must have direct neural input. You simply can't have a total immersion (all senses and perfect presence) experience without this basic prerequisite. If you have direct neural access, you can probably do neat things like feed knowledge and skills directly to that person. You can undoubtedly do many horrible things as well. Muscles are controlled by the brain. If you control the brain why would you let the body just sit there and rot? A person that sits unmoving for 24 hours a day will have their body whither away just like a coma patient. However, if you control the brain you could control the muscles. On a basic level, this would be isometric impulses, working muscle group against muscle group to avoid atrophy. Taken to its logical conclusion you would be able to gain muscle mass and program muscle memory. The flip side is that you could remote control their body... but let's not go there. So what would people do if it were real? Well, they would probably limit and regulate it since the drawbacks are very obvious. Even if you look at the basic aspects of this you can see some negative possibilities. Look at the Sword Art Online anime. Personally, I think they missed the boat by putting a bomb in the VR helmet. Do you really need a bomb when you have direct access to the brain? So what kind of events would you need to have a situation where the obvious drawbacks haven't been explored? Maybe a society where the advancement of technology has so far outstripped the explorations of its applications that ignorance was truly bliss? Okay, so I had to put in an alien invasion to kickstart the premise, but that was just one of the possibilities.
