《PRINCESS ANARCHY | Dream SMP》19. It Stays in the Pit
Advertisement
Nia mutters under her breath as she enters Pogtopia, only to see Tubbo, Wilbur, Niki and Sara standing together at one place, staring into a pit in the ravine. She approaches it, being met with the sight of Tommy and Technoblade inside the pit.
Tommy has a deathly stare as he gazes at Technoblade, while the piglin looks more uncertain about the situation.
"Are you sure you wanna do this, Tommy?" he questions. "I mean, we can settle our feelings with our fists, but when we come out of here . . . win or lose, no hard feelings. It stays in the pit."
Technoblade glances at Wilbur, noticing Nia standing behind the tall man. She eyes both Technoblade and Tommy with a look of disappointment, which she hasn't been able to get rid of since her short conversation with Dream.
"What are you doing?" Nia speaks up, perking up the attention of everyone.
They turn around to face her, and Wilbur steps forward with a content smile across his lips.
"Nia! What a great timing! You get to see Tommy and Techno fight in the pit!" he grins widely. "You see, Tommy's kinda mad at Techno for almost killing Tubbo, so now they're going to have a boxing match!"
"You realize one of them is going to get hurt, right?"
Nia cocks her head to the side, knowing very well that the one she's talking about is Tommy. She's seen enough teenage boys be hurt today.
Wilbur laughs almost maniacally, nodding.
"I know, Nia! But that's the point," he says, pointing at the boy and the piglin inside the pit. "There's a lot of anger going on there, in this guy," says Wilbur, pointing at Tommy. "That's what makes it so interesting."
Nia glances at Niki, Sara and Tubbo. All three of them shrug, not knowing what's gotten into Wilbur.
"He's been like this ever since we got back," Sara whispers, making sure that only Nia can hear her. "He's been trying to rile Tommy minutes prior, too. I don't— I don't know what's going on."
"Anyways!" Wilbur clasps his hands together, his attention reverting back to Tommy and Technoblade again. "It stays in the pit!" he chuckles to himself, glancing between the two. "I really like that one."
"You hurt Tubbo, Techno," says Tommy. "You killed my right-hand man . . . y—you referred to J Schlatt as Mr. President—"
"Well, he is the President," Technoblade interjects to defend himself. "Even if I'm not a part of the country, that still— that's still a title."

Nobody can really argue with that statement.
"Do it," Wilbur whispers to Tommy, coming closer to the blonde boy. "Punch him, Tommy."
Tommy looks at the man that used to be the President of his country before staring at Technoblade.
"I'm not doing this for Wilbur," the boy says. "None of this is to do with Wilbur anymore. You just— you betrayed us, Techno . . . you betrayed us."
"I was peer pressured!" Techno objects.
"You can't just keep saying that!" Tommy exclaims.
"Yes, he can," Nia interjects, shaking her head. "I mean, where the fuck were you, Tommy, when you had the chance to step in and stop Schlatt from having Technoblade kill Tubbo, huh? Where were you? I had to fight Punz to even try and stop it from happening. What did you do, besides standing in place, watching it all unravel?"
Technoblade looks at Nia, stunned by the fact she's defending him. It makes sense that she would side with him, he just didn't expect her to do so in front of everybody.
"Ooh, someone else here is angry," Wilbur's grin widens as his gaze flickers between Tommy and Nia. "This is getting even better."
"Besides, there were like twenty guys that would've, like, shot me where I stood, okay?" Technoblade claims.
"I was shot at," says Nia, nodding. "And you fucking morons just stood there and watched."
She points at Wilbur and Tommy, though it does slightly apply to Niki and Sara, too. But considering that neither of them were prepared for the predicament, she cannot exactly blame them for trying to stay alive instead.
"If you want to throw the fucking blame at someone, try to look in the mirror first, Tommy. Then you can point your finger at other people."
"I— you! No, Technoblade was the one who almost killed Tubbo!" There is a desperate edge to Tommy's voice as he speaks, finally throwing the first punch, which surprises Technoblade.
"Yes! Get it out, Tommy! Think of what he did! Think of what he did to Tubbo!" Wilbur cheers the fight on.
Technoblade recovers swiftly, however. Unwilling to actually hurt Tommy, he blocks most of the boy's weak punches, before catching Tommy's wrist and flipping it behind his back with ease.
Tommy wriggles in Technoblade's grasp, which makes the piglin kick Tommy in the back of his knee with just about enough strength to not hurt him but knock him down to the ground.

