It's interesting how a story starts out in one direction, but then changes along the way. But as I had stated before, I equate writing with taking the reader on a roller coaster ride. Agan was always going to be the villain. However, he and the original Naga King were going to be the same character.

Originally he was going to know all along who he really was, and that it why he got a job as an anthropology professor. He was going to search for the perfect bride, who shared interest in his culture. Hence why his name was Agan King (Naga King).

Then I decided hat was a little to on the nose. So then I made him a sleeper character. It was going to be revealed that the Naga King had cast a spell on himself, erasing his own memory of who he truly was. He when then find his bride, and bring her home. But he would not understand why he had such a calling to do so.

The only time his true memory would return, was when his subjects would communicate with him. That is why he would get headaches whenever they would talk to him. After he was done communicating with them, he would get a sudden migraine, and forget about the conversations that he was telepathically having with his snake soldiers.

However, again, I thought it was a little too on the nose. So I changed it to Agan, and the original Naga King being two completely different characters. That way it was more of a surprise in the end, when it was revealed who the true villain was. Also, "And they lived happily ever after", was always a boring cliched ending for me. I prefer stories were the villain gets the girl, not the hero.

Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed taking this roller coaster ride with me. The winner of the choice for the next yandere fae character was the drider. The title will be called, "His Tangled Web".
