"I'd be stupid to say no" Louis laughed as Harry engulfed his hand in his own

"Let's go now" Harry smiled with a determined look in his eye

"What?"

"Let's go on our date right now" he said. We had finnished our tea and muffins long ago. I stood up with him and let him lead me out of the cafe. We laughed as we ran down the street, Harry was hiding his face so people wouldn't recognize him, and so that Louis couldn't see his blush.

"Where are we going Harry?" Louis manages to ask through his panting breaths and laughter. It had been a while since he could just let go like this, drop everything and have no responsibilities. He was always cooped up with Eleanor trying to make her happy that he forgot about himself.

As they ran down the sidewalk dodging people, Louis was reminded of his childhood.

"A secret place" Harry replied back, his smile stretching to his ears.

Harry pulled him off the sidewalk and into the bush on the side of the road, Louis just laughed and followed him. As soon as the foliage and trees covered them, Harry took his sunglasses and hood off and they began walking through the path in the forest.

Louis noticed that Harry didn't drop his hand from when he was leading him there, but he wasn't complaining. Quite the opposite actually.

They walked in silence listening to the wind and the birds, a soft trickle of running water was heard in the distance, so they walked toward the sound.

They came across a small stream of clear water, moss, ferns and mushrooms covered the river bank and a large fallen log was over the river. Louis thought it looked very cottage core, he liked it.

Louis didn't notice Harry stripping to his boxers, he was too focused on the scenery, but he was pulled from his thoughts when Harry let go of his hand and ran to the water, jumping over the small ledge into the cold water.

Louis let out a laugh as he took a few steps forward and looked over the ledge. Harry had just surfaced, he had a big smile and was looking up at Louis.

"Come on in babe!" He smiled, giving Louis a thumbs up. He didn't need to be asked twice, so without second thought, he stripped to his boxers like Harry and jumped into the water. It was deep enough to swim, but very narrow. It was like a crevice that was filled with water.

Once Louis surfaced, Harry splashed him with the cold water causing them to get into a small water war, splashing and pushing the other one into the water.

Now, they were floating on their backs, their hands interlocked so they wouldn't drift too far away from each other, looking up at the tree canopy and the sunlight peeking through

"I really like spending time with you Lou" Harry said as he turned upright again. They treaded water easily as they floated, mere inches away from eachother

"I like spending time with you too H" he replied

Harry lifted a wet hand out of the water and cupped Louis cheek, bringing him in close as their feet kicked beneath them to keep them afloat.

Harry pecked his lips twice before swimming back to the shore and climbing out, shortly followed by Louis.

"What's over there Harry?" Louis asked, pointing across the fallen log to the other side of the river

"That's my favorite place, follow me" he replied with a smile, pecking Louis on the cheek before stepping on the log. Once he was about half way, he turned around and held his hand out for Louis. He took it and they walked carefully across the log, their bare feet hitting the soft, dry moss on the other side.

Harry took his hand once more and they walked for a while.

"Here it is" Harry grinned looking down at Louis

There was large firepit surrounded by a few cut logs acting like benches, a tree in the back of the opening had hatch mark steps in it that lead up past the low leaves, disappearing through the thick, dark green foliage. Fairy lights were hung up all around the branches, illuminating the clearing.

"Wow, this is beautiful" Louis said as he admired the scene infront of him

"My friends and I come here alot. It's the only place my fans don't know about so it's really private here. It's like an escape for me, sometimes I come here alone" he smiled walking around the firepit.

"I can see why, this is a really nice place" he replied, turning on the last strand of fairy lights

"You haven't even seen the best part yet, come here" Harry said giddily, taking Louis' hand once more and leading him to the carved tree.

Harry motioned for him to follow as he used the hatches as steps and climbed the tree, his head, torso, and finally feet disappearing through the branches. Louis laughed as his hand stuck back out.

He followed Harry and when they got to the top, Louis found himself in a small, well worn tree house. A single sized mattress sat pressed up against the wall on the floor, a mini fridge was on the opposite side and a small stack of books and board games sat in the corner

"I love it, its so cozy" Louis smiled as he crouched to sit on the mattress

"I love it too" Harry smiled, sitting beside him

Harry leaned in, both boys had a smile on their faces as they slowly connected their lips. They pulled away a while later, lips a darker shade of pink and well bitten.

"Do you like being famous?" Louis asked

"Sometimes. Sometimes I wish I wasn't. One time some people found out where I lived and they camped on my driveway for the night. I didn't realize and when I left and they mobbed me. I wasn't hurt or anything but I had to move houses, which is kind of annoying. I slept here a that night and a few night after. I just wish people respected my privacy you know?" He replied, laying back on the mattress, an action in which the smaller man followed.

"That sounds terrible" Louis swallowed

"But I love my fans, I love preforming for them" he smiled, tilting his head to Louis

"Well then Mr. Rockstar, sing me one of your songs" Louis laughed as they sat cross legged on the bed.

Harry laughed and leaned over to grab a guitar that Louis hadn't noticed the first time he went in there. He strummed it a few times, tuning it probably, before he smiled and started playing a melody.

Harry started making boop noises, making himself and Louis laugh. Once he got to the chorus of the song, Louis' mouth dropped. Sure he had seen him preform twice before but that did not do him justice. This way felt raw, his voice was quiet and not being projected through a microphone.

