《Wedding Flowers [Completed]》4.

One day before wedding...

"Hello?" A deep voice calls from the front of the store. My insides start squirming just at his voice.

God, what's wrong with me? It's probably just nerves from this dumb-ass wedding I have to go to.

"Back here," Carley screams giving me a dirty look.

We finished the 50-fucking flower arrangements last night, well two in the morning. Who the hell needs this many flowers? I am expecting some grand wedding with 4000 people and butlers and champagne fountains at each table.

Yes, champagne everywhere.

"Shit, this is a fuck-ton of flowers," Ryder laughs.

"Wow, aren't you two a match made in heaven," Carley rolls her eyes and begins wrapping each arrangement in paper and rubber bands.

I'll have to actually assemble all of this shit at the wedding. They're too big and stupid to fit in the van put together.

Ryder shrugs and his eyes roam the store, "you own this place?" He asks looking at me with pretty blue eyes. I wish I could forget how those eyes looked all sleepy and drunk.

"Yes, my pride and joy," I say in a monotone voice, "I especially love this place when my ex-boyfriend and his fiance come in demanding giant fucking flowers for their stupid wedding."

I take a deep breath, "thanks for coming with me by the way."

"No problem. What can I help with?" Ryder asks.

He looks so out of place with his beard and six-foot frame surrounded by delicate flowers. There is nothing delicate about Ryder. I'm worried he can crush my skull in one of his giant hands so I can't even imagine what he could do to the bouquets.

"Can you start taking the vases to the van, carefully?" Carley asks.

He nods and grabs two boxes of giant vases and makes his way out of the door.

"Holy shit. Was he that hot the other night?" I ask fanning myself with an extra daisy.

Carley laughs and grabs the flower from my hand, "I don't know. It was dark in there. Is that even the same guy? Why the hell is a male model taking you to some wedding?"

"There must be something wrong with him," I say, "someone that looks like that is single for a reason."

Carley shakes her head, "damn, you're one lucky bitch."

Laughing, I hit Carley in the arm, "yes, I'm a day away from the worst day of my life, at least I have something nice to look at while the world burns around me."

"Are you always this poetic?" Ryder's deep voice says.

"Yeah, you'll get used to it. We have a two hour care ride to get to know each other. How fan-fucking-tastic is that?" I ask grabbing the box of flowers that we neatly stacked. He laughs and grabs more boxes of vases and Carley follows us out with the rest.

We load up the van with our light pink, yellow, and green logo and Ryder puts his stuff in the back as well.

"Ready?" He asks.

"Almost," I say running back into the studio for my bag, dress bag, and Boomer.

"What the hell?" Ryder asks taking a step back from the giant furry beast attempting to lick him to death.

"This is Boomer. My son," I say loading the dog into the middle seat of the van.

"Bye, Carley!" I say through the window.

"Behave yourself!" She calls back.

"No promises," I wink and we head out of the parking lot and towards the highway.

"Why didn't you just bring the dog as your date?" Ryder asks petting Boomer.

"It's his dad's wedding. Don't you think that would be a bit uncomfortable?" I ask.

He shrugs, "I went to my dad's wedding after he left us."

Well isn't this going to be a fun adventure.
