《Onyx Blues (Completed)》Chapter Ten

I sat on the bleachers along with- hell the whole school was here! Not only the school but a lot of outsiders too, such as people from rival schools and a lot of girls as well. I didn't see many parents and certainly not my father which I thought was good, but I wondered if Craven would be disappointed that he wasn't here. I don't remember them interacting much as a kid, Craven was mostly doted on by his mother and his maids but never his father.

I sat on the lower bleachers right by where the Wellington Wolves were going to be sitting at. They were still in the lockers and getting ready I suppose; I don't really know anything about this sport. I sat alone mostly, the only friends I had were going to be on the field so it was kinda awkward to be by myself. I wish Damien didn't convince me to come here, actually more like blackmailed me. It was chilly and getting dark as the flood lights turned on, it was kinda exciting and I wondered if I'd be able to cheer them on without embarrassing myself.

The announcer started to speak and the crowd screamed when the players ran onto the field, some waving as they were introduced. I spotted Damien and Ramos immediately and Ramos waved to me, but Damien didn't wave he just looked at me and gave what I thought to be a smile. They came over to the bleacher by me and they sat down and continued to discuss most likely game related stuff, some members ran to what it seemed like either girlfriends or family. Craven was there also and I caught the few glares that he threw my way while he looked like he was searching the bleachers for someone.

But what caught my eyes was the cherry blonde that ran to Damien and... hugged him? My mouth almost dropped at the scene, I'd never seen her before obviously as she didn't go to the school. Was she a family member? Maybe a sister, they looked the same age and she was incredibly beautiful. I kinda felt jealous of how she hanged on his arm as they spoke words back in forth. Damiens face looked annoyed at her but that's how he was with everyone, soon enough he removed her arm and she look disappointed but walked back to the bleachers.

Maybe it is his sister, he never mentioned he had one but he never says anything ever. I know nothing about him personally at all and its now starting to bug me more. Yea I never tell him stuff about me but he already knows I have a brother and he never asks! From the looks of it he knows more about me then I do him.

In my deep thoughts I didn't realize the game had started and it started with a kick of the ball.

I did end up cheering, every time Damien tackled someone with a ball I'd stand up and yell 'hell yea!' And immediately sat down in embarrassment. I'd never seen him move like this before, he was fast but strong; those on the field ignored him as much as possible it was crazy. Our team the Wellington wolves were already in the lead and now I understood the hype of rugby games, it's awesome to see them out there on the field killing it. Well more like awesome for me to see Damien tackle people down like he was the hulk.

The referee blew the whistle and the teams got off the field and I figured it was to take a break. I wanted to talk to Damien and tell him how good he was, that the training he did really paid off. He looked at me with the same monotone expression but seemed like he wanted to come over and talk with me, he was stopped by the same girl from earlier and I blinked in disappointment- just who was she?

"Yo onyx!! Did you see me out there!" Ramos jogged over to me and I laughed.

"Hell yeah dude your straight up killing it, I have no clue what's going on but your fast as hell" I praised and he grinned reaching over to slap me on the soldier.

"You were screaming pretty loud every time Damien did- well anything, I didn't know you guys were that close" he said with a snort, eyeing me suspiciously. I rolled my eyes, ever since I told Damien to ignore me at school it didn't really look like we got along that well; we never really socialized in front of Ramos so I understood why he thought it was strange.

"Your overthinking, anyways who's the chick?" I asked using my head to nod at the girl with Damien.

"Oh that? I think her name is Rebecca or something. She comes like every game and says she's his fiancé or whatever but Damien doesn't seem that interested" he said rubbing the back of his neck and my mouth dropped, his... fiancé?!

"It's a arranged- oh shit gotta go talk to you after we win!" He said to me quickly and ran back to his team and coach that yelled for him. I didn't really hear him as I looked at the empty field in shock, he had a... girlfriend? No scratch that a fiancé?! That had to be some sick joke but Ramos wouldn't lie about that, Damien the one who kissed me and treated me like I was special had someone all along.

My mood dropped and I stopped cheering and basically stopped watching the game. I felt annoyed and angry, I kept telling myself maybe it was a mistake and I just needed to ask Damien. But when have I ever gotten a straight answer from him, and what if I do ask and it ends with him telling me he was playing around?! That I'm just someone to blow off steam with, how could he forget to tell me he had a fiancé?

Before I knew it the game had ended and I only came back to reality when the announcer said that the Wellington wolves had won. I looked up to see them cheering and hugging each other, of course not Damien as he ran over to me in great haste. He stood infront of me and just like that I forgot about the devastating news I had received, only for a moment.

"Damien you were awesome out there... I knew you'd win dude!" I congratulated him as I stood up as well and he grabbed my hand and I suddenly felt embarrassed. When he touched me I remembered, that he has a so called fiancé. If I was that girl I could've just hugged him, hell even kissed him for winning.

"You remember the bet we made right?" He said seriously, for someone who had just won a game he was more focused on me then himself and his other teammates. I looked at him with a uneasy smile and a faint blush.

"Uh yeah! We can talk about it later ok " I said trying to sound happy, not wanting to ruin this for him. I'd ask him about the girl later; even though I was angry. He looked happy, which was rare for him; looking at him made it hard for me to stay mad. As if I could predict the future the girl herself had come over, and she looked a bit annoyed- not at me but at Damien.

"Damien! Why did you ignore me- anyways I knew you'd win! I was rooting for you so hard!" She exclaimed touching his arm and giving me a faint glance but then smiled.

"Oh who's this cutie?" She chirped and I gave a laugh not knowing what to do or say. She seemed nice, but the nagging feeling of jealousy was tugging at me.

"I'm o-"

"ONYXX!!! come over here buddy!!" Ramos yelled and I was ripped off the bleached and into a bear hug by him and I could swear I felt my bones break with his squeeze. He placed me down when he noticed the hot glare of Damien who continued to ignore the blonde girl.

"Yea yea congrats" I said to him patting his back, he gave me a grin and folded his arms like he was up to something.

"The boys and I are gonna go out to party to celebrate, the coach is letting us go since we won. You should come with!" He said and I gave him a forced smile. Drinking with a bunch of jocks? While I already feel like shit? And Craven would beat my ass if I dared to hang out with him and his friend in public.

"He's not going." Damien said firmly and my eyes widened at him, he was deciding for me? No way, it ticked me off to high hell that he said it as if he was in control of my decisions. Ramos frowned and was about to take his word before I had said anything but I coughed loudly.

"Oh I wanna go! We all can go!" The girl interjected, trying to win back some of Damiens attention. The way he was ignoring was so evident that even I felt sorry for her; if it's true she's his fiancé why does he look so...

"Yea I agree. I'll go, I've never been to party so it'll be fun." I said making my announcement clear to him, now he definitely looked angry. His veins popped out of his forehead as his jaw clenched, Ramos could see he was about to explode and so did the blonde who immediately let go of him. Despite all the cheering and good vibes around us, Damien definitely had a murderous aura around him.

"Maybe you shouldn't-" Ramos whispered out terrified of what Damien would do.

"No I should. So let's go" I grumbled and started to walk and grabbed Ramos by the arm to tug him along.

"Onyx I don't know man look at Damien he's about to flip!" Ramos whispered yelled as we walked towards the other players and a Craven that glared at me with pure hatred.

"Good. I'm planning on pissing everyone off tonight."