"You're voice is really pretty, what was the name of that song?" Louis stated when he was done

"Sunflower Volume 6" he replied

"So are there 5 more sunflowers?" Louis laughed

Harry rolled his eyes and lightly pushed Louis down into the mattress

"Theres only one sunflower, but you can have as many flowers as you'd like" he smiled

They played board games and sang for a while longer, the time slipping by. Time seemed to be irrelevant in the tree house, it was like magic. Before they knew it, the crickets were chirping and the sun was down.

"It would be too dangerous to walk through the forest at night" Harry said nervously

"We can just sleep here then" Louis smiled, pulling his sweatshirt off and scooting into bed on the side closest to the wall. Harry laughed and scooted in beside him. The bed was only made for one person, so it was far too small for the both of them, but Louis pulled Harry close to him. His face nestled between his shoulder blades and his long hair ticking his forehead as they wrapped eachother in the sheets.

The mass of limbs and cuddles finally fell asleep.

Louis woke up to Harry placing a series of wet kisses all over his face, starting from his eyelids moving to his cheeks, nose and forehead

"Aagh" Louis laughed as he opened his eyes and took Harry's face between his hands, bringing him in for a proper kiss.

"I made you breakfast Lou" Harry said as they smiled back at eachother. He turned around and presented Louis a granola bar, an apple and a cheese string, all placed ontop of the game board for Candy Land

"I used my fanciest plate" Harry cocked his head, putting his hands on the bottom of his chin to frame his face as he gave his cheesiest smile.

"So fancy, love" Louis replied, pinching Harry's cheeks because he couldn't help it.

They spent the morning eating snacks from the mini fridge and cuddling, talking about random things and getting to know eachothers better.

"You're really cute" Harry said, pushing a peice of Louis hair behind his ear

"You're very cute" he replied, he has never been very good at expressing emotion, its was always very awkward and hard for him to tell people that he liked them, but things flowed differently with Harry. He felt as if he could tell him anything and he would keep it safe.

"I wanted to ask you something" Harry said, Louis nodded

"I know this is really soon but, look, I really like you Lou. And you don't have to say yes, but I was wondering if I could be your boyfr-" Louis cut him off with a kiss on his pink lips

"I'd like that Harold" he replied with a smile against his lips before kissing him once more.

It's been about a year since then, Louis came with Harry on his North American tour. At one of his shows, he even brought Louis up on stage and introduced him to everyone

"Hello everyone, I'd like to introduce you to my boyfriend Louis" the crowd cheered as Harry had his arm around Louis, he was tucked into his chest as Harry gently kissed his forehead.

This reminded Louis of that night a year ago. The New Years party where they had met. Alot has changed.

Tonight, Harry was on his last concert of the tour.

"Before I start, I wanted to wish my very lovley boyfriend a happy one year anniversary. I love you Louis" he smiled up at the seat Louis was sitting at. The camera zoomed in on him and he made a heart shape with his hands.

After the last song ended, Louis rushed back stage ready for Harry to come back. As soon as he emerged from behind the curtains, Louis ran to him, crashing their lips together.

"You did amazing tonight, I love you so much" Louis laughed as he pulled back

"I love you more Lou" he replied with another kiss.

After the concert, they were sat at Harry's house. Because he wasn't touring anymore, he had bought a permanent house.

"What are you gonna do now? Now that you're not touring" Louis asked, a cup of tea in his hand as Harry had his head laying on Louis lap. He played with his hair as his grinned into his stomach

"I'll keep making music, keep writing and record songs. But I think I'd like to settle down now. No more touring for me, it was really fun but it's so tiring" he replied

Louis nodded and ran his fingers throughout Harry's hair

He could tell that Harry was thinking about something, his eyebrows furrowed and his nose scrunched up

"What are you thinking about?" Louis asked

"The second I have a coherent thought, I promise you'll be the first one to know" Harry smiled, making Louis laugh at his response

"I was actually thinking.....maybe if you wanted..." Harry shyly said

"What is it babe?"

"Maybe we could move in together? I want to settle down. I want to settle down with you" Harry finnished

Louis bent down and left a small peck on his nose

"I would love more than anything to move in with you" he replied

"Really?" Harry asked, Louis smiled and nodded

"I thought you'd be tired of me by now" he said

"I'm always tired, but never of you. I don't think I could ever be tired of you"

It was the last day of Louis moving in. He wiped his brow of sweat before plopping down on the couch.

Harry peeked his head out from the kitchen, a glass of water in his hand

"Thanks babe" Louis thanked him as he handed him the glass

Harry rested his hands on his lap. He looked really nervous

"What's wrong? Are you alright? Are you sick" Louis asked, his hands found their way all over Harry's face, checking his temperature

Harry just shook his head no

"Nothings wrong"

Louis furrowed his brows, confused.

Harry stood up, and got down onto one knee. He opened his hand to reveal a thin silver ring.

Louis stood up infront of him, hands over his mouth in disbelief

"Will you marry me Louis?" He asked, his lips twisted into a smile as he tried not to get emotional

Louis felt the happy tears well up in his eyes as he squeaked out a 'yeah', giving Harry his left hand to slip the ring on his finger.

Harry stood up and engulfed him in a hug, by this time, Louis had let a few tears stream down his face and Harry wasn't hiding his own either.

They kissed when they pulled back from the hug

"I love you Harry" Louis let out a wet laugh

"I love you more Louis" he replied
