Él(he) or Ella(she) or Usted(for adults to show respect) es

= he/she/usted(formal) is

Nosotros(for boys or mixed gender) or nosotras(girls only) somos

= we are

Ellos(boys or mixed gender) or Ellas(only girls) or Ustedes(for adults to show respect(formal)) son

= they are

Examples: Yo soy Amanda. I am Amanda.

Tú eres muy bonita. You are very beautiful. *In this case, "tú(you)" is a girl since the sentence uses the word "bonit" which ends with an a(feminine). But if the sentence used "bonito", "tú(you)" would have been a boy since it's a masculine adjective.*

Él es alto. He is tall. *You can not use "alta" in this sentence since "Él" is a boy(masculine). If the sentence used "Ella" which is a girl, you must use "alta" since "Ella" is a girl. You have to use feminine for girls and masculine for boys. Feminine usually ends with an "a" while masculine usually ends with an "o" at the end of an adjective.*

Nosotros somos estudiantes. We are students. *No need to worry about putting "a" or "o" to decide whether it's a feminine or masculine for this sentence since it doesn't use any adjectives. It only uses pronouns/nouns(nosotros, estudiantes) and verb(somos).*

Ellas son bajas. They are small. or The girls are small. *In this sentence, you need to put "s" after the adjective, baja(small) since the noun is plural(more than one=they).*
