《Forced: Kidnapped by a Vampire Master (Book One)》Chapter 33

When we got into the store, Alex just left me all alone and walked off. I stood there waiting for a little bit in case that's what he wanted. Me to wait. But after a while, I got bored and headed over to check out the shop on my own. He didn't pay any attention to me either, so, ohhh well!!
I don't understand why he is being like this, it's quite strange. I was about to tell him I loved him too, but he wouldn't look at me. Why was that so hard? To look at the person you're having a conversation with . . . the person you love?
Shaking my head, I carried on looking around. It's just too odd, it was normal . . . older ladies shopping, younger couples, families . . . it was so . . . normal.
"Hey, can I help you with anything?" I turned around to look at who spoke . . . and was met by the most beautiful man I had ever seen . . . like . . . EVER!
He was fairly tall, with spiked black hair and the most piercing blue eyes. Not much older than . . . I'd have to say 25 . . . maybe. Two small black hoops hugged his lips, making his piercings all that more obvious.
"Oh, no thank you, I'm just having a look around while I wait for someone to finish shopping." I smiled politely at him, which he returned. As he was about to walk away, I felt a strong arm wrap around my waist, I didn't need to look up to see who it was.
"There you are. Thought I lost you Rose. Stay by my side." He told me in a harsh tone.
The man just looked at him, again smiled politely and walked away. As soon as he was gone, Alex's arm dropped from my waist and he pushed me away slightly.

"Don't fucking walk off again!"
"It wasn't like you were paying much attention to me, is it!?" He just shot me a warning glance and turned his back to me. I guess that's his way of telling me to follow.
Sighing loudly, I did.
When Alex was ready to leave, the man from before served us and we left. Once again, Alex hadn't said a thing to me, and to be quite honest, I couldn't care less.
Walking down the street, and after visiting a few other shops, we headed back to the car.
Pushing me in and putting the bags in next to me, he closed the door. What was going on? Maybe he forgot something, but as soon as the driver got in, he started the car and we headed off home. Where's Alex?
Pulling up around the driveway, there was a bunch of people waiting outside the house. Clearly, they must have been waiting to take the shopping bags inside. But there was still no sign of Alex. Where could he be?
Feeling slightly upset, I climbed out of the car and headed inside, closing the door behind myself and wandered up the stairs. Maybe it's best if I just stay in the room until he gets back. Then he can't be mad at me . . . right?
"Hey miss grumpy!" I turned and instantly smiled.
"Hey Kane."
"Where have you been hiding, haven't seen you in a while." I shrugged. "Where are you off to?"
"The room. Alex has done a disappearing act and I don't know where he is. Figured the best place for me to be is away from trouble." He made an 'O' shape with his mouth and nodded understandingly.
"Need company?" I smiled again.
"Couldn't hurt." Walking quickly the last few steps to catch up, we started off again, still heading for Alex's room. Maybe it won't be so boring sat in there after all. He doesn't even have a TV for christ sake!!

We had been sat in here for a fair few hours already and to be honest, it only seemed like minutes. Kane was really funny, and he had many funny stories to tell.
"But yeah, anyway, it's getting pretty late" I looked at the clock above the fireplace . . . he was right, it was nearly 9 o'clock. "I'm going out with some friends." I nodded, a little sad. Like I said, Kane was nice and it was so much better having someone to talk to.
"Okay, have fun."
"Do you wanna come? It's nothing exciting, but it's a Halloween party." He said, smiling.
"Probably shouldn't. If he came back, and I'm out with you . . . after . . . you know, it might cause some problems."
"Come on, I'll defend you." He told me with a smirk. I laughed lightly.
"Okay, let me change."
"Sure, meet me downstairs in about 20 minutes?"
"Sure."
"Cool." And then he was gone. I had NO idea what I was gonna wear, I remembered seeing stuff in the closet that I might be able to turn into something.
As I was looking, I found a nice black lace eye-mask, not very Halloween-y but it was the best I could do on short notice. I started changing, before heading down to meet Kane.
UNKNOWN POV
I was just wandering through the house when I could hear someone running down the stairs, thinking it was maybe Parker, I headed over to make sure she didn't fall. But when I saw it was Kane I stopped . . . until I noticed the GIRL. Alex's girl . . . was with him. She smiled.
I couldn't make out what she was saying, but then she leaned up and hugged him before the two left out the front door.
Hmm . . . well, this will certainly be interesting to tell Alex. Grinning, I headed back to what I was doing.
Rose's POV
The club was just like a normal club, with the exception of a few Halloween decorations, I feel stupid stupid at the number of times I've had to say that today. And what was odder, by what Kane told me, the club had both humans and vampires in it. It was kind of hard to really see anyone properly through their costumes, but I tried.
"What about them? She is clearly the vampire right?" This was a new game we had kinda invented. I would pick a random couple out and try and guess which was the vampire and which was the human.
"Yeah they're mixed, but no, she's human and he's a vampire." Kane yelled over the music.
I looked back over them, she was all goth'ed up, and he was just a sweet and innocent looking guy. Wow, looks really can be deceiving.
Kane had explained that the younger-ish generation of vampires didn't agree with having humans as slaves. They did agree that they should be allowed to work here, and be friends and lovers of vampires, but not against their will. Only young vampires of older families still believe they should be forced to work.
"Okay, what about . . . " I turned around, trying to find someone else, and then I saw him. Mr blue eyes. He was chatting away with friends, drinking . . . ew . . . a red liquid. One guess as to what that is.
Kane noticed me staring and looked over.
"Stay away from that guy." I rolled my eyes and looked away again.
"You sound so much like your brother."
"I'm serious Rose. He comes from a bad family. That guy is dangerous. Stay away from him."
"Okay! Okay!"
That night pretty much went from there . . .