Tommy topples down, rolling over to his back, only to have Technoblade put his boot on his chest, shaking his head.
"Stay down, Tommy. This is just— it's sad," the anarchist says. He sighs, "it stays in the pit, Tommy."
"Thank you!" Wilbur laughs, clasping his hands together once more, thrilled that Tommy and Technoblade held some form of a fight. Even if it lasted barely a minute. "This is absolutely perfect!"
Niki and Sara exchange concerned looks. And even Nia notices that there is something going on.
"I think that today was a success! I may have not found the button today, but that's okay, because the bombs are still there, underneath Manburg, as far as I can tell. I just need to make a new button." The ex-president grins widely.
"Techno!" Wilbur addresses the anarchist. "When I set it up next time, are you ready to assist me?"
"Oh, Wilbur, I have some ideas for how to destroy Manburg," Technoblade accepts, a grin spreading across his lips as well.
"Ooh, I'm excited!"
"Wilbur, I—I haven't told anyone this but . . . in my travels, I came across the materials to summon two creatures of mass destruction, the likes of which the SMP has never seen before."
"Technoblade, it would be my honor for you to show me those and help me out with this. You see the thing is, Technoblade, I—I know this might seem pretty confusing but, like, I— I don't care if you are or are not on our side! As long as you're willing to help me do chaos . . . as long as you're willing to help me."
"Ah, we're on the same wavelength," Technoblade grins.
"What the fuck?" Nia stares at the two men, dumbfounded by the entire conversation.
"Nia!" Wilbur exclaims, spreading out his arms for her to approach them. "Nia, you heard everything we said, right?" he questions.
"Yes?" Nia answers, cocking her head to the side as she gazes at Wilbur with a raised brow.
"You will help us, right, Nia? I know you wanted me to blow up Manburg today, which sort of didn't work out, but surely, you'll help us the next time, right? You still want Manburg to be reduced to nothing more but ash?"
"I— Wil— I mean, of course I do, Wilbur, but— eh . . . are you okay?" Nia inquires, genuinely concerned for the man.
"What do you mean, Nia?" Wilbur asks, staring at her. "I'm brilliant! I've honestly never been better! Though I'd dare say the day we get to actually blow up L'Manburg might top it."
"Wilbur—"
"It's going to be magnificent, Nia! You will see! Technoblade will help, you will help— ah . . . maybe you two can be friends again because of this!"
Technoblade and Nia glance at each other.
"I'm not so sure about that."
"I don't think it works like that, Wilbur."
"See, you even agree on this! It's perfect!" Wilbur grins. "I don't want to hold you anymore, but . . . just know that I have access to a TNT duplicating machine, so . . . if you ever need it, you know who to ask."
The man winks at Nia and Technoblade, slowly walking away from them without saying anything more.
"Well, I think this is the start of a beautiful friendship," says Technoblade to himself.
Nia narrows her eyes at him, but doesn't question him.
Technoblade wants to say something, but instead, he and Nia are approached by Tommy, who still looks fairly pissed.
"Technoblade," he says.
"Tommy." Technoblade gazes at the boy.
"We're not done yet."
"Tommy, I think we've already established that our quarrel has been resolved. It stays in the pit," Technoblade repeats, staring into Tommy's eyes.
"No, it doesn't fucking stay in the pit. You fucking almost killed Tubbo!"
"Jesus fucking Christ!" Nia groans, rolling her eyes. "Tommy, you have no fucking right trying to pin all of the blame on Technoblade! Stop, for fuck's sake, just stop!"
"But—"
"No, Tommy," Technoblade cuts him off, shaking his head. "You threw the first punch, Tommy. It has all been resolved, okay?"
"No, the pit did not resolve our conflict!" Tommy objects.
"Then what was it all for?" Techno quirks up an eyebrow at the boy. "Tommy, the thing is, you're using words . . . But the thing about this world, Tommy, is that the only universal language is violence. And we've had that conversation . . . We've spoken that language. In the pit. It's over, Tommy."
Technoblade walks past the blonde boy, tired with the conversation and with Tommy's constant whining.
"Onto a new day, a new plot . . . to destroy Manburg."

Blood Quest - A LitRPG
Leon's family has been diagnosed with a new type of incurable blood disease. It's an absolute death sentence and when it turns aggressive, you only have a few more years of painful life left to live. His mother has just begun the last years of the disease when a person supposedly comes back from death with supernatural abilities. He talks about a choice you get after death--get an extra chance to come back to life, or die. Even with Leon's diminishing life span, he won't consider the option of going there, until he meets another survivor who had the same goal as him and succeeded. Leon has a choice to make—die now for a chance to save his mother, or die in a few years, where the disease rapidly melts his muscles from his own body. He enters a game-like world, a sort of limbo, where his ultimate goal is to climb the tower of Katastroph before his mother's time runs out. There are a few problems with this though. The tower is almost impossible to beat, if you die you won't revive, and only three people in over twenty years have actually made it back. Leon has two years to climb the tower, with the help of the few people willing to try, while Ai, the tutorial guide, makes things harder for them. ***** The story starts pretty dark but goes onto a lighter tone. Then (more) dark again. Disclaimer: This story is an experimental project and I hope to get any and all feedback you can give me. Warning: First draft. Chapters tend to be between 3400-4100 words long (about 8-11 A4-pages). Mentioning it since I've seen it in other fictions :P Sometimes they're shorter, sometimes they're longer. ******************************** CHAPTER RELEASES UPDATE: As the first "book" in the series is done, I'm going to release coming chapters somewhat sporadically, and when Writathon ends, I'll probably go back to publishing one chapter per weekend. We'll just have to wait and see! I hope you enjoy the story! I really appreciate all comments and feedback, so if you have anything to say, feel free to voice it :) ************ [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
